Expressions and idioms, oh my!

Expressions can be a lot of fun, especially when you hear one that conjures up a great mental image or is incredibly accurate. One of my favorites is "It's hotter than a two-dollar pistol".

What are some of yours?

my grandfather had a few colourful ones

'stuck like snot to a screen door'

'off like a bride's brazier'

and my dad uses this one when we leave on a trip

'off like a herd of turtles'

Mountains out of molehills is something I say a lot.
 
One of my favourite Expressions to use while in a game defeating waves of enemies; "Yeah, like fish in a barrel!"
 
I say quite often "look on the bright side" and "the glass is half full". Which is strange because I'm not typically an optimistic person, but I like those.
 
"I'm sweating like a pig in a wig" bc thats a mood

My favorite expression from my mom is "She looked like a horse with a barn built around it". She said it out of anger and I will never let her forget it. None of us really knows what it means. xD

And my personal favorite...Does a bear shit in the woods?
 
"Stop using expressions, no one understands you." is one I hear a lot. I think it sounds nice. Only my second favorite, though.
