Name: Justin Thomas

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Sexuality: straight

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person: Regular Person

Physical Description or Picture: He’s tall and skinny, looking less like an athlete than a stick. His eyes are dark brown, almost identical to his hair color. His hair is fairly long and straight and has an annoying tendency to get in his face. He’s very pale, and freckles in the sun rather than tanning, a fact he’s actually a bit embarrassed about.

How they feel about Monsters: he’s very conflicted about the way that he feels about Monsters. His older sister is a Monster, and he loves her unconditionally, no matter how different she is. He wants to get to understand other Monsters too, but they genuinely scare him, and he doesn’t know how to get over his fear.

Skills/Powers: very fast, with good endurance (being on the track team helps with that greatly), and a talented artist

Personality: He’s shy, and gets scared easily, but is constantly trying to overcome that. He knows he won’t get anywhere in life being afraid of everything, it’s just difficult not to get overwhelmed by his fears. Despite being shy, he’s no pushover. Once he decides on something, he’ll do his best to get it done. Sometimes, even if it’s been proved to be a really terrible idea.

Interests: Track, getting into a good art college, being an artist, being accepted, getting over his shyness and fears, finding his sister

Mannerisms/Quirks: uses lots of filler words, such as uh, like, and oh, he also tends to wear baggy clothes, as they make him feel more covered and safe. He’s bad at speaking to and in front of others unless you get him angry or passionate.

History (for Monsters, include transformation):
Justin’s life was completely normal for many years. He lived in a suburb of the nearby city with his family, his mom, dad, and sister. The city was a Monster and Monster Hunter hub, but Justin had very little contact with either group, leaving him to obliviously believe that most Monsters were bad and that Monster Hunters were just doing an important if a distasteful job. In general, he didn’t think about it that often.

This all changed when he was 13, and his older sister Maya got sick. She got so sick that the only way to save her was a very experimental procedure, with very experimental medicines involved. His worried parents approved the procedure, and with that, their lives were all flipped upside down. Maya transformed because of the medicine used with the procedure. It mutated her, giving her claw-like appendages and causing her to grow fur all over her body.

Their parents were horrified and devastated, but they blamed themselves completely, so continued to treat Maya the same as they always had. Justin was afraid of how Maya was at first, but after a while, it became evident that she hadn’t actually changed all that much. She was still his sister. And so, Justin was able to treat her normally too. This didn’t help Maya.

Maya felt like a freak, she felt out of place and knew she was a burden on her parents’ minds. So she ran away, just a year after her transformation. Justin is determined to find her and hasn’t stopped looking since she first went missing. He goes into the city, communicating with Monsters there, trying to figure out where Maya is. He paints his signature on buildings, hoping Maya will see it and know he’s looking for her.

What he doesn’t know, and won’t know for some time, is that Maya is dead. She was killed by Hunters her very first week out in the streets.

Extra: when he finds out Maya is dead, he will be devastated and angry. Maya was his closest friend for all his life and supported him through every hardship he had. In his mind, he has to find her. He just has to.

Name: RPT- 0411296, Code Name: Sun Flare

Age: [INFORMATION RESTRICTED]
He's 16

Gender: Male

Sexuality(optional): Straight (though don't expect him to be getting a girlfriend anytime soon)
I wouldn't be opposed with pairing him with some one, it's just that he has no reason to trust both humans and monsters at the moment

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person (choose one): Genetic Experiment (Monster)

Physical Description or Picture:

In his monster form, he seems to be a humanoid raptor. Red, orange, and yellow are the more prominent colors on his body. He has green eyes and a golden plume of feathers tipped with black on the back of his head and the end of his tail. In this form he stands 6'2" and weighs in at 325 Lb. Most of his weight is muscle.

As a human, he is white with blond hair. He dose have green eyes but they are not reptilian like his monster form. He is... Rather Handsome looking, and cleanly shaved. He stands 5'9" and weighs 200 Lb. He has a very physically fit body build.

How they feel about Monsters(yes this question applies to monsters as well): As a creature that was originally designed to KILL other monsters, Sun Flare feels indifferent about other monsters... He doesn't particularly like them (or care about them), but he wont exactly hesitate to kill any that try to cross him.

Skills/Powers (for monsters, these can be semi-supernatural abilities, for everyone else, just normal skills please):

(only in his monster form)
Incredible physical strength (up to 100 tons)
Highly Durable
Speeds of up to 70 MPH
Fire-Breathing

(In Both Forms)
High Intelligence
Extreme heat resistance
Heightened senses

Weaknesses:

Anti-Armor ammunition rounds:

Gen 1 raptoids have very durable and heat resistant skin, however. A few good shots of standard Anti-armor rounds would put them down easily.

Super Sonic Sound:
Due to their heightened senses, Raptoids can be rendered paralyzed when struck enough times with a high enough sonic strike.

Just being Human:
As a human, a raptoid has SOME resistances based on what ind they are, but otherwise they are just as vulnerable as one until they transform.

Personality: He usually comes off as unfriendly and distant, and when challenged he can be rather aggressive. Often seen as being "Just too cold hearted".

Interests: Letting bad people suffer, "Watching the World Burn", His own freedom

Mannerisms/Quirks: Due to his human and zoological genetic make up, Flare from time to time feels torn between his humanity and feral predatory instinct. This makes him more prone to rampages than many other monsters.

He likes cats, though no where NEAR as much as they like him.

He says goodbye by saying "Don't follow me."

History (for Monsters, include transformation):

Unlike many monsters, RPT- 0411296 was not born into this world but instead created. Using DNA from Humans, A Utahraptor, Various living animals, and even other monsters, the scientist Lauren Keys sought only one goal... Build a Monster, to kill other monsters. This craze of hers first started when her son's life was lost to a werewolf, and then her husband to another one. The process took agonizing years, but one day she could hear the cries of her success deep in the depths of her lab. It was on that day that the first batch of raptoids were made, and they were just as horrifying as she dreamed they'd be.

As the specimens continued to grow she took notice of their behavior and personality, mostly taking interest in the most savage and ruthless of the pack. She nicknamed this raptoid Sun Flare, for its fiery skin coloration and use of his fire breath. Sun Flare proved to be a lot to handle, more so than the other experiments. He seldom followed commands, he lashed out frequently, he even tried to bite Lauren! Though this did nothing to denture her from her mission. She had to see to it that the monster threat is eradicated! And with Sun Flare's ferocity, that dream seemed very much possible

Around the Time when Sun Flare was 8 years of age, Lauren started to take notice that her "little freaks of nature" had the ability to "become human" at will. She assumed that this was because there was Lycan DNA in their genetic make up, and even more surprising they some how learned to speak! Though it seemed that her fire skinned favorite was the most proficient at both, she was still very impressed. But at the same time she was also rather shocked to see how Identical his human form looked to her son. This led to her becoming more and more attached to Sun Flare, and eventually in his adolescence this led to the unthinkable... Sun Flare took advantage of Lauren's weakness and escaped! But not after killing the other experiments first, and then leaving the closest thing to a mother he'll ever know heartbroken and alone in the dark. Sun Flare Now Roams the world free, living a life as a solitary vagabond.

Sun Flare cares not for humans or monsters, just for his own survival. However, should anyone try to take him down... The last thing he'll do is run away. While He despises humans more than he does other monsters, he would rather not get involved with the strife between the two so long as he can avoid it.

Extra (optional):

Not that it matters, but Lauren is still alive. and wants to see to it that Sun Flare is back within her facilities before too many people see him. (and before hunters try to kill him)

Before monsters were even considered a problem, the Koles family ruled the country in the shadows and were the leading business owners in many illegal practices... Such as drug and weapons dealing, and prostitution. No matter how close the law seemed to get to capturing this criminal group, the Kole family always managed to get away with the money AND a good chunk of merchandise. Things only got EASIER for the family once monsters started to appear throughout the world, in fact thanks to the daughter of the head of the house hold, money would be rolling in to their pockets much quicker. The name of this woman is... Bethany.

Growing up the child of a crime boss gave Bethany a lot of perks, such as her own team of body guards, her own car (when she was only 13), and even leading a number of operations on her own (when she was 15). With the threat of monsters now terrorizing the world, Bethany though of a number of ways to not only make money for her family but possibly make law enforcement look the other way from their future endeavors. 'Let's offer services, to hunt down monsters!', and hunt them they did! for years now the Koles family has made a pretty penny from a number of monster related practices. From hunting them down, to selling them like slaves, even forcing them to fight one another like animals has made them thousands to even millions of dollars!

Bethany Now continues to hunt for monsters when ever she is not running operations or managing other parts of the business, though she does have a goal set for her self. To hunt down the most powerful monster on the planet, and keep it as an exotic pet for her personal collection.

Extra (optional):

Age: [RESTRICTED INFORMATION]
He's 25

Gender: Male

Sexuality(optional): Straight (but who in the right mind would want to f*ck THIS THING?)

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person (choose one): Genetic Experiment (Monster)

Physical Description or Picture:

His monster form is a Gen 2 Raptoid. Like the gen 1's (Sun Flare is Gen 1), they are a humanoid raptor. Unlike gen 1's however they lack the scythe-like talons on their feet. Death spike is also multiple shades of green instead of having fiery warm colors. In addition he is also armed with long, barbed, poisonous quills covering the top of his head and back of his head, the back of his neck, the entirety of his back, and all the way down his tail. He has blood red eyes, stands 6'7" and weighs 300 Lbs.

Although he rarely uses it, Death spike Does have have a human form. It is lean and lanky in build, stands 6'3", and weighs 220Lbs. He has raven colored hair and red eyes.

How they feel about Monsters(yes this question applies to monsters as well): Ever since he became a monster, he sees OTHER monsters along with every other living thing... as food.

Skills/Powers (for monsters, these can be semi-supernatural abilities, for everyone else, just normal skills please):

(as a monster)
Incredible physical strength (up to 80 tons)
Highly Durable
Speeds of up to 120 MPH
Poisonous quills (which he can use as projectiles), claws, and talons
A Poison gas breath
Venomous bite
Perfect Camouflage (almost like invisibility)

(as a both)
slightly heightened Intelligence
heightened senses
poison immunity

Weaknesses:

Fire:
His poisonous gas is HIGHLY flammable, and he can be set on fire in mid attack

Non-Bullet-Proof-Skin:
His quills are nigh indestructible, however... JUST his quills (his skin isn't bullet proof)

Sound:
Shares the same "Raptoid weaknesses" as Sun Flare

Although Death spike has thousands of quills, only 200 of them can be used as a projectile. it takes 3 days for quills to regrow. 1 week for projectile quills.

Quills are not inexhaustible:
Personality: Spike... Is insane. He behaves more like a savage, bloodthirsty, starving predator than he does a human.

Personality: Spike... Is insane. He behaves more like a savage, bloodthirsty, starving predator than he does a human.

Interests: Eating and killing

Mannerisms/Quirks: Just like Sun Flare, Death Spike's genetic structure is composed of both human and a variety of animals and monsters. So he too is sometimes torn between humanity and animal instinct. However, unlike Flare... Spike leans more towards his predatory nature, he doesn't hesitate to kill even those that would try to help him.

The stench of death looms over him at all times.

History (for Monsters, include transformation):

Unlike Sun Flare, the Second Generation of Raptoids were not made from the ground up. Gen 1 Raptoids took too much time to grow, and breeding was going to be out of the question now that Sun Flare is roaming free with his siblings completely destroyed. The Raptoid Project had to continue, but Scientist Lauren Keys did not have the time create new gen 1's from scratch. She had no choice but to turn to her college 'Alvin Millers', for ideas for their next move. Although it seemed inhumane, they Alvin suggested they take ordinary humans, and test a new experiment to create the next generation from. At first it seemed dirty, but desperate times demanded desperate measures. So Alvin called in a favor he had been saving for years, for a situation like this...

Enter, Kevin Smith. A criminal who was arrested years ago for the murder of his own family and a large number of other people. But don't think for a second that any one in said family was innocent, as they were all almost as crazy as he is! Back when he was 17, his kid sister (14) tried to kill their father... Which she only did because he tried to kill their mother, which HE only did because she tried to kill Kevin... Which SHE only did because HE killed both her grandmother and their dog down AT THE SAME TIME, by throwing them out a window. This conflict ended with Kevin ultimately killing everyone in his neighborhood (who were ALSO a bit crazy), before being arrested by police. He was given a life sentence, until one day (after being locked up for several years)... Some men in suits said they could help him with his "problems", if they went with him.

This is when Kevin was experimented on, and he became the first second generation Raptoid. Rather than being a monster from the start like the generation before him. his creation took muck more... painful measures, to complete. Kevin was literally ripped apart and smashed back together several times over using all the genetic material that was intended to be used. Doing this on a normal human being would wreck their psyche, so this was far more traumatic for Kevin (who was already a nut case). However, oddly enough, He seemed to obey commands to an extent. With Kevin now a whole new breed of life form, he needed a new name. after testing his new abilities, Alvin gave him the nickname "Death Spike". With all lab tests completed, it was time to try how he preformed in the field. Thus Alvin and Lauren gave him one task, "Hunt Down and return the Raptoid 'Sun Flare', and kill anything that gets in your way."

No longer human, Death Spike can now kill anyone or anything he wants without the law interfering, and kill them if they even tried. Not even the hunters seemed to want to go any where NEAR this horrid abomination. Now where was this Raptoid named Sun Flare?

Extra (optional):

His creators just said to Bring Sun Flare back to them... They never said to bring him back alive...

There several stages of effects when it comes to the poison and venom of Death Spike.

Stage 1: reduction of motor skills, minor nausea, vision reduction

The Early stages of the poison are meant to weaken and disorient the victim, this usually sets in between 45 seconds to 1 minute of being introduced to the body.

Stage 2: Greater loss of motor skill, vomiting, hallucinations.

As the toxin continues to spread through the body, so dose it's hold on it. The visual sensors of the brain are affected first, leading to hallucinations and in some rare occasions paranoia. Digestive system is also effected in this stage, making it more difficult to possess sustenance needed to survive. The victim may also regurgitate during this stage. Victims usually enter this stage within 3 - 5 minutes of being infected.

Stage 3: Paralysis, Seizures, Blindness

The victim is no longer able to move their body on their own at this stage, and their vision goes dark. The body also violently shakes from time to time. On Rare occasions, the victim may also lose control of their bowels and/or bladder. This stage sets in withing 15 - 20 minutes after being infected. and can last up to 3 - 5 days before the final stage sets in. Death Spike usually kills his prey long before they reach this stage.

Stage 4: Death

The victim suffers total organ failure, and suffers from the inside out. This typically happens after 3 - 5 days after being infected. Needless to say, once some one has reached this stage, it's too late to save them.

Name: Sabrina Braveheart

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Sexuality(optional): Bisexual (though she's been leaning more towards a sexual attraction to females)

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person (choose one): Monster Hunter

Physical Description or Picture: She is 5' 5" and weighs 110 Lbs. She's a D cup.

How they feel about Monsters(yes this question applies to monsters as well): She doesn't exactly dislike them. But there is one that she hates (and fears) specifically.

Skills/Powers (for monsters, these can be semi-supernatural abilities, for everyone else, just normal skills please):

Remarkable athlete
Great Reflexes
Gymnastics
High amounts of Stamina
Proficient with spears and javelins
Very Smart

Personality: At first glance she is a shy, reclusive, friendly girl. But she is also a bit of a coward, many wonder why she's even a hunter.

Interests: Books, Anime, Movies, basically anything any other teen girl likes.

Mannerisms/Quirks: She's insecure about her body, particularly her large chest.

Although she does like animals, there's one that she HATES.

History (for Monsters, include transformation):

Sabrina Braveheart was just your average girl. She was the brightest in her class, she followed the rules without question, she was also (debateably) the prettiest girl at her school. She lived with her single mother, as her father died in an accident when she was small. But the two of them were happy, very much so. But Sabrina's life would one day take a very dark turn for the worst. Monsters were always feared in her area, though she and her mother simply let people be people and did nothing to really get involved in the madness. Until one day, they were attacked by a monster them selves. Sabrina could not get a good look at its face as it was wrapped in a tattered, ragged, linen and leather, hooded cloak. But she could remember the putrid odor of decay that came from it, as well as the long spikes that poked out the back of it's cloak. That was the day, her mother was murdered and eaten right in front of her. Had it not been for a local monster hunter coming in to the rescue, Sabrina would have shared the same fate. Since that day, Sabrina vowed to take revenge in the name of her mother. Though she is still fearful of the next time she sees that thing again she hopes to muster the courage to put the freak down for good, so that no one else would have to die by the claws of that creature.

Extra (optional):

Yes, she IS hunting who you think she is

Name:
Alex Mercer
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Monster/Monster Hunter/Human: Human
How they feel about Monsters(yes this question applies to monsters as well): Alex is an advocate for equality among all races, he is a man that seeks pure justice. He’s seen first hand the kindness these so called “Monsters” possess in their hearts and personally prefers calling them Mutants, NuHumans or something of the sort. The term Monster is something he thinks should be applied to countless humans, if not any human that considers themselves superior, anyone who looks down on the Mutants and treats them as if they are less than human. Crime is crime, Alex knows that, be it in the case of a human or mutant, either side has the potential for good and evil.

Skills/Powers (for monsters, these can be semi-supernatural abilities, for everyone else, just normal skills please): Gifted intelligence
Expert interrogator, good communication skills
Intensive firearms training with variety of weaponery
Wrestling, kickboxing
Renowned athlete
Tech-savvy
Good with cars
Lockpicking
Stealth
Respectable tracker
Critical-thinking and problem solving

Personality: Stoic and humble, Alex follows a military-oriented standard having spent eight years in service. Maintains respectable behavior and an outward image that demands discipline and exemplifies honor and faith unto ones country. At least, that’s all what the guy wants someone to think. On the inside, Alex almost prefers doing things the hard way; getting his hands dirty and going off the books, so long as he isn’t caught in the process.

He’s one to break the rules and instill fear into any witness that dare expose him, putting his integrity and reputation at risk of being besmirched by the public eye. Having a workaholic kind of nature, it’s not easy to catch Alex off guard as the man is always alert and hardly relaxed. He’s not the type to take days off or waste any time, dedicating himself to a higher purpose at any cost.

He’s not exactly the friendly type but not necessarily rude and lingers somewhere in-between work and fun seeing as he loves what he does, that being kicking ass and taking names. At his core he’s a simple kind of person, not taking much to make him happy in the short term; be it cracking open a cold one while watching the game or going to the park for a quick three on three, Alex is a testament to the American dream and everything that comes with it; blood, sweat and tears. He’s simply focused on adding sound justice to that list.

q54rkL3.jpg

Interests: Sports, guns, grills and the latest model Camaro. Goes without saying he’s also into kicking bad guy ass.
Mannerisms/Quirks: Very polite but gets bored easily. Straightforward attitude often comes off as rude and blunt. Not really concerned with anything that doesn’t kick bad guy ass. Doesn’t like to ask for help or admit he needs it, so pretty stubborn kind of guy. Very humble. Beating around the bush is a huge pet-peeve.
History: Being the oldest out of eight siblings really makes a kid assertive, leaving him with a lot of pent up aggression having to share every little thing in his possession from clothes and toys to even a seat on the couch. It forces one to grow up faster than they’d like and leaves one with a strong desire to make something of oneself, especially if doing so means having your own space. This upbringing is the root of Alex’s ambitious nature to make a positive difference in his life. As the boy got older he developed a heavy sense of pride and confidence, occasionally dabbled in arrogance, seeing as he was quite the exceptional athlete among his young peers and easily one of the smartest among the others in his grade, on paper at least.

Despite growing up with many siblings, they were all good kids that just brushed shoulders and bumped heads more often than they’d like to admit, which lead to Alex rarely being home, preferring wide open parks and fields and spending the night at a friends house every night he could, specifically one friend; Thomas Blair who lived just down the street. The two were nearly inseparable since 1st grade and practically the same kid, the most significant differences being Thomas’ blue skin, fangs, tail and a variety of other Monster like features, but Alex only ever saw a friend.

So when Alex, now sixteen years old, carrying rollerblades and hockey gear, letting himself through Thomas’ front door as he had done for the past decade, found two parents brimming to
the core with unconditional love and support sobbing in each others arms, it was at that moment he realized what a monster truly was. When Alex’s best friend gets a full magazine of bullets to the chest for chasing down a mugger runnging off with a single mothers purse, he would dare any and everyone to call him a monster and gladly deck whoever in the teeth for doing so.

Alex and Thomas had both dreamed of joining the national hockey league together, despite Thomas’ abnormalities, there was nothing that made him any less human than the hundreds of people they watched and looked up to on television. They had often discussed surgery to remove Thomas’ tail, which was really the most significant feature that made him stand out, from afar he’d look like your average human.

After Thomas’ death, Alex made it his life mission to bring justice to the community society called Monsters, but politics were corrupt and could only do so much. He had watched enough television growing up to know violence was the only thing people truly understood.

This mission for justice and equality, however, could not begin without some swift vengance. After Alex had graduated high school, he spent the summer preparing for the Air Force. Just before being shipped off for basic training he managed to track down the racist coward who had shot down his best friend, the man even had a record of discrimination and assault against the creatures. He awoke one night tied to his bed in chains, surrounded by roaring flames. By the morning the man and his house were nothing but dust.

oPunPz7.jpg

Now a decade and couple years later, Alex only spent about six months in the Latro City Police Department as a street cop before being promoted to junior detective and quickly climbed those ranks as well, finding a place in the vice department, which handled many of the cities criminals, those lowest of the low who dabbled in drugs, gambling, prostitution, breeding, selling and pitting monsters against one another. With a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and having spent six years serving in the Air Force, Alex was quite suited to deal with Latro cities vilest criminals, both mutant and monster alike. Having the highest population of monsters nationwide, Alex considered the city his playground, criminals being his favorite toys.

Extra: His favorite sports are hockey and MMA.

Name:
Naomi Hunter, alias: Huntress, Samurai Princess, Crazy Girl with Guns and Katanas
Age: 23
Gender:
Sexuality(optional):
Heterosexual
Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person (choose one): Monster Hunter
How they feel about Monsters(yes this question applies to monsters as well): Seeing as Naomi dropped out of college during the beginning of her junior year, she ultimately sees monsters simply as something that pays the bills and her student loans. Other than that, she's kind of indifferent towards them and finds them to be intriguing and even kind of cool so long as they aren't eating people or committing crimes.
Skills/Powers (for monsters, these can be semi-supernatural abilities, for everyone else, just normal skills please):
Master Marksman
Expert with standards small arms and explosives
Adept in Kenjutsu
Adept in martial arts, primarily taekwondo (stronger with her legs than arms and fists)
Master athlete, renowned gymnastic
Great at driving sports cars
Personality: Quick witted, clever and intolerant to nonsense and shenanigans. Seemingly wise beyond her years and acts more like an old Asian man than anything else. Won't hesitate to smack someone upside the head or shove the barrel of her gun down their throat should they direct and rude remarks her way. Makes herself seem big to make up for her short height. Not fond of strangers, but can be a real sweetheart towards her friends. Absolutely hates surprises or when her schedule/preferred habits are out of the ordinary, possibly stems from an obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Elccj6k.jpg

Interests: Fruit smoothies, japanese soda, violin, mathematics, video games, Asian culture, music and food, prefers mammals, reptiles and sea creatures over most people, dresses, mini skirts and long socks with cat designs, bow ties, headbands, all things kawaii; buttons, necklaces, charms, bracelets, holsters, sheaths, magazines, scopes. Blacksmiths, gunsmiths, tailors. Phở. Marrying Jack the Ripper.
Mannerisms/Quirks: Somewhat narcissistic in nature. Only truly happy when she has her Phở and japanese soda. Doesn't like being outside her home without her guns and swords. Tremendously more sociable and friendly in online chatroom's and MMO's than real life.
History (for Monsters, include transformation): Raised as an only child, Naomi's parents were relentless with their high expectations that would see her attending an ivy league university and maintain a 4.0 GPA. She was born wealthy, her mother a lawyer and her father a renowned surgeon. Her childhood was spent getting schoolwork out of the way as soon as possible so she could hop onto her computer for some extreme gaming, often not sleeping during the weekend and going for a full week straight without sleep during the summer, strung out on coffee energy drinks. Despite being aware of and even interacting with Monsters on a daily basis, she payed them no mind. They only ever reminded her of creatures she would see in video games, some highly resembled the enemies found in the acclaimed Monster Hunter series, which only took her two weeks to clear a 100% completion.

She was a natural child genius, however, having formed many bonds with fellow gamer's during her childhood influenced her to pursue more ambitious feats than a career in law or medicine. This was a silent agenda, one she wouldn't reveal to her parents who would disown her instantly. So she played along with their game, knowing full well the time would come someday where she could take advantage of some glorious opportunity that would bring her enough fame and fortune to spend the rest of her life immersed in a massive multiplayer online role-playing game. She was truly a child at heart and wanted nothing more than to surpass the legacy and stardom of the very characters she played as on the screen.

mUyDHEu.jpg

Naomi's life was already laid out before her; she was an excellent athlete, having earned her university a variety of gold and silver medals in gymnastics and tennis. She maintained a solid 4.0 throughout her career and was destined to become one of the nations leading chemical engineers, would probably marry a doctor, have several kids and retire in a beach-house by the time she was sixty. She was a perfect contributing member of society and it almost made her sick to her stomach. There would be no hall of fame, no hundreds upon thousands upon hundreds of die-hard fans screaming her name at a comic-con, wearing her merch, a sea of teenagers much like herself dressed head-to-toe in clothes plastered with her face. By the end her legacy could never rival that of a Hatsune Miku, Ninja Gaiden or Solid Snake.

The answer was clear, it was quite evident what her true calling would be and had been right under her nose since the beginning. All across the world, creatures of all shapes and sizes were causing trouble, running rampant among civilization, many of which had even infiltrated society. She heard many stories of notorious monsters leaving death and destruction in their wake, many of which had bounties on their heads and were that of legends, still roaming the country to the present day.

Naomi decided it was time to act. Her fridge stocked to full capacity with japanese sodas, her pantry nearly bursting open with Vietnamese beef bowls, she hunkered down for one last gaming binge only leaving her on-campus apartment to replenish groceries and exercise. It took a month for each of her professors to drop her from her scheduled classes. Even after the fact campus security didn't come knocking until a month and a half later. With a few days eviction notice she had already moved out, eager to track down one of the most renowned monster hunters in the nation; Jack the Ripper, who stole Naomi's heart from the moment she laid eyes on his disfigured face on the late night television news after he had cut a local monster bank robbery short, dicing the criminals into tiny pieces.

After tracking down Jack, she tempted him into making her his protege after stealing two handmade ancient Japanese samurai swords from a local samurai museum (along with some throwing stars and poisons), all of which she offered to Jack. At the time Jack's mentor, Samuel Bishop, was still among the living. It was ultimately his decision to recruit the die-hard fan, seeing as she managed to impress him at least yet not really making any impression on Jack, thus breaking Naomi's heart. With that being the case, Samuel had still grown fond of the ripper-maniac and sent her to Asia, where his mentor resided, seeing as Jack refused to make Naomi his protege. Naomi spent two years learning the art of Kenjutsu and was determined to catch up to her superiors.

Although Jack remained the superior swordsman, Naomi made astounding progress in the short amount of time she spent training, a feat undoubtedly stemming from her track record as a renowned student-athlete. She returned to Latro two years later, in one short year climbing the monster hunter ranks almost as fast as she climbed the Resident Evil 5 Mercenaries mode online national leaderboards. In fact, it was definitely faster. In no time at all the public eye, humans and monsters alike, began referring to her as Huntress, Samurai Princess and that Crazy Girl with Guns and Katanas, nicknames she earned considering her decapitation/head shot count. If you asked her directly, she would refuse to admit her undying love for Jack the Ripper, which was anything but mutual. Despite this, the two made a pretty good team, if Naomi managed to track Jack down on whatever assignment he was jumping to his aid no matter how often he refused her help, which was all the time.

Extra (optional): Favorite animals are cats and dolphins. Will cry watching any sad movie and deck anybody in the teeth who teases her for it.

hdX8BwB.jpg

Name: Jack Harlow, alias: Jack the Ripper, often addressed to simply as Red

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person: Monster Hunter

How they feel about Monsters: Considering Jack's family was torn to shreds by a pack of wild Lycan's, along with having lost an eye and having several parts of his face disfigured at such an excruciatingly young age, his feelings towards anything that isn't human in general was at one point deeply embedded in fear, such emotions having manifested over the years, turning to rage and bloodlust.

Skills/Powers: Jack has spent the majority of his life in vigorous, extreme training at a relentless rate making him a gifted acrobatic. He is an expert in a variety of hand to hand fighting styles, firearms and Kenjutsu (Japanese swordsmanship) despite being well-trained with firearms, Jack prefers not to rely on them. His katana has grown overtime into, in plain terms, a third arm, more often than not dicing anything that comes near to tiny little pieces. Along with these skills, Jack is also a master tracker and respectable hunter, if he were to pick up a rifle.

Personality: A cold and apathetic person towards any and everyone, friend or foe. On the forefront of Jack's mind at every given moment is the termination of the Monster species, regardless of any sound justification for their existence. His eyes are red with bloodlust, his heart as cold as icebergs. Quite frankly if one comes to Jack with some matter that does not involve the extinction of monsters, there is an extraordinarily minuscule chance he will concern himself with such a matter. Despite this bloodlust demeanor, deep within Jack's soul are the remnants of a happy childhood, a good life by the hand of good people, his mother, father and older siblings; all of which are now deceased, yet their presence still lingers within Jack's frozen heart. The man is not deaf to sound morals and doing what is right, so long as what is right is not in favor of a Monster's life. If one can manage to tug the strings of this childhood tune, they'll find that Jack is willing to go to the ends of the earth to help somebody in need. It is something his mother and father would've expected of him. The man is not evil, simply riddled to the core with a twisted form of what he calls justice, but is in truth a thirst for vengeance.

Interests: If there were a DIY guide titled "1000 ways to tear a monster to shreds" it would be at the top of Jack's e-reader favorites list. Other than that, the man has a soft spot for dogs and Japanese culture (i.e. Buddhism, ongaku, calligraphy, Washi, Ikebana) he is also a fan of American cinema, popular video games, and shrimp cocktails.

Mannerisms/Quirks: Extremely introverted and heavily reserved but not necessarily shy. Awkward with women. Quick to become hostile and aggressive towards humanoid Monsters upon knowledge of, well, the fact they're a monster. Akin to Japanese culture and mannerisms.

G6mRXet.jpg

History: At the young age of nine years old, what was meant to be a tranquil camping trip in the mountains of Aurora, Colorado turned to what came to be a gruesome, blood-ridden nightmare. As Jack and his older brother by five years were fishing for dinner by the lake, the rest of their family were ripped to shreds and became dinner themselves, a pack of Lycan's had infiltrated what was meant to be a rabid monster free zone. There was so much blood Jack and his brother could taste iron in their mouths a short distance from the campsite.

Upon their arrival, Jack's brother was forced to grab him and cover his mouth to silence the blood-curdling screams. In nearly seconds, a Lycan leaped from out of the tree. Daniel, Jack's brother, lifted his younger sibling up and made a full sprint in the other direction, his many years spent in the local soccer league paying off. Seemingly out of nowhere, another Lycan swiped at the two from behind a tree, leaving a deep cut opening wide the skin from Jack's left eye down to his jaw as well as slicing open Daniel's neck in the process, silencing Jack's screams and killing Daniel.

The last thing Jack could remember was three Lycan's standing above him. In one swift, graceful cut, the three of them were beheaded in less than a second. The middle Lycan's head landed on Jack's chest, it's tongue sticking out, eyes wide open. At that point, the boy fainted. The three Lycan's had escaped containment thanks to the carelessness of the monster keepers who were transporting them across state lines. A monster hunter by the name of Samuel Bishop was immediately hired to track them down and execute them, seeing as they had escaped near civilization.

Samuel blamed himself for the death of Jack's family, knowing full well he would have reached them in time if he hadn't stopped on the way to flirt with the head female park ranger. From that point on he adopted Jack and oversaw his development, training the boy in Kenjutsu as soon as he was of age, planting seeds that would lead to a future career as a monster hunter.

Extra: Functioning alcoholic; also addicted to cigarettes and dine-in movie theaters.

Name: Hazel Anika Farrow

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person: Monster

Physical Description or Picture: Hazel is 5' 6" with green eyes and long brown hair that she often keeps braided or otherwise tied back away from her face. While she keeps them most of the time under jackets and coats, she also has wings with coloring and patterns similar to the harpy eagle.
Harpy-Eagle-Wingspan.jpg

She weighs about 130 lbs thanks to her wings.

How they feel about Monsters: Hazel doesn't think it's very fair for monsters to be called...well...monsters. After all, they're all human in some way, right? She embraces what she is and tries to encourage others to do the same, with mixed results.

Skills/Powers: Hazel has enhanced senses, eyesight being the primary one, and hearing being the secondary. She can also fly. Because....wings. Her flight is more focused on agility and speed than it is strength, and she can maneuver in tight spaces at speeds that look to be almost impossible.

On the ground, she has quick reflexes and good combat instincts, as well as enhanced strenth. Her grip especially is extraordinary, as is her aim. She is especially proficient with long-range weapons such as rifles.

Hazel can hear frequencies that humans can't, and if around a frequency that's strong enough, it will disorient and deafen her for a short amount of time, causing her to crash or even collapse entirely.

Personality: Hazel is fun, at least to those she trusts. She enjoys the outdoors and hates being forced to hide what she is for fear of being killed. To strangers, she puts on a mask of cool indifference and even suspicion, carrying herself in a closed off way that is only accented by the fact that she wears a jacket everywhere she goes in public.

Interests: Revolution, justice, equality, pizza, freedom

Mannerisms/Quirks: Thanks to her birdlike appendages, Hazel is often seen fidgeting with her shoulders and her jacket. She tends to cock her head when she's confused, and when frightened she tenses and raises her shoulders and neck high, as if trying to make herself seem bigger.

History (for Monsters, include transformation): Hazel was born normal, to a normal suburban family, at the end of a perfectly normal cul-de-sac. Her parents loved her, and she loved them back, and for a while everything was perfect.

Then things started changing. An experimental chemical plant was started a few blocks from her house when she was eleven, and when she was thirteen, there was an explosion. It was 2PM on a Tuesday in September, and she should have been at school. But instead, she was sick at home with the flu, and the toxic chemical fumes blew through her open window.

Two weeks later, she found the first feather.

It started slow at first. One day, she'd have buggy eyesight, the next, she'd be able to smell what the neighbor was cooking for dinner. All the while, feathers were spreading up her spine and outward, eventually forming into fully fledged wings.

She never told her parents and, at fourteen, she ran away from home. It was obvious by then what happened to monsters, and her father worked for the Hunters, supplying them with weapons and inventing new ways to catch the 'ungodly freaks', as he dubbed them. If he knew, she'd just end up as his newest lab rat, daughter or not.

At fifteen, after a year of living on the streets, she found a group of other monster-people, not much more than children, who were going to change the world. And with them, she started her revolution. Now, at seventeen, she is the leader of one of the biggest revolutionary vigilante groups, hoping that through illegal heroism, they can convince the Hunters that maybe not all monsters are evil. They call themselves 'Phoenix'.

Name: Acadia Finch Carson

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Sexuality(optional): Straight

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person (choose one): Monster

Physical Description or Picture: Acadia is thin, almost too thin, and keeps her hair short. Small green scales, almost the color of her hair, dot her arms and back, not really in any particular order or pattern. She's often seen with rings under her eyes from lack of sleep, and with tangled, mussed hair. In human form, she is 5' 8" and weighs 120 lbs, and in dragon form she is 12' 6" and weighs almost a thousand pounds. A small, scarred brand resides behind her left ear, marking her as the property of the Koles family.

How they feel about Monsters(yes this question applies to monsters as well): Acadia wants monsters to be treated with the same sense of justice that normal humans are. You wouldn't give a human the death sentence for thievery, and yet monsters are shot on site for doing nothing. She's seen the worst of the hunting industry and wants to see it eradicated....by any means necessary.

Skills/Powers: Acadia can shift into the dragon shown above. In this form, she has super strength and flight. She's built for fighting and speed, not so much for agility. She can breathe fire, and cannot be burned when in dragon form. Her scales act as armor, leaving only her underbelly, wings, and face more vulnerable to peircing and slashing. Despite being a powerful beast, she is susceptible to electricity- and if shocked hard enough mid-transformation, it can keep her in her human form and even knock her out.

Personality: Acadia is quiet and shy, not often speaking and usually avoiding people's gaze. She doesn't trust easily and her suspicious nature can often cause people to think she dislikes them. She has trouble speaking her mind and making plans.

Once she's in her dragon form, however, she is practically the opposite. She's loud, angry, and almost cruel to those she deems as threats. However, she's also intensely protective, and when friends' lives are on the line, she will use herself as a shield to protect them.

Interests: Staying alive, having food and water, justice, Pheonix's wellbeing

Mannerisms/Quirks: Acadia often wears sweaters and keeps her hood up, hiding the scales and the fact that she's constantly tired. She walks with her hands in her pockets and her eyes trained on the ground. When storms roll in, she seems to almost 'come alive', as it were, her eyes lighting up and her lips twitching into the ever rare smile.

History: Acadia was born into a family of genetic engineers, both parents working on a 'cure' for the monsters that had mutated in some way. For the first few years of her life, everything was fine. But, at age six, the scales started to appear. Her parents pounced on the chance immediately- their daughter was one of the very group they were tying to cure!

They used her as a test subject, injecting her with strains of their possible cures and watching to see what would happen. Most times, nothing happened. Sometimes she'd get sick. Other times, it would just make more scales appear. Once, it turned her hair sea green, permanently staining it the color of her scales.

It was when she was 17 that it had the biggest impact. The mutated DNA in her body reacted to the cure, but not in the way they had expected. It 'unlocked', if you will, a new power, something that had been laying dormant in the girl for the past eleven years.

And she couldn't control it. The dragon took over and destroyed the lab, killing her parents and destroying their work.

From then on, she lived on the streets, scrounging to survive and running from the Hunters that tried to capture her. More than once, she's had to escape the clutches of some of the most feared hunters, even breaking her way out of a fighting ring when she was pitted against another monster for humans' entertainment.

When she was 18, Phoenix reached out to her with the offer to join- however, she refused. With such a big target on her back, it would bring unneeded attention to the vigilante/refugee group, and though she works with them from time to time and protects its members, she does not live in their quarters or know privileged information from the group.

She's been actively destroying the hubs of Hunter groups, trying to take them down in the only way she knows how.

Extra (optional): Acadia is plagued with night terrors, a side effect from one of the cures, and often wakes up in a cold sweat....if she even gets any sleep to speak of.

She enjoys flying through storms and at night.

When she gets too angry or upset, the dragon takes over, leaving her humanity in the dust and making her do things she later regrets.

Name: Wilhelm Douglas
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Occupation: Monster Hunter
Physical Description or Picture:
mccree_by_nat10730-dc0m4g1.jpg
6'1" tall

How they feel about Monsters: Equates them to animals who need to be controlled. The more human-like are still part animal and therefore beneath actual humans. Harbors no innate hatred towards them.
Skills:
  • Shooting
  • Tracking
  • Running
  • Wrestling
  • Gunspinning
  • Moonshining
  • Horseriding
  • Off-roading
Personality: A good-natured man who loves to drink, shoot, fight, laugh, play, talk and capture monsters. He doesn't shy away from getting in others' personal space.
Interests: Guns, Booze, Pool, Darts, Monsters, Money, Gambling, Mountaineering and Europe
Mannerisms/Quirks: Twirls his revolver when idling, can often be found chewing on a cigar, likes to go for a drink with his monster hunter colleagues

History: Born and raised on a farm alongside 7 siblings, Wilhelm's life consisted of hard work, family values, making moonshine and keeping animals away from the crops and cattle. At the age of ten his father bought him a rifle and told him to shoot at anything that shouldn't be on the property, as the man had done for every one of his children. Every so often, they'd go hunting for wild boars to keep the population in check, but also to keep them away from their farm and just for fun too. During these hunts, Wilhelm found that he, more so than the rest of his family, had a good ear, a good eye and an incredibly steady hand. Every shot he took was a hit, or at the very least a graze. Sometimes they'd come across a monster, too, but those were treated just like the hogs and would be promptly shot down.

As he grew older, Wilhelm became more fascinated by guns and hunting monsters. With his skill he knew he could get out there and make a name for himself, but he also grew bored of just protecting the farm and hunting boars with the occasional monster. At 19, he left home to get a job as a monster hunter. It was a slow start, but he eventually gained good recommendations for his efficient work. Over the years, he's traveled all across the US to face new monsters and learn more about them, to take them down easier. In time, he's grown into a very good hunter.
Extra: Wears one earplug to prevent going completely deaf from shooting guns.

Name: FLUX (Unit F-5573)

Age: 3, but appears 25

Gender: M

Sexuality: Straight

Monster/MonsterHnter/Regular Person: Monster Hunter

Physical Description or Picture: FLUX is a humanoid android that is exactly six feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and sharp eyes....almost too sharp. They're not human, that's for sure. He walks deliberately and stands as if he were a well-trained solder, not swinging his arms and blinking every four seconds, right on the dot. His face is smoothed into a neutral expression most of the time, so much so that a smile almost looks unnatural on him. He dresses sharply, in suits and ties, even when hunting.

How they feel about Monsters: FLUX doesn't exactly feel anything. He treats monsters cordially and will even help them out if his protocol states he should, but he also won't hesitate to kill one should his current owner demand him to.

Skills/Powers: FLUX is basically a walking, talking lab and fighting companion.
He can't feel pain
As long as his internal workings aren't damaged beyond repair, he can keep fighting
Tactical Combat AI
Scene Reconstruction
Tracking
Proficient in martial arts, melee weapon use, and firearms use
If he 'dies', he can come back as long as long a copy of his code is somewhere
Hacking
Negotiation
Interrogation
Recording
Document Storing
Direct connection to the web
First Aid

Personality: FLUX is quiet and unassuming, taking orders in stride and not speaking up unless he is invited to or has something important to add to the conversation. Occasionally he will speak out of turn, but only if he feels he is helping in some small way...even if that way is bizarre and unnecessary.

Interests: Whatever he's ordered to do

Mannerisms/Quirks: FLUX is not human, and thus he has no human quirks. He idles when not doing a task, standing and smiling passively at the passers-by or staring straight ahead and just blinking.

History: FLUX is an android designed by a yet-unknown person, created as the most advanced of his kind and rented out to Hunters who need an extra hand....or someone more expendable than a human life. It's easier to watch green blood and wires spill out on the floor than a comrade, after all. He has no memories, no life before his activation, and no opinion on any of it.

He feels no true emotion, though sometimes he will refer to his actions and words' motivations as things such as 'concern'....even if that's just fancy talk for his protocol.

Despite his being created as little more than cannon fodder, he seems to almost enjoy his work. AIs are meant to be constantly learning, after all, and in his line of work, FLUX gets to learn about the world for every second.

Unfortunately, some of his robotic and slave-like mannerisms have gotten him abused by the very people who enlisted his help, and he is wary of humans to an extent since those incidents.

Name: Clive Brixton

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Sexuality(optional): Heterosexual (straight)

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person (choose one): Monster

Physical Description or Picture: Clive is a tall man, standing at about 6'4" with a near average build. His appearance is fully human, save for his mouth and eyes. His mouth is unnaturally large, with the split between his upper and lower jaws going back much further into his cheek area, filled with many large, strong, and sharp teeth. His eyes are sharp and calculating, with royal yellow iris set in pitch-black sclera.

How they feel about Monsters(yes this question applies to monsters as well): When he was normal, he feared them. But now he truly understands what it's like to be one, hated, feared, and scorned by regular humans.

Skills/Powers (for monsters, these can be semi-supernatural abilities, for everyone else, just normal skills please):
▪Can eat most substances, both animate and inanimate, including those that are poisonous or raw.
▪Incredible jaw and tooth strength, enough to bite pieces from thick steel and concrete.
▪Highly enhanced digestive and immune system.
▪Specialized sense of smell, with which he can differentiate freshness and quality of potential food. (Note: it isn't really enhanced, just specialized like I said.)
▪When hungry, he gains enough strength to simply break something for a bite to eat.(chairs, pipe, limbs, etc.)
▪training in: intermediate diagnostic ability, common clinical procedures, emergency medical procedures (EMT training), basic surgical procedures, medical science

Weakness(es): While Clive can achieve fairly impressive feats of strength after using one of his syringes, this does not mean his bones are built to absorb shock. Hitting something too hard while in an adrenaline rush could potentially fracture or break the respective bone. He is also quite tired after the adrenaline runs out. Also note that he is by no means either trained in or built for combat. Anyone with some fighting skill could likely beat him without too much effort.

Personality: Clive isn't very talkative, though not exactly quiet. He is naturally curious and will go to great lengths to find answers to his questions. When meeting new people, he pays careful attention to their demeanor and how they act; he likes trying to read people. When a medical emergency comes up he becomes blunt and urgent, refusing to calm down until the patient is alright.

Interests: medicine, "the bigger picture", his research, new experiences(mostly figuring out the exact limits of his abilities), Phoenix

Mannerisms/Quirks: When meeting a new person who doesn't immediately reject him because of his obvious "monster status", he will sometimes take a bite out of something to see their reaction. Due to curiosity, he also sometimes catches himself sniffing random objects to get an idea of how it might taste.

History (for Monsters, include transformation):
Back when his life was normal, Clive had dreams of becoming a doctor. So he went to medical school, and eventually decided that kind of medical practice wasn't really his style and ended up dropping out after a couple years, and later picked up a new project.

World hunger. The solution most suggested had been increasing the amount of food in the world and getting it to the people suffering from hunger. However, Clive came up with a new theory. Perhaps the answer was to instead make humans more adaptable as to what they could consume and derive nutrients from. And so, after countless hours and many dead lab rats, he found something that worked. But human trials were the real issue. Clive couldn't exactly go out and get volunteers, since the entire project was illegal. And so the only availble candidate was himself. It was very risky, not knowing how it would affect him, and more importantly, whether or not he'd survive. But he decided to do it anyway, unable to bear the thought of quitting without his research ever having been really tested.

But the formula he'd concocted worked. It actually worked, he could consume toxic waste, glass, steel, and his body easily handled it. He'd eradicated hunger, blood poisoning, and many other problems. But he knew his findings would never be accepted, even if they didn't alter the body like this, because they aren't the work of a human. Not anymore.

Nowadays he continues his work in secret, trying to perfect it. He has joined a group called Phoenix in order to observe and record anything that might shed light on the faults in his research, aiding Phoenix in their agenda however he can as he does so.

Extra (optional): His most treasured possession is a book filled with his findings, along with some photos of old friends. He also carries around a few syringes filled with 70mg of epinephrine(adrenaline) each, in case of combat situations. Taking more than one of these in a days time, even with his being nearly impervious to poisoning, is still dangerous. (50mg is the highest known dose anyone has survived, with the safety level being around only 4mg.)

Monster Form
Merkava.full.2179702.jpg

How they feel about Monsters:
Monsters to Aria were always a mixed bag and still remain that way to this day. She saw those that looked out for their fellow kin and those who sold them out to get the hunters off their back and to live another day. Aria wishes there was something she could do but it's hard to do so when you have two sides fighting for their own beliefs. The struggle of monster and host.

Skills/Powers:
In monster form, Aria has increased strength, Towers above any tall human (6'11"), extendable limbs as well as the ability of sprouting wings primarily to only glide and hover for a short amount of time.

Personality:
Living a normal life as best she can, inside Aria is fighting for control over herself. One side being the rational and kind human wishing to make peace even if she herself is a monster unknowingly to those around her. Aria would never think to engage in fighting, only if she and her other half agree to do so if it means survival and another chance to work things out. It takes a lot to get Aria mad but she can be easily calmed down when the stress is taken away from the problem which is easier said than done however.

Interests:
Tea
Reading
Listening to music
Watching Rainy days
Movies
Games
Friends

Mannerisms/Quirks:
Aria usually is an isolated person. Keeping to herself and avoiding trouble at any sort of cost to keep herself at bay. Those who she becomes close with she will develop a deep trust with while not saying no to meeting them in a cafe or social-able place of any sort too. Stress gets to her quickly along with pressure and easily starting bringing her monster form out and possibly losing her grasp on control.

History:
Living in the city her whole life, Aria had been supported through thick and thin by the family she knew of. Good grades in school, no criminal record and she was even planning to take a hard working career path. However on a rain filled night, grabbed and snatched into an alley, the girl was mugged and taunted by her attackers. What happened in the next hour the police report only described as "a sight from a thriller movie" The attackers had been dented into solid brickwork, limbs broken and the main one responsible for organist the attack left in a state where their mind had been completely shattered. Aria eventually found back in her family home was taken for questioning after trails had been traced back to her. The police got impatient asking how a girl like her could even pull off such a retaliation. The pressure built, the stress grew too much and Aria cracked again as her other side took over. The interview room attendees watched as the girl before them turned her skin as dark, Markings crawling across her skin, her hair and height growing and a single flickering glow in her eye as it grasped one of the detectives scrambling for the door as the creature simply uttered the word in a otherworldly voice.
"I shall ascend!"
Years after the event, Aria's family had disowned her, the girl now keeping to herself has a steady life. Working in a coffee shop, paying her rent, living normally and trying to keep the relentless beast inside her at bay until she can find peace in herself and monsters she comes across just like her.

Extra:
Any chance to geek out over the simple things she will with her friends.

Name: So-Rae Morgannson
Age: 14
Gender: Male

Monster/Monster Hunter/Regular Person: Half-Monster. (His mother was a human-like monster, his father was a human.)

Physical Description or Picture: He's a single mind split between two bodies: One looks like a tan human with a rather poor build but great dexterity, the other is a ghostly humanoid silhouette that looks like a hole to another existence. That other side of the silhouette shows little lights that resemble stars on a dark blue evening.
How they feel about Monsters: They feel compassion for them.

Skills/Powers: They together can generate a feeling of hopelessness, pointlessness, realization, and loss within a radius of three meters. When enlightened, they can boost morale instead. The silhouette can also float and carry people around as if they weigh nothing. The silhouette cannot separate more than four meters from So.

Weakness: So is not any more physically capable than a human. He's really cowardly, being a lover, not a fighter, so he'll run away from a fight immediately.

Personality: Both try to be confident in times when others need a charismatic character. The human is always ready to offer support, while the silhouette is always sadly pointing out possible negative outcomes of others' decisions. It mainly does it when the decision is important, though.

Interests:

- He wants peace between monsters and humans. He knows how it feels to be a monster and that humans are no less evil.

Mannerisms/Quirks: The human is hopeful, the other is a pessimist- each body carries one end of the spectrum.

History (for Monsters, include transformation): So-Rae was never truly human, to begin with. His mother was murdered by a town that hated monsters. Even though he had everything he needed, being raised well in a middle-class suburb, he always felt torn between a world of selflessness and a world of pain and nihilism. It eventually got to the point where his mind literally split consciousness to support both of these philosophies, and his monster within, taking up the name Rae, shed its human form, taking most of the hopelessness and leaving the charisma of its former body. Both of their minds are able to feel both sides of the spectrum but both believe their side is the right one.

When the silhouette appeared, it didn't take long for him to realize that he needed to run- quickly. So he carefully set up an escape plan with his monster side and ran away.

He mainly lives in a town that advocates for monster and humankind to reconcile.

(Siana’s never allowed anyone to come close enough to her, thus she doesn’t know which gender she’s attracted to.)

Monster / Monster Hunter / Regular Person:
Monster

Physical Description or Picture:
Human
Siana has medium to long, raven black hair that falls just passed the middle of her back, her skin is naturally tanned a sign of her mixed heritage. She stands at about six-foot two, her body is large and well built; rather fitting for what she is and what she is capable of. Her eyes are almond shaped, although they seem a little large they somehow don’t look big with the rest of her features. Her irises an unnaturally vibrant, honey and amber colour, under normal circumstances. As her anger grows red lines and specks begin to flow and spark across her eyes.

Overall Siana’s face is fairly squared off, her jaw not as dominant but certainly evident and coming to a wide, slightly rounded off chin. Her cheekbones are also evident and sit in the middle of her face, not too high or too low, smooth and not too sharp. Her nose is thicker across, giving a bit of space between her eyes but not in an unattractive manner. Her lower lip is fuller compared to the thin wide m-shape of her upper lip. From the side her nose is straight with the slightest bump right at the bridge, very reminiscent of the sculptures of the roman people.

As a human she maintains rather prominent fangs along with claws on both hands and feet. She tries to keep the claws under control with trimming and filing but they tend to come back to full length faster than expected.

Monster
Standing at roughly 30 meters which translates to about one-hundred feet makes Siana’s mostrous form one of colossal proportions. A rather fitting size considering her destiny and reason for existence. A hybrid of humanoid features mixed in with draconic and reptilian characteristics, this colossus of a being holds feminine attributes across her form and face beneath her matching hair and burning pupil-less eyes which are almost the same colour of her human glare, the red of rage mixing into what could be considered a rather beautiful and harmonious mixture of honey and amber.
Two large horns protrude from her forehead and curve backwards slightly. A thick long tail extends from the base of her spiked spine. Clawed human-like hands and feet, along with plating across several defined and large muscle groups. Her elbows and knees are also slightly spiked as well.

How they feel about Monsters:
Siana does not easily make friends with anyone. Her thoughts towards monsters, humans and hunters are all in the same vein of ‘keep your distance, it’s safer that way’.

Skills / Powers / Weaknesses:
Human:

Pros:
  • Supernatural durability, strength and stamina along with supernatural senses. Her sense of smell being the strongest.
  • Trained from a young age in the ways of her tribe’s warriors, mostly harnessing the use of spears and staffs.

Cons:
  • Siana is built and meant to be a warrior, this means she can take hits and dish out deadly blows, but is slow due to her physical size.
  • Her acute senses can cause problems for her as well. Whether it’s bright lights momentarily blinding her or different high and low frequencies of sounds being able to stun her.
  • Siana’s emotions also tend to severely affect her actions, more often than not leading her to make stupid decisions in the heat of the moment.

Monster:

Pros:
  • Uncalculated amounts of strength due to the severe change in every aspect of her size.
  • The protective plating across her body has faced no issues against human weaponry, new or old.
Cons:
  • Similar to the issues she has in her human form, Siana is still slow, if not slower in her Colossal form. Capable of covering more ground with larger strides doesn’t necessarily make someone faster.
  • This form requires large amounts of energy to enter and also leads to Siana being almost completely drained upon returning to her human form.
  • Should anyone manage to knock her unconscious in this form she will most likely remain that way, reverting to her human form and staying knocked out until her body can regain enough energy to function again.

Note: Various types of energy can fuel her body. Other than the copious amounts of food that she tends to consume, solar energy and nuclear energy are two examples of what can be used to fuel and energize her body, which allows her to transform.

There have been experiments in the past to understand the effects of other energies but she’s mostly blocked those memories out of her mind.

She can still transform with minimal amounts of energy in her system, it is still a defense and survival mechanism built into her DNA, but it is extremely taxing, and just like an adrenaline rush it does eventually end upon Siana feeling safe. This type of transformation ends with Siana falling unconscious.

During lunar and solar eclipses, Siana is forced to transform into her colossal counterpart.

Personality:

Towards most:
Aggressive | Blunt | Brutish | Cautious | Cold | Distancing | Irritable | Rude | Short-fused |Territorial | Untrusting

When it comes to the people she’s allowed to be close enough to her she can be:
Caring | Curious | Kind | Loyal | Protective | Naive

Siana is also fearful. Although she tends not to show it she will more often than not be terrified of what others think of her and should they gain a spot within her inner circle, she tends to always be terrified of what she could accidentally do to someone.

She has several insecurities about herself and mental scarring from her past. The betrayals she’s felt and been through are one of the most prominent things in her memories.

Interests:
Although she may not seem smart right off the bat, for several reasons, Siana enjoys learning about things and reading. She also enjoys the company of small furred animals, she finds it rather calming when she pets them and they accept her.

Siana finds herself interested in action and adventure films but isn't a big fan of Japanese Kaiju / giant monster films.

Mannerisms / Quirks:
Siana tends to snarl alot.

She also shuts herself down and off very easily when debating or arguing.

She doesn’t like to be wrong.

She has a tendency to huff and growl.

Siana is almost constantly snacking on something or eating.

She has an accent.

Her English is a little broken

Born on a secluded island that is part of a belt of several small tribal islands residing right in the middle of the Pacific ocean Siana grew up with only her father to watch after her. Her mother had been an archaeologist and anthropologist, Doctor Elena Lykis, who had been fascinated with this unique set of islands in the middle of the ocean.

Siana’s mother had made it her life's goal to learn about these people and their way of life. It took years for her to gain the funding and all the governmental approvals to go on and study these people but once she did, she had been ecstatic. Elena immediately set course for the islands with an extremely small team of two others.

The natives hadn’t been accepting of their arrival, ‘The Outsiders’ as they liked to call them.

It had been rough to start but as both parties learned more from the other, both sides eventually came to the conclusion that there was not threat. The Outsiders had been accepted for the most part and slowly, the curious minds grew to learn more about these lands and their people.

Elena never left the island where they had been accepted, she had visited the other isles for research purposes but she always came back. The two members of her team had come and gone several times, the reasons for their trips varying from personal to work related.

It was in the third year of her research where Elena met Gidkai, A man that was part of the tribe’s warrior clan. He was to wed soon, but hadn’t found a suitor. Like those fantastical, unrealistic moments in children’s fairy-tales, the two, quite literally, stumbled into each other. Elena had been studying some of the local flora and fauna when she was almost attacked by a local, highly venomous snake. Gidkai had helped her stay out of harm’s way, it was in that moment that the fairy-tale romance erupted between the two.

Spending enough time to have learned the language, way of life, customs and rituals of these people, Elena had been engulfed by their culture and was soon fully accepted by the people.

Gidkai and Elena married, starting a life together immediately after. Their first child was on the way and it was foretold that their son would grow to be one of the finest warriors to be gifted by the clan’s blessing.

In her studies Elena had learned that the warriors of the island had a genetic mutation that allowed them to achieve feats beyond those of any other human. It was a specific genome that was somehow tied into the geographical location of where they were. A mutation that dated back to the first humans to settle on that very island, a revolutionary discovery she had kept from her colleagues. Nature had its way, its reasons and Elena did not want to be the person to destroy that balance.

Their child arrived in the dead of night, beneath the eclipsing moon, a sign that the priests and elders were not fond of. ‘There will be darkness and death.’ was the last thing the couple heard before Elena went into labour. It had been a long and grueling process; strenuous on the woman without the aid of modern medicine. After sixteen hours of labour their child was born in the brisk morning. The prophecy had been wrong, Elena and Gidkai’s child was not a boy, but a girl, a small frail looking child that did not hold any signs of the great warrior they were expecting.

The elders named the child Siana and after taking in the beauty of her daughter Elena passed away.

The mother had been the foreseen death and Gidkai would suffer through the darkness. Everything about Siana had gone against what was known to these people. Members of the warrior clan never birthed daughters, the children never came at night, let alone under the darkness of an eclipsed moon, there had never been a death in the birth of a warrior clan member. The undefeated, brave, leader was given an ultimatum; to remove the child from the island or to go into exile with her.

The rules were strict and Gidkai would not allow his daughter to be left to the animals. No tribesman or woman would be allowed to see them again. Gidkai’s title would be taken from him and they were to live a solitary life away from the tribe, strictly left to fend for themselves. Neither was allowed to step foot on the island.

After burying Elena the man and his infant daughter disappeared.

Gidkai had built a home for them on a small, luscious island, far enough away that the others wouldn’t be able to see them or hear them, they would be easy to forget. It was on this small piece of land that he would raise his daughter, teach her the ways of their former people, how to hunt, survive and how to fight. He would teach her about what she was capable of and Siana would learn, through several failures.

Upon maturation, roughly by the age of fifteen; for the first time, Siana would get a chance to see and meet a member of the tribe. An elder priest stepped upon their forbidden shore. The two human inhabitants keeping their distance so not to break any rules.

There had been a warning for the eclipsed child. Siana was simply told to choose wisely before her destiny was sealed. Neither father nor daughter could make sense of this prophecy and over time, their confusion, worries and fear grew. They had yet to find an answer to the cryptic statement, and Siana knew that it was driving her father mad. He had grown cautious of everything, he kept close to her and he made sure that she always made the right choice.

It was on Siana’s seventeenth birthday that her life would change forever.

The day started off normal, she awoke and had breakfast with her father, they trained then hunted. In the evening after their mid-day rest he approached her with a gift. Gidkai had crafted her a bracelet. A finely braided piece with small shells and rocks. Tied within the design was a ring her mother always wore, it had been a gift from Siana's grandmother, Elena’s mother.

Thankful for what she was given and the importance it held as the only thing she had from her mother, Siana stored it away in her room. She hadn’t wanted to dirty it before the days work was over. Her father had told her no more work would be done and that it was time to celebrate her coming into womanhood. They drank together and sang, eventually settling to watch the sun fade into the horizon.

The explosion came in the middle of the night. Something large had collided with the calm surface of the water. It sent a torrent down upon their hut, like a tropical storm. Both startled awake. Gidkai attempted to convince Siana to move further inland, to remain hidden within the trees, she argued but he did not allow her to do anything as he armed himself. Screaming at her to run she yelled back with tears in her eyes until her father forced her to retreat. Siana knew there was no point in arguing, she had seen the rage in his eyes. Doing as she was told she ran.

Loud terrifying noises came from the sky, but she could not see anything. Another explosion followed, the entirety of the island trembling. She could hear her father’s aggressive roars, his war cries and battle calls. Siana continued to run. The next explosion was followed by bright, blinding fire, it was enough to send her crashing to the ground. Her heart raced as fear began to crawl across every part of her being.

The memory of her first transformation is a blur but over the years Siana has managed to compile an idea of what it must’ve been like using the knowledge of her later changes. She can remember the pain vividly. She can also recall instances that took place on that fateful night. Something colliding into her form, destroying several of the metal birds, being shot at. Her father’s corpse sprawled on the sand, holes throughout his whole body, blood...there had been so much blood that the sand was stained red. Siana can recall taking his corpse to the tribe, her mother had been buried there, all their terrified faces staring up at her...the monstrosity she had somehow become. She had left them, not wanting to gaze or feel such fear.

Her most recent memories are distant, dark and blocked off. The pain of those memories is still there, but Siana avoids lingering on those thoughts, the possibility of spiraling down into that darkness terrifies her.

She currently resides on the outskirts of Latro. On a rather large, secluded private property. It is densely forested with a decent sized cabin resting atop a cliff.

Extra:
She has a serial code tattooed across the upper side of her right rib-cage. It reads OUS - 016 - ET.

There is a skunk that lives on the property that tends to follow her around. Siana calls him Terrance.

She still wears the bracelet her father made for her. It helps her stay calm and maintain control of herself.

How they feel about Monsters:
From the moment Richard learned about monsters and otherworldly creatures he became fascinated. He does not hate them. If anything he wishes to learn more about them.

Skills / Powers / Weaknesses:
  • Scientist specializing in genetics and biology
  • Certified chef
  • Linguist
  • Adept knowledge of medicine (specifically treating wounds)
  • Adept understanding of technology
  • Intermediate knowledge of psychology (still learning)
  • Fast learner

Personality:
Attentive | Calm | Caring | Curious | Fatherly | Helpful | Knowledgeable | Patient | Understanding

Interests:
One of the things Richard enjoys the most is cooking. He is also a nature lover, and enjoys everything the world holds and has to offer, that being said, he is obviously not much of a city dweller, thus he prefers living out in the country as some may refer to it. Amongst good food, lush forest’s, gushing rivers and beautiful mountains Richard also enjoys reading, escaping reality for however long it may be; accompanied by good music and the occasional drink. He loves helping others when he can and despite his disability, he does whatever he is capable of when lending a hand

Mannerisms / Quirks:
Richard furrows his brows a lot when he talks.

He usually clears his throat before getting serious or as a reminder that he is present and can possibly help with whatever situation may be before him.

Richard prefers not to argue.

He scratches his beard when he’s thinking.

When he’s cooking he hums to himself.

When Richard is confident in what he’s about to say or a task he’s about to engage in he’ll adjust his glasses.

Richard was born just outside Melbourne, Australia. It was from a young age that he was interested in science and nature. His life being rather average in the outback, exploring around, looking for creatures and learning about animals. Upon graduation from high school, Richard chose science, biology and eventually genetics. He had become well known in his field throughout school, an exemplary student. This garnered the attention of other members in the science community and when it was time to gain his Ph.D, Richard was given a vast amount of opportunities to choose from. The nature lover and explorer in him couldn’t deny the offer of one ‘Dr. Elena Lykis’. She was planning an expedition into uncharted land and the Australian man was beyond excited to step foot into a practically unknown world. He took the offer and they were on their way.

Richard learned a lot on the islands, he discovered a lot as well and when he was confident that he could write a killer paper and get his title he was off. After the island expedition Richard was given his Ph. D and from there it was time to step into the real world. He passed through several jobs and between all those he had taken a break within which he briefly pursued his love for cooking, becoming a chef and learning an array of languages with it.

Returning to the science world Richard soon discovered that there was so much more to this world than he had thought. He found himself working for a privately owned facility that specialized in ‘Unique Subjects’ as they liked to call them. The scientist within him was awestruck. Most, if not all the subjects in this facility defied everything he was taught, shape-changers akin to fantasy stories, hybrids that belonged in science fiction, people with abilities that were right out of a comic book. He was eager to study and learn how exactly they all ticked.

Richard was quick to disagree with how this place was managed. They forced these people into situations that no one would want to be put in. They angered them, hurt them, tested them; all in the name of science. It seemed more like torture to him. Despite his dislike towards how these beings were treated he kept the job, trying his best to change the facility’s approach. Richard hadn’t been very successful. Things only got worse.

Richard didn’t have the clearance required to work with the ET’s, the facility’s term for ‘Extreme Threats’ those were the subjects that got it the worst. Always pushed to the limit. A caged animal can only take so much. He had been briefed on them and was occasionally lucky enough to serve them their daily meals. His scientific knowledge and skill in the kitchen helped with preparing the proper meals for each individual, dietary restrictions and nutritional value were important to keep all the subjects healthy, physically at least.

On one of the days that he was preparing to serve lunch there had been a code-red. One of the ET’s had attacked their handler and prepared to go on a rampage. She was subdued only momentarily before chaos erupted. Richard had been dangerously close to the cell as he watched with every fiber of his being as a woman changed into a monstrosity of colossal proportions. Everything around them crumbled, nothing seemed capable of containing this monster. Richard ran, survival kicking in and telling him that he needed to escape or he would perish. The giant, that was reminiscent of a creature from a godzilla movie, destroyed everything in her path. She cared for no life, only for death, the facility flooded with blood and debris.

The event had been so intense that Richard couldn’t recall how he had gotten where he was when he came to. The first thing to register upon opening his eyes was pain, immense, crushing pain. He screamed and tried to move but it was to no avail. Looking around he found himself within a different sector of the facility, emergency lights blinking and a woman laying on the floor just passed his reach. She was breathing and covered in a lab coat. Turning around he let out another scream, the pain ripping up his spine just from the small action. A large portion of his bottom half was crushed beneath steel beams and concrete chunks. Unable to handle the pain he blacked out again.

The sound of a language he hadn’t heard for years was what brought him to the second time. He muttered the name of Doctor Elena Lykis, hazed eyes opening for just a moment as he looked up to see a woman that held familiar features, assuming it was simply a lucid dream he let himself collapse again.

The history of the woman that he had saved, which in turn saved him, had been shocking to say the least. People say it’s a small world but this coincidence felt unnatural. There was much to learn and together the two did so. They still don’t know everything there is to know about what any of this could’ve been about, but slowly, Richard and Siana, Elena’s daughter, are making progress.

The decision to buy a piece of land just outside of Latro was Richard’s. He had heard that the city was a more ‘neutral’ territory when it came to monsters, and thus Eden was born. He created this place in hopes of being able to help others like Siana, not by force or torture. Richard allows for people to come and go as they please, although there are rules and certain behaviours that are not tolerated, so far he has managed to keep things in control, with Siana’s help.

Richard likes to consider Eden a safe haven where people can come to learn more about themselves if they wish, or to simply be surrounded by no judgement and a comfortable environment.
