Name: Abner Lindberger
Role: CitizenName: Abner Lindberger
Character Pitch:
On the corner next to an alley is a small pawn shop filled with whatsits and thingamabobs. Behind the dark counter is a man, mid-twenties, sitting hunched by his desk. That man happens to be Abner Lindberger.
From a young age, Abner was curious about, well, everything. His father was a mechanic, but not good enough to create his own inventions so he just fixed whatever people needed fixing with, for a low price. His wife had left him a while ago, not being able to withstand the thought of being tied down, so Abner and his brother, who he is now estranged to, were brought with him on every assignment. While Abner's older brother, Isaiah, ran off and wandered the streets during those times, Abner followed his father every move with unquenchable curiosity. This way, Abner learned many useful things from his father, and the people he worked for, that made well for him in the future.
One of the houses his father frequented for repairs was like none other that Abner had been to before. The owners had more books than Abner would have thought possible to room in a house, and was allowed to read as much as he liked whenever they were there.
After his father died, Isaiah became reckless and borderline dangerous, not being able to see outside of his own interests. Six months after the death, he stole away in the dead of night with all the money he thought their father had left them. But Abner, expecting this to happen, had hid away a portion of it, and along with his own savings he purchased the pawn shop he now runs.
Abner is a loner who stays quiet and hides in the shadows when he can. He enjoys his own company, and his sole companion is a faulty automaton who he found lying in a dump and couldn't properly fix since he's not a proper mechanic. Along with sometimes tinkering, Abner has many miscellaneous hobbies such as reading, sketching, and history. Abner is excellent at biding his time while his life passes.
He's gentle, but anxious and does whatever he can to avoid conflict - although that's not always a choice.

Appearance:
Even though Abner is a tall man, he seems like a small man with the way he carries himself, constantly hunched. He barely has any muscle on his bones, and his quite skinny. This makes his features sharp, but there's an obvious sadness and vulnerability in his face. If he were a different kind of person, he'd most likely be quite handsome.
His hair is fine and pale blonde, almost white. His eyes are a dark brown.
