Welcome to the Group RP Signups forum! This is where you post your main signup/Out of Character threads for your group roleplays. Only one Signup/OOC thread per roleplay is allowed, but you can post as many extra threads as you want in Roleplay Extras.

If your roleplay contains smutty sexual content, please post it in the Redstar Group Connections (if you are 18+) or Bluestar Group Connections (if you are 17 or under) instead. You can also post your roleplays there if you wish to only play with your own age group; these sections are age-locked to only be visible to members of the appropriate group. Roleplaying sexual content with members outside of your age group is not allowed. If you get caught circumventing these rules by playing in PM or lying about your age, you will get banned!

For info on why we have these sections, please see this Resource. For more info on our NSFW content policies, go here.

If you want to advertise your roleplay, find a group, or plot with other players, check out Group Brainstorming & RP Search.

If you are looking for one-on-one roleplays, see Partner Connections.

All threads in this forum are archived after 60 days from the last post in either the OOC or corresponding In Character thread. If you need a thread revived, you can use the Thread Moderation Request form to ask a mod to bring it back. You can also use this form to request deletion of a post or locking/unlocking a thread.

Threads by inactive, banned, or deleted members are also archived. If a thread owner's account goes inactive/banned or they self-delete, you cannot revive their roleplay or use their unique concepts/materials without permission.

PREFIXES
Thread prefixes are colorful tags displayed at the beginning of a thread title. They can be chosen when creating a thread and more than one can be applied. These prefixes show what a thread is for. You can also click on them from the thread listing to display all the threads with that prefix within that forum. Each section has its own prefixes, so make sure to check the info sticky to make sure you're picking the right prefixes and to learn what they mean!

ALWAYS OPEN
Always open means exactly what it says: your roleplay is always open for new players! This does NOT mean the thread won't be archived for inactivity.

OPEN SIGNUPS
This prefix lets people know that your roleplay is currently accepting new players.

CLOSED SIGNUPS
This prefix just lets people know that your roleplay is currently NOT accepting new players. Changing the prefix between OPEN and CLOSED (which can be done from within the thread) is a good way to avoid unwanted inquiries and help grab attention.

BY INVITATION ONLY
This means that the roleplay is a private roleplay and not open to the public. Do not post without an invitation.

TAGS
Tags can be added to threads and used to help find and filter threads related to certain genres, themes, and more. You'll find the Tags line right under the text box when creating a thread. Existing threads can also be tagged; just above the first post you should see a line that starts with "Tags:" and has an edit button you can press.

You can find the full list of available content tags in this Resource, or ask for a new tag to be added in this thread in the Help Desk.

RESOURCES
Iwaku has a ton of useful resources to help improve your search threads or make your roleplaying life easier. They're always worth a look at the very least!

There are a variety of useful guides in the Roleplay Skillbuilding area of our Creative Content section. You can check Roleplay Help for when you've got questions and can't find a good answer elsewhere.

If you want to generate a lot of hype, complicated BBCode can help grab attention. If you're not well-versed on using tricky codes, reach out to the BBCode Help thread for assistance and check the Coding Lab for tutorials.

If you like to use fancy colors but you're worried about how they might look on the different color backgrounds Iwaku offers, then look no further than Holmishire's Colour Guide for help in selecting shades that won't burn anyone's eyes.
