The Ascender calendar functions on a year comprised of 364 days for ease of understanding. There are no months, and so everything is referred to by its Season and Day Number. For example: Season of Summer, Day 45, Year 1355. It is only after the World Tree dies that the Second Era is marked, thus creating the distinction of defining which era is being referred to.
