Rosa only returned Rory’s look with a blank stare, her head tilted slightly which caused her hair to spill across her shoulder as she awaited his answer. The sigh that tumbled from his lips was enough to threaten to put a smirk upon her lips. It was true that his lack of style irritated her, but she found it amusing to wind the red-head up in this manner. It was a wonderful bonus to making sure he looked good. His comment however, failed to garner a reaction other than a raising of her brow. As far as Rosa was concerned, you don’t wear white to someone else’s wedding so the comment itself didn’t make sense.

Rolling her eyes once the head of the newspaper was gone, Rosa folded her arms against her torso with a soft exhale. As much as her interruption was to move Wallace away from the previous topic, it was also to keep the two of them away from each other. Not that she could explain why she felt the need to interrupt. The excuse of interrupting to keep Wallace in the dark was good enough for her for now at least. She broke out of her thoughts at Wallace’s words, turning a dulled gaze towards him as she nodded, “Of course. I will speak to you later.”. Rosa’s gaze followed him for a moment, her free hand twisting the ring settled upon her finger as she thought about what he wanted to tell her.

Once he was out of sight enough, her amber gaze began to flicker around the room, only lingering on each person briefly till she found a familiar head of raven hair. Alistair. Now alone, Rosa’s lips freely lifted into a sly grin, her amber orbs brightening in amusement as she watched the brownies and drink began to take effect. A soft chuckle tumbled from her lips before she could stop it, a delicate hand pressing against them as she shook her head. When Alistair kissed Persephone Gaunt of all people, Rosa smirked. This was interesting enough – even more so when they left together! With a final, quiet snicker of laughter, Rosa headed back to one of the empty loveseats, dropping herself into it carefully before folding one leg over the other as her free arm propped up her head. For now, Rosa would keep watching and see what other interesting things would take place that the newspaper club could prey upon.

{ Alistair & Persephone }
Percy didn’t quite understand what led Alistair kissing her but the kiss left her mind in a haze. Her emotions swelled in the rapid change of her heart rate. A few moments passed on and Percy began to return the feverish kiss. At lips parting Alistair’s words were spoken in an inviting whisper—luring the girl in. She was almost like a moth caught to the fatal attraction of a flame.

They made for the doors. Down the stairs they went in a confusing drugged and drunken haze, finally ending up in front of the door to the Prefects’ Bathroom. Alistair led Percy inside by the hand, then locked the door behind them. Pushing her against the wall, he gave her another deep kiss. He was completely lost to sensation now. As if his brain had turned itself off for the night. Suddenly, his reputation mattered to him no longer. He had thrown all his cares to the wind.

Percy took full acceptance over the dominance Alistair possessed at the moment they entered the bathroom. Her back pressed against the cool marble wall that made shivers run up her spine—a sensation welcomed in pairing to the searing nature of the kisses shared. A pair of small porcelain hands held his shirt as the kiss continued to deepen. At their parting, a small trail of saliva connected them but still more was to come between the unlikely pair.

For at that moment they found a comfort in one another's embrace—each within their own reasons, though not completely the same thought in mind.

Half an hour later, Alistair found himself bent over the floor, panting. The sobering realization that he had just cheated on his fiance hit him with full impact. Suddenly, he felt wide awake, as if someone had just poured cold water over his face.

This was a mistake.

Laying flat against the ground beneath him Percy watched him very closely. She knew better to than to say anything—the way he acted confirmed that. His movements finally gave her a chance to sit upward which was greeted by a dull pain that lingered from their activities. A small gasp passed her lips in response to the pain but she tried to keep herself quiet—no longer wishing to cause any further upset to Alistair by it.

Alistair didn’t notice a thing. There was a painful throbbing in his head as he pushed himself up. Hastily, he grabbed his clothes and underthings and put them on. All the while, he spared Percy not a single glance. He did not know what to say to her either, so he simply left the room, eager to head back to the dormitories and finally put an end to this long, long night.

Meanwhile, Percy’s small hands began to pluck up the pieces of her clothes and quietly dressed when Alistair had finally left the Prefect Bathroom. Persephone’s tears flowed freely once more hugging her body as she leant forward fully dressed. She knew this had to be the end to whatever their relationship ever was now and it caused her heart to ache bitterly. It was freezing cold against the stone. Her aching heart slowed as she weakly pulled herself to her feet with a wobble. It was a quick effort to clean up any mess made—she wanted to make sure any trace of them being there together had been erased.

Before leaving she smoothed out the fabric of her clothes then stared at herself in the mirror. Percy cursed her appearance, from the tear-stained cheeks to the number of visible love-bites against her collarbone and neck. It was a reminder of what had happened between her and Alistair—a mistake made by Percy to go along with. After all, what kind of a friend was she to have slept with her friend’s fiance. Finally, it was time to walk back to the girl’s dorms room—something that made the girl think of a prisoner’s final walk to the execution block. It wasn’t as if she was to die, but oh how she wished she was dead at that moment.

Struggling towards her room she avoided any and all wandering eyes. She was quick to toss her clothes to the side and change into a fresh warm set of bedclothes. It was a relief to hit the bed and she wondered if she had to do anything the next day. The option of hiding away under her bed covers away from lingering eyes and the very presence of Alistair Blackbourne seemed the only comfort to her.

Echo smiled gently at Rory and slide her hand into his, "A dance would be lovely since no one else has asked me." She let Rory lead her out a little ways from the group. They danced together keeping a respectable distance between them. Echo was having a rather pleasant time with Rory. She considered the muggleborn a friend and he helped distract her from the things that Alistair did or things that Percy did without realizing she was doing. Her other friends kept her mostly sane from the events through the years. When they spun around her eyes locked with Alistair's in a secluded corner with Percy her eyes filled with pleading hoping he wouldn't do what he was about to. That is when she watched her fiance and best friend lock lips. She felt a shattering within her chest. She stopped dancing and lowered her head as she heard the Room of Requirement doors close. "Please excuse me Rory. As I no longer feel up to dancing." Her voice was quiet and low to mask her voice. She felt a tear slip down her cheek before she turned and left the room shoving the doors open and running straight to the Slytherin dorms.
She moved as quickly as she could to get there, her shoes leaving loud clacking against the floor. She descended down into the dungeon and arrived to the entrance of the common room. Quietly she whispered the password quickly and the door swung open and she ran to her room quickly ignoring the stairs of her fellow house mates who didn't get invited to the party in the Room of Requirement. The moment she reached her room she opened the door and went straight to her bed. She sat on her bed crying as she removed her shoes that she wore. She made quick work of the pretty dress she wore and slipped into a nightgown her mother had given her last Yule. The pale green silk hung off her body. She unstrapped her wand from her leg and pointed it at her hair which fell down her back in loose ringlet curls.
Echo let the tears freely stream down her face but she held back the sobs that were threatening to escape her. She made her way to the shared bathroom and scrubbed her face clean before going back to her room. She climbed into her bed and waved her wand taking the light from the room, She pulled the blankets over her head and finally let the sobs out of her as she buried her head into her pillow letting out all her feelings out into the pillow. After letting out her ugly sobs; she sniffled and then she heard the door to her shared room open. A few stray tears made their way down her face as she knew it was Percy returning from her time with Echo's fiance. She was deeply hurt by the actions of her friends, she tried her best not to cry again.

{ Deborah & Morrigan}

It seemed that Piper was too caught up over losing the toad to pay much attention to her surroundings. Tears streamed down the girl’s face as she struggled to push herself back to her feet, mumbling something incomprehensible. Debbie simply patted the girl on the back, not quite sure what to say to make her feel better.

Luck didn’t seem to be on their side at this moment, for just then Debbie realized that Piper’s puffskein had also gone missing. She deliberated whether or not to tell the girl about it now. It didn’t seem like the right time, but Piper needed to know.

Belatedly, as though just realizing she had knocked Morrigan off her seat, Piper began apologizing profusely. The situation grew more awkward with each passing second as neither of the two girls offered to help the Slytherin up to her feet.

And thus it became apparent that the evening would never cease to bring displeasure to Morrigan Quinn. Peaceful interaction with her angry black cat which trashed around and hissed came with an interruption and the means to a possible concussion. A quiet curse came out of the dark haired girl’s lips when she made an effort to get up. She was now the topic of humiliation thanks to the state of her attire. A shower of food and drink had just soiled her black clothing.

There, Morrigan Quinn now stood seething in anger with a hand against her wand’s holster. A tempting thought ran through the young woman’s head: a bundle of spells and hexes she wished to use to teach the bumbling idiots a lesson. Of course, she would have also preferred Juniper’s presence to indulge in such pleasures.

“Right, do you have anything to say for yourselves?” Morrigan asked, glaring towards the two girls who were rather pre-occupied.

Debbie could tell that Morrigan was clearly pissed over this turn of events. She gave the girl her best smile, though nerves got the better of her as she spoke, “It-it was an accident. Right, Piper?”

She glanced towards the other girl for affirmation before continuing, “She was… chasing after a pet toad. Piper is really sorry as you can see.”

A sadistic smile tugged at Morrigan’s lips upon the inspection of Debbie’s demeanour, moreover, the faux-smile amused her to no end since the girl’s quivering words were more honest about her present emotions. “I don’t seem to remember hearing Piper speak, you see… It’s rather hard to listen when your head is knocked against cobblestone.” Morrigan spoke snobbishly of the present condition of the teary-eyed girl before her. It was a weakness and she hated when it was before her.

Sounds like you need a trip to St. Mungo’s then, or a Q-tip, Debbie thought to herself, though she dared not speak the words. Though Morrigan annoyed her, fear kept her mouth shut.

“I’ll offer my services to take care of the precious little toad,” Morrigan promised in a devilish tone of voice, her eyes appearing far from genuine and well-meaning.

Entrusting Morrigan to take care of anything clearly only meant more trouble. Debbie kept the smile fixed on her face as she replied, as calmly as possible:

“Thanks, but that won’t be necessary. Anyway, it looks like our friend’s here, so we’ll be going our way now.”

Without wasting a single second, Debbie gave Piper a meaningful glance and headed towards Laurie. The redhead immediately picked up that something was wrong, but Debbie simply shook her head in response. As she looked at the girl, however, she realized something familiar perched upon Laurie’s head. Rowan!

“Pip, look!” Debbie cried out, wide-eyed, as she nudged her friend against the shoulder. “It’s Rowan! Jeez, we thought we had lost him forever. Where’d you find him, Laurie?”

Meanwhile, Morrigan stared, watching the pair meet another girl. Her brow cocked as she observed them from a distance then thought about calling it a night for herself. It just seemed fitting to leave Rory cleaning up the mess. So with that, she made her exit.

Playing Style- Passive or Aggressive
I can switch back and forth between passive and aggressive play style. I used to be really aggressive, but these days I'm really tired most the time or busy. I just don't have the energy to be as aggressive these days, so I like finding partners who I can lean on for creative input when I can't provide.
Favorite Genres
I don't have a favorite genre. I can role-play under any genre and I enjoy doing so. Though, I tend to stray more towards Fantasy, Modern, Scifi, Drama, Magical, Supernatural, and Romance (Yaoi/Hetero/Yuri).
Genre You DON'T Like
My least favorites are horror, historical, and western.
Effie’s small head leaned into the griffindor’s gentle hands. If he wasn’t one to deny such affections from trusted friends, infact she welcomed them greatly. The touch often reminding her of her own mothers care, though sometimes it would be like her Nana, her father, and sometimes her older brother Kenneth. It really just depended on the hand. “Hm? Oh! Y-yes. I am not sure why though. I probably would have left just now since my escort was surrounded just shortly after I arrived.” The young girl have to twinge of annoyance and her voice as she spoke of Alistair. I like this girl she was not in the business of embarrassing herself to keep the boys attention if Alastair wanted to remain friends then he would have to put in the effort to. Simple as that. Effie’s dark green orbs blinked finally noticing the other two girls departure. She looked at Sang expectantly and with out surprise, and smiled warmly at receiving an inviting embrace from Sang.

“It’s my two favorite Carrot Tops.....”

Her brothers timing was marvelous. At least Wallace and Sang were here to keep her company, and to make her feel safe among a sea of mostly strangers. She couldn’t help but chuckle at their light bantering.

“My self? Whatever do you mean Carrot Top? I am just a dumb ass, so you might have to tell it to me straight.” Wallace retorts.

Effie giggles at her brother’s lame attempt at playing he part Sanguine so effortlessly thrusted upon him. He even pretends to look around as if in search for what she could possibly be referring too. Then a very loud grumble seemed to emit from her brother, and his face flushed in his own embarrassment. Such a rare sight for people who didn’t live with her brother, to Effie though it was just another side of her brother she grew up with. Though that didn’t stop her from looking at him concerned and worried.

“Brother did you skip your meals again??” She asked, almost a accusing and chiding tone to her voice, much like their own mother had used on them so many times before. The look of shame on his face was a clear indication that he hadn’t. Effie gave him a disapproving look. “Wallieeee.” She whined.

“I know I know. Hey, since this party obviously blows, why don’t we walk you back to your house chambers. Since I obviously couldn’t get any studying done tonight I can make a quick stop by the kitchens and ask if one of the nice house elves will make me something, hm?”

Effie thought on his proposal for a moment and then nodded silently. She was quite content with the idea, a small yawn escaping off her lips as well. The social gathering had really drained a lot of the energy she had, and she could feel the exhaustion creeping up on her. How late was it anyways? Taking Sang by the arm Effie tugged her in the direction of the door, while Wallace followed behind them.

HEAD BOY AND GIRL: DRUNK IN LOVE?

Last night's party was nothing short of eventful. Seems like everyone had some steam to blow off, what with all the drinks and the drugs going around.

Alistair, most of all, seemed to be having the time of his life. Though he arrived at the party with Effie Campbell, he was spotted leaving with a different girl!

"I saw Alistair [Blackbourne] and Percy [Gaunt] leave the party together. I doubt they were up to anything good," remarked a prime witness. "They were making out before that. I can only imagine how Echo [Sayre] feels about this."

Echo is arranged to be married to Alistair, though whether or not the engagement will remain in place after the events of last night is unknown. Nobody can confirm if Percy and Alistair did more than just kiss, but the implications are very clear.

"It's not like Echo was innocent herself. I mean, I saw her eyeing that other bloke. I think his name's Rory," the witness continued.
A pureblood has her eyes on Rory Thomson, a muggleborn? Scandalous indeed!

Regardless, the incident also confirms people's fears that Alistair and Percy are working together in service of the Dark Lord. Two powerful Purebloods joining forces... what a truly fearsome prospect for all half-breeds and muggleborns.

Speaking of muggleborns, did you know that calling someone a 'mudblood' is considered racist? This is something that Pedro Giovanni might want to keep in mind, if Joan's fist didn't already drive the message home to his head. Poor Lauren Harrison for having to suffer all that abuse. The girl had quite a rough night, especially after Henry Chen passed out as soon as she gave him a kiss! Lauren must be that awful at kissing to cause such a reaction.

In other news, Anastasia "Annie" Fitzgerald (My oh my, our newly-appointed Heads sure have a knack for trouble) was seen leaving the party with an intoxicated fifteen year old boy by the name of Leontios Castellanos. Both were spotted heading to the Ladies' Room together. Things sure are starting to get hot and heavy here in Hogwarts. What would Annie's friend Debbie say? Shouldn't a Head Girl act more responsibly than this, especially after stealing the spot from her friend? Starting to think Debbie should have been appointed Head Girl instead, Annie.

CHAPTER II.
THE MORNING AFTER

Saturday, September 6, 1975
Starting Point: 7:30 AM. Dormitories or breakfast in the Great Hall.

With dawn came the sobering realization of last night's many blunders. Happily, the weekend has begun, which meant everyone can at least suffer through their embarrassment and crippling hangovers in peace.

It is a lovely day after all. There's not a cloud in sight and the sun is shining brightly through the castle windows. It seems like the perfect end to a long and dreary week—a chance to unwind and explore the castle grounds.

Unfortunately, however, the leader of the newspaper club has other plans for his fellow classmates. He and his henchmen were hard at work the previous night, so that the newspapers will be piled up and ready for reading as soon as breakfast is held at the Great Hall.

Friendships will be torn apart, masks will be broken. It is only a matter of time.

Persephone Gormlaith-Avalon Gaunt

The morning started somewhat early for Persephone, after the events of the night before she truly wished to avoid her roommate like the plague.

Dressing in the bathroom she consisted of a completely black attire— everything except the Slytherin scarf she was wearing. The turtleneck she wore didn't quite cover all the marks left from the night before, thus she wore the scarf.

That was a night Percy wished she'd soon forget—little did she know what ruckus it would cause that morning.

She took the stairs rather slowly when it finally came to leaving the dormitories and venturing towards the Great Hall for breakfast. Her hips ached uncomfortably— another reminder of that night, she cursed to herself silently before arriving at the Great Hall.

Her entrance was silent and quick; it was clear that she didn't want to be seen or noticed by many. Quick to spot the familiar face and notably red hair of Wallace Campbell from a distance. Percy settled herself down into the bench-seat directly across from the second Campbell child observing the fact he was taking notes for one of his classes so early in the morning.

"How's the study going?" Persephone asked in a hoarse voice that seemed roughened from her crying the night before. Her gaze held a genuine amount of interest in what Wallace was doing. She tried to be the good person that felt fully invested in her friends in moments like these— pushing all her pain and disturbances away.

Percy had been mentally building a wall throughout the night and her goal was to close off those one-sided feelings that were abused the night before by Alistair. It had become clear to her through his reaction that she happened to be a pawn at the moment. When she thought about the events of the night before, she felt a numbness consume her. It had been enough to distract her from Wallace and look around the already busy Great Hall.

Percy's gaze finally fell upon the stack of freshly printed newspapers and something in her sunk into a dark depth. Her hands quivered in fear at the thought that she had been caught with Alistair— it was more than possible with the number of newspaper club members that were present, she thought as she nibbled nervously at her bottom lip. One skim over the front page confirmed her worst nightmare.

At that moment colour happened to drain from Persephone Gaunt's face, and her hold on the paper seemed to loosen. She couldn't even register the sound of the paper falling to the ground in front of her because of the shock.

Piper woke with a soft groan, her hand fluttering up to her aching head, her eyes aching and puffy from all the crying she'd done the night before. What a horrible night, that would be the last time she ever went to a party! Thinking about the whole thing made her head hurt more. Especially the parts after looking up to find Rowan sitting happily on Lauren's head, as if his whole escape episode hadn't happened, as if he hadn't left her with one of the most terrifying girls in school, lying on the ground with stains on her clothes and completely furious, all because of Piper. He was lucky he was cute. Really, everything after her finally realising Rowan was safe was a complete blur...

How she'd gotten to her bed...she didn't know, probably thanks to Deborah and Lauren. She sighed softly at her throbbing head as she pushed herself upright, her hand moving around to her hair so she could pull little Nibbles out and give him his breakfast. Very slowly, Piper's brows furrowed in confusion. Yes her hair was a mess, yes there was evidence of it once been occupied by a Puffskein. However, with growing horror, she realised he wasn't there...wasn't where he was every morning.

She jerked upright, blankets tumbling to the ground as she searched her pillows, the little pet sent to her as a gift...her most beloved of all her little creatures was...gone...completely gone, not a spec of bright fur in sight. "Oh no," she moaned, scrambling from her bed to check underneath it, then crawled to Lauren's, checking beneath for the small creature. She searched the whole room, her own discomfort forgotten. She couldn't finding him anywhere.

She couldn't stop the tightening of her chest, or the stinging in her eyes. More tears, as if she hadn't cried enough! She dropped down beside her bed and buried her face in her hands as she began crying in honest, her shoulders shaking, soft little sobs falling from her lips. She would no doubt wake everyone else in her room, but she couldn't help it. She'd lost him.

The strangest thing woke Pedro Giovanni that morning. Something tickled in his nostril causing him to stir awake. His sleep filled eyes twitched open to see a rather cheerful looking rainbow colourful Puffskein. He had no idea how the creature got into his room, or if it had tagged along with him the night before on his lonesome stroll back to the dorms.

But, one thing was clear to him... Pedro certainly didn't expect to be woken up by a Puffskien picking his nose in the early hours of the morning. It was nothing short of disturbing, the boy thought to himself gently reaching out plucking the little fluff-ball off his chest. His grey eyes still dazed and distant from sleep, he stared and observed the little thing before popping it down at his side.

Pedro kicked his legs out of the bedcovers and over to the side. His bare feet was greeted by the chill of cool wooden floors. It sent a shiver up his spine just as much at the unwanted guest that was still in his bed. Megs, Pedro's ginger tabby cat eyed the Puffskien with curious and playful eyes lightly batting at the little ball of rainbow fluff.

"Megs don't do that! Jesus, you'll kill the little guy," Pedro commented scooping up the Puffskien protectively, casting his skinny feline companion a look. A sigh escaped him looking around at his empty dorm room—it was clearly apparent that everyone had left for breakfast without him. When Pedro decided to get ready he placed Nibbles on his luggage so that his playful familiar wouldn't try to turn him into a de-fuffed ball.

Finally dressed in a comfortable pair of slacks and a casual black shirt, Pedro strolled out the door with Nibbles perched on his shoulder. "Come on now, best be getting you back to your owner. She's possibly worried sick about you," he lectured the Puffskien shaking his head lightly. Piper Ryeland—he knew her from their club activities together, not too well, but well enough to remember the little fella on his shoulder.

  ALISTAIR BLACKBOURNE

A massive headache greeted Alistair that morning. Lifting up the covers, he pulled himself upright, one hand massaging a temple as he stared unseeingly into the distance. What happened last night?

A vague feeling of dread settled within him as he went about the day with his usual morning routine. Unbidden, the memories came back to him. The party. The drinks. His fiance. Percy on the floor of the bathroom.

He stopped buttoning his shirt. The face on the mirror gave him a disgusted look.

He told himself he had done nothing wrong. Percy had clearly wanted him for a long time now. He had only given her what she wanted. And even if he had crossed a line somehow, they were both too intoxicated to take any full responsibility over their actions. Echo ought to know this.

Annoyance came back to him in full force once again, drowning out whatever guilty thoughts he might have had. He remembered the self-congratulating face of the man whom Echo had managed to wrap around her finger. Of all people, why a mudblood? Didn't she understand that as purebloods, they had a reputation to keep, a title to uphold?

Once he was ready, he made his way to the Great Hall. It didn't take him long to notice the stares and whispers directed at him. News travels fast. The simple thought of it worsened his headache. Vaguely, he wondered if he'd have enough time later to brew a potion for his hangover. Though then again, perhaps that was the least of his worries. An angry Echo would certainly be waiting for him at the Great Hall.

The first thing he noticed upon arriving were the newspapers. They were everywhere, and he was unmistakably on the front page: "Head Boy and Girl: Drunk in Love?" The title was misleading, of course, but the gossip column had never been known for its accuracy. As he made his way to the Slytherin table, he could feel the eyes of his fellow students boring into his back. It was enough to put him on edge.

Before long, he reached his fiance. As he took those last few steps towards her, he mustered every bit of courage he could not to turn around and walk away.

"We need to talk."

Echo woke up earlier than her roommate about three hours before breakfast was to be served in the great hall. She, of course, had to go to the bathroom and she noticed that Percy was covered in small little bruises.... love bites. Quickly she relieved herself and returned to bed to get a few more hours of sleep. She curled under her blankets and fell asleep. She was awoken a short time later to her roommate leaving the room presumably to avoid her. Once she knew that Percy was out the room she made her way to her trunk and gathered up her clothes for the day. She picked a dark blue dress that was tailor-made for her body and a pair of opaque black tights and her black flats. She quickly dressed and headed towards the bathroom before preparing herself for the day. She went back to her room and grabbed her holster and wand and strapped them to her left leg. It was luckily still the weekend and she could still have some time to relax. She made her way up to the Great Hall and over to her table, she sat with a group of other Slytherin girl and nodded politely to them with a small smile.

She could hear the whispers from the other houses and she rolled her eyes as she began to serve herself some food. She laughed at some of the other girl’s comments quietly until one of them mentioned Percy’s odd attire for the day. Her eyes drifted up to where Percy was sitting and quickly a strike of anger went through her before she lowered her eyes back to her plate. She noticed that one of her companions had a copy of the school newspaper. She read the first page and rolled her eyes but it didn’t cause her any more distress than she already had. She took a bite of toast and eggs she had served herself when she could feel his presence before he could speak. She swallowed back her emotions before turning towards him, Alistair. His words caused the surge of emotions came back.

Oh? Whatever should we talk about Alistair?” Her voice was delicate but with a sharp edge to it. Her eyes seemed to look more electric blue than their normal oceanic blue. Her magic crackled a little around her. She was trying her best to keep her emotions in check so she wouldn’t have an outburst too much.

Deborah Johnson
SEVENTH YEAR RAVENCLAW
The castle grounds were a lot quieter than it normally was that morning, likely because a huge chunk of the school population was either hungover, exhausted, or still sound asleep in their bunk beds. Debbie, on the other hand, felt largely well-rested and energized.

In fact, she was in a relatively chipper mood. The weekend had arrived, which meant she could finally spend more time to herself. She could do some of that extra reading she had been itching to do, or dust off her broom for an hour or two of Quidditch. The weather seemed perfect for it.

It felt like nothing could ruin her day. The moment she arrived at the Great Hall, she proceeded her merry way to the Ravenclaw table, paying no mind to the newspapers being passed around.

And yet, in the end, she couldn't help it.

She had already seated herself and scooped up a heaping helping of breakfast when her eyes found themselves on the newspaper lying abandoned nearby. The headline piqued her interest. What sort of trouble had Annie gotten herself into?

Though the better part of her brain told her not to, she read the article as she ate. Eventually, the forkful of bacon that she had shoved into her mouth suddenly tasted unappetizing. Dropping her fork, she pushed her plate away and placed the newspaper back where she had found it.

He smelled cinnamon and roses. Funny - for his bed never smelled this way. Terrible - because it made him nauseous. Fumbling through his headache and drowsiness, Tasha's fingers were intertwined in a a silky river of blonde hair.

Ah.. Well, that's not mine.

"Morning." He groaned, and immediately winced from his croaked voice. The girl - whose name had escaped him - peeked at him through her long lashes. It occurred to him that the two may not have exchanged names at all.

Nice.. very nice manners, Tash.

"That's alright, love. You can go back to sleep." He whispered, and gently untangled their limbs. As she softly groaned into her pillow as thanks, Tasha made quick to gather his discarded belongings. It took him less than a minute for him to be out the door and into the hall.

"Rory, fucking, Thomsom." He sputtered, laughter spilling from his lips. Tasha would have found last night's scheme hilarious if weren't done for the sake of creating such trash. Tossing the paper across the table, he stabbed his fork into the yolk of his eggs benedict. It was a shame - Thomsom truly was gifted with the pen. He had read one of his short stories in first year, written prior to him joining the Newspaper Club. Now the type of shit he wrote bored him - it wasn't even worth reading past the headlines. Wasted talent, he thought.

Scanning the Great Hall, Tasha's eyes caught light and deepened the smoldering blue of his gaze. He had come straight from the Gryffindor dorm to grab himself some breakfast; therefore his attire was the same from the night before. It was nothing new - Tasha had always dressed indecent. But the styling of his hair and the absence of his glasses amplified his alluring presence. Smearing a bead of blood from the scratches on his arm, Tasha traced the scales of his dark tattoo in absent thought.

Wallace awoke the next day incredibly exhausted from the previous night's adventure. His neck felt stiff from Sanguine's feeding, and he couldn't help but rub at where it ached. There were no visable markings, Sang made sure to heal the wound before they went their separate ways last night. Not only that but he didn't eat very much yesterday, and nearly fainted from the blood loss. He sighed at the inconviencance it left him with, as he was planning on skipping breakfast to study in the library. Though with the state he was in he would have to liven himself up with some sustenance. Though he could at least take some notes while he ate couldn't he? He would just be a little distracted. The red headed boy was sure that the great hall was going to be in a fuss over today's newspaper. Slipping out of bed he heads into his shared bathroom and swiftly freshens up for the day. After pulling on his house uniform he exists his house common room with his belongings and heads straight to the great hall. He got there fairly early, people were just starting to file in, and he took a seat where he usually did at the Slytherin table. It's usually where him and Percy would sit together, sometimes Rosa and Effie joining them, or some other friend of his. Pulling out his book on ancient runes he preps his notes, and then grabs a small bowl of fruit to eat while he worked. Ever so often stopping to pick up a sliced fruit with his fork and popping it into his mouth. He liked the pineapple slices the most. While he didn't eat sweets, he would make an exception for sweet fruit. It was the only kind of desert he likes to partake in, and it was healthier too. Lost in his studying he didn't notice Percy walk into the great hall until she finally arrived at her seat. Her shuffling into her spot prompting him to look up from his book momentarily as she inquired about his studies.

"How's the study going?"

He remained silent for a moment as he carefully reviewed the other across from him. He managed to pick up on enough, the hoarse voice, the puffy eyes, the scarf. He also noticed the sincerity she held despite it all, and he decided to distract her from her worries, at least the best he could. Even if the notion that she had been used in some game the previous night made his blood boil. He hoped Alistair gets what he deserves. Still he remained calm, for her sake and for his own. Still he wished he could do more than just sit here watching her suffer. It was the least he could do for the girl as she's been by his side since his sorting ceremony. He felt completely useless in this situation. Taking a moment to clear his throat he says softly "It's going well. I asked the professor for my ancient runes class if they wouldn't mind giving me some of our assignments in advance. I'm trying to get ahead of the game, that way later in the year I can make more time for extracurricular activities. I was thinking of starting up a new club...." he trails off when he notices the blonde pick up the day's newspaper. "Percy you shouldn't-" he tries to stop her, but she had already read the front page's title.

With a quiet sigh the red headed slytherin wasn't sure what to do with the shocked Percy. Standing up he leans over the table and takes hold of her shoulder. "Percy? Everything will be fine ok? You should eat." He says as he withdraws his hand to grab another bowl of fruit and place it in front of her. He wasn't sure if the gesture would do much to settle her nerves, but it was all he could think of. Taking his seat again he scratches his neck while gazing out over the rest of the tables. Noticing Effie finally approach her table gave him an idea. "Why don't we go to hogsmeade this upcoming weekend and take your mind off things? Could just be us, or if you want Effie could come along, or another friend of yours..." he offers sheepishly. This is usually what he would do if Effie ever got too upset over something, he'd take her into town and just spend the day having fun. Besides they could use some real fun, not like the newspaper club's plot to make trash gossip pieces.

Jasper & Cyrus
Cyrus drew herself from bed that morning with a daring ambition to stir some trouble. Hurryingly dressing. Her routine started with the combing and braiding of her hair and finished with her slipping into a comfortable part of jeans and flannel shirt. In a quick pace she nipped out the door and down the stairs.

Jasper jumped down the last step into the Gryffindor common room, his hair dishevelled from sleep and clothes a rumpled mess. A quick tug at his clothes and a brush of his hands through his hair fixed that problem. He'd stayed up far too late the night before, doing a number of things he shouldn't have, he'd like to increase said list, this is...if his sister decided to show her face.

The youngest of the Grey siblings gave her brother a smirk, before stretching her arms out in front of her. Arm draping over her brother's shoulder with some effort. Damn when he have his last growth spurt? Was it overnight? Cyrus thought looking up at her older brother who had until recently been shorter than her. She had spent her entire life looking down at her older brother so now using her neck to look up hurt— her pride more than neck.

“So, how’s a game of cricket sounding this morning? I fancy a game, I think it’d be good fun to watch people with hangovers squirm.” Cyrus smiled devilishly looking towards her brother. They were two peas in a pod, though so different in personality. Rus was always happy to admit that too— she was loud and outspoken. Jas was more calculating but always up from some trouble. It was always their favourite pass time to play a game of cricket or prank some unfortunate housemate.

A slow smirk curved his lips as he looked down at his sister. “Finally decided to join the land of the living, little sister,” he said. He straightened up intentionally grinning wider at her, oh how he loves teasing his twin.

Cyrus let an inward groan left her lips at Jasper’s annoying jests. “Some of us just like the extra sleep, it’s been proven that a witch needs more sleep than a wizard. Thank you very much,” she defended herself remembering bad to a article she once read in the Wizarding Paper but in Australia. The paper was almost as informative as the infamous Grapevine, but she wasn’t about to tell her brother that.

“Well of course you do. How else would you possibly keep up us superior wizards,” he said in a teasing tone. He lifted his hand and messed up his sister's hair. “Now sis, I do believe we need to fix that aim of yours. Torturing our fellow students is simply an added bonus.” He freed himself from beneath her arm and gave her a push towards the exit.

“Ooooof!” Cyrus groaned at her brother’s burning insult. Rolling her copper brown eyes at his comment. “You’re such a dick in the morning— I hope you know that,” she said stumbling out the door. Listening to the Fat Lady’s failed attempts a opera singing upon her exit. That would be more painful to hear with a hangover, she thought with a scowling expression.

“My dickish charms are beloved by many, it's not my fault you're unable to appreciate it,” He said with a light laugh.

Upon entering the great hall Jasper scanned the gathered students, especially those who looked particularly horrible on this fine morning. He turned to his sister with mischief burning in his eyes. “Look at all these sorry saps,” he said in amusement. “It's time to cheer them all up with some good old cricket.”

Cyrus peaked around with her brother and cock a smirk. “I couldn’t agree more with you brother,” she chuckled evilly thinking of their devilish plans before skipping along to the Gryffindor table. Her hand catching a metal plater by the handle and flicking the food across the table. “Jas! I found a bat!” She cried out to her brother.

Jasper walked casually after Rus, his eyes catching sight of a bowl of fruit just as his sister announced that she'd found a bat. Glancing at said ‘bat’ made him grin in amusement as he scooped out an apple. “How convenient,” he said in a chipper tone as he turned to Cyrus. “Now sister, do try to hit,” he called as playfully, eyes dancing. Without any hesitation, he threw it right at her.

It was almost possible to hear Cyrus’s temper boil when her brother proceeded to tease her. Cyrus had always hated it, but pushing back her anger, she drew the service plater back with two hands and swung it into the apple. Connecting the metal with the apple and send the destroyed fruit flying in the direction of the Ravenclaw table. “Ha!” Cyrus poked her tongue out towards her brother.

Jasper laughed light, his sister was so easy to rial up at times. Though he could also at times. He let out a whistle as the apple soared off towards the Ravenclaw table, he was kind of hoping it would hit someone in the head. “Impressive, do it again,” he said, throwing another apple between his hand. He twisted, dramatically lifted his leg as his arm swung, sending another apple her way.

It was the second hit for Cyrus which happened to go flying over her brothers head and hit someone at the doorway. “Oh fuck!” she exclaimed with her face grow as white as a bedsheet.

Jasper turned to see what had happened, who she had hit. He grimaced at the girl and quickly went to his sister, taking the tray from her and shoving it into the first set of hands he saw. Which happened to be Joan his sisters best friend. “Ah fuck,” he muttered under his breath. For that apple had hit Sanguine Faust, right in the face.

Elise had a restless night. It had taken her a couple hours to finally be claimed by sleep – though her dreams seemed to still taunt her with images of the recently discovered vampire. Multiple times she awoke, bleary eyed to stare at the opposing wall to her bed, brows furrowed as she tried to comprehend what happened. Though she questioned multiple times if she really wanted to. She was awoken by a sharp pain in her wrist when she turned, leaning her weight unto the crudely bandaged wound.

The surprise caused her to shoot up in her bed with a short gasp, her grey blue eyes flickering to her wrist. For a moment she had hoped it was all a dream but unfortunately it was not the case. Her expression twisted into one of turmoil as she questioned what she was supposed to do – report Oliver Whitefang? Instantly, the golden-blonde witch shook her head. Despite the situation she didn’t want to put him in a bad position and she was sure that not everyone would be okay with having a vampire in their midst. Her mind continued to work, despite the dull thud in her temples due to her prior intoxication, on what she should do about the situation as she stumbled to her feet to get ready.

A short while later she had pulled on her uniform and the Ravenclaw cloak before leaving her room and the common room to head towards the hall – her stomach had long since began protesting for food. Her attention was far from on her environment, lost in her confusion on how to approach Oliver, which had caused her to trip and barely catch herself before she fell face first onto the stone floor. Elise only released a short cry of pain before shaking her head and continuing her way after apologising profusely.

Reaching the hallway up to the Hall, Elise was forced to stop when she found herself just behind the person that plagued her thoughts. Momentarily, fear seemed to creep into her expression before she forced herself to calm down – her decision having been made. Stepping up quietly to the raven-haired half wizard – half vampire, Elise reached out and tapped him softly on the shoulder, a faint but polite smile on her features. “Could we talk…please?” She asked, dropping her hands to interlock them behind her back though fear kept her ready to grab her wand.

She just wanted answers.

Lauren was woken up by a stir caused in the room, her's and Piper's secret stash of animals behaving rather chaotically. The reasons as to why escaped the groggy girl for a moment or two. A small groan passed her lips when she moved to make an effort to rub her eyes. The sob of sobbing causing her to sit up too fast and send Rowan across the room into the door— who had been sleeping on her head until moments before.

A sad little croak came from the doorframe, but that didn't catch Laurie's attention like her sobbing roommate. "Pip? What's wrong?" The redhead asked slipping out of bed in her oversized t-shirt nightie and polka-dot socks. Tired eyes watched her friend as she soothing began to rub her back. "Are you looking for something? What's wrong?" The girl asked in a concerned tone still laced with sleep. She was terrified if something was the matter for her dear friend.

Surprisingly, the red-haired half vampire was in a pleasant mood. Her blood lust had been dealt with and she no longer dealt with the irritating burn in her throat – something that settled her mood a little and the prior evening she had worked on a new jewellery piece she hoped to start. This explained why she walked through the halls with a small grin on her face, forest green eyes settled ahead as she was heading to the great hall to eat. Of course, like most days, her happiness was bound to be crushed and replaced by her seemingly signature rage.

Stepping closer to the great hall, Sanguine easily noted the sound of many voices as her hearing picked it up. Curiously, she was tried to catch pieces here and there, but it was a cacophony of noise that was mostly lost to her. What she did hear however, was the sound of something banging off a tray? Or at least something like that she thought briefly. However, Sanguine did not expect that when she stepped into the great hall, said object – and apple- would hit her directly in the face.

Her breathing for a moment seemed to come to a pause as she shot out her hand to catch the falling apple as a dull ache developed at the top of her nose and forehead. Green eyes stared at the apple for a moment as all her previous joy drained from her person. Faintly, Sanguine reached up and pressed two fingers against the bridge of her nose, flinching back slightly before her grip intensified upon the apple. Slowly, her fingers broke its fragile skin and inside, crushing it in her grasp as her eyes shot up, searching.

"Joan fucking Lambert".

A snarl viciously tore itself from her lips as they pulled back, her teeth grit dangerously as she stormed over to the Gryffindor holding the tray. She clearly ignored the other’s friends – they were unimportant right now as she felt her rage swallow any semblance of control she kept. Hurriedly approaching the raven-haired witch, the apple was quickly thrown from her grip, now disfigured. Once Sanguine was a step before the witch, her fist shot out to punch Joan cleanly across the face, her eyes briefly a bloody red.

“You shitty princess! You are dead! ”

Joan Lambert
SEVENTH YEAR GRYFFINDOR
Joan had just arrived at the Gryffindor table, making her leisurely way towards her friends, when Jasper forced a tray into her hands for whatever reason. Joan hadn't been paying much attention to what was happening before that. All she was really thinking about was breakfast, and being a strictly 'fuck mornings' person meant she couldn't care less about anything else. She raised an eyebrow, a question forming at the tip of her tongue when an all-too-familiar high-pitched scream caught her attention.

"What... the... fuck?" Joan dropped the tray, backing away with an incredulous expression on her face. Suddenly, Sanguine was storming towards her in a murderous rage, snarling like some feral animal that had just escaped the jungle. In that split second between this and getting a fist to the face, Joan couldn't figure out what the heck the girl was getting so worked up over. Sanguine was known for her frequent bouts of anger, but this insanity was on another level. Even Joan, who also had her hotheaded moments, found it ridiculous.

"What the fu--" She repeated, holding up her hands in defense, but that wasn't enough to save her from the other girl's wrath. Sanguine's punch landed square on the face, hard enough for Joan to black out momentarily as she staggered backwards from the impact, before landing painfully against a neighboring table. Cutlery poked at her back. She groaned in pain as blood filled her mouth and trickled down from her lips. Eventually there was enough blood that she had no choice but to spit it out. A deafening silence suddenly fell around them as the people nearby turned to watch what was happening.

"You're fucking insane, you know that?" She managed to say, though not without cringing in pain. She put a hand to her swelling jaw, and then felt around for her left chin. No doubt it was fractured. She'd need a trip to the infirmary... and soon.

At the back of her mind, she thought about those red eyes. Had she been hallucinating?
