Simon Tanner

"Are you sure she's one of ours?" The voice broke through his concentration, dark brows furrowing into a pensive scowl but his bright blue gaze never drifted away from the fleeing redhead. It wouldn't be the first time he'd been questioned about his certainty of one of the fledglings, and Simon was positive it would not be the last. If he had learned anything in his past few centuries it was that even their kind fell prey to the same inquisitive habits of the humans. With all the time they had existed, he would have thought they learned a thing or two.

"I'm as sure as I was when I found you three hundred years ago, and that was before we had technology on our side." Simon replied patiently, finally turning his eyes away from the woman to address his companion. "Lucas switched her himself. He should be sitting here, but…." He didn't need to go into details about their fallen comrade, nor did he wish to. The loss was still fresh and their clan had yet to truly process it. Lucas had been the leader over the past four hundred years. His decision along with his mate's to bring an end to their millennia of existence had been met with a great deal of resistance, but in the end, the decision was ultimately up to them. A thousand years was ten human lifespans, millions of changes in the world around them. They all knew Lucas had grown weary over the past few decades, frustrated by the progress of the humans against their kind. All any of them had wanted was to be allowed to live in peace, but that dream was as far from reality today as it had been since the discovery of their kind.

Leaving the conversation hanging in the air, Simon leaned forward in his seat, a hand absently tapping against the arm of the man sitting beside him. "Looks like we've got a bite." The encounter wasn't unusual. Simon had witnessed plenty of meetings in the past, had seen firsthand the expressions of confused recognition that flitted over the faces of the fledglings. It never ceased to amaze him how two souls could recognize each other after crossing paths with thousands of others in a lifetime. At times the fledglings ran from it, fearing that storm of emotions that came along with finding their mate. Those occurrences were rare, the valiant, but pointless effort resulting in failure as they were drawn back together over and over again until the two finally accepted their fate. From the looks of things, Simon didn't believe that would be the case with the two they were currently watching, but what troubled him was how little he knew about the male. Their network kept tabs on every fledgling from birth to their awakening, but the male was an unknown to Simon who had been, up until their leader's death, the tracker for their zone. There were two possible reasons; the first was that the male was not from Louisiana. The second, well that wasn't one he wanted to think on yet.

"Should we go after them?" The eager man beside him was already downing what was left of his beer, his body rising halfway from its seated position before Simon placed a firm hand on his shoulder to stop him. Eddie was enthusiastic about his position, and a quick learner, but Simon wished the man would be a bit more patient. He understood the reason for his zeal and didn't fault him at all for it, yet he still had much to learn about dealing with the fledglings.

"Relax, Eddie. They're leaving together. Let nature run its course. We'll keep an eye on them for the next couple days, but I don't think we'll have any problems." Simon remained relaxed in his seat, his eyes traveling away from the exiting couple to his companion. "There are no trackers in the area. No reason to overwhelm them right away. They're going to have enough to deal with when the change starts. We only intervene when they run. Those two aren't running; not from each other at least." Simon had been a runner, he would admit to anyone who asked. The feeling of finding a connection with a single person after years of feeling disconnected to the world was terrifying when first experienced. The second he'd laid eyes on his own mate, he had felt like throwing up. Rather than embarrass himself in front of her, he'd taken off like a bat out of hell, silently cursing himself for his weakness. In the end, it worked out, and he had a story that he could share with the more skittish fledglings he encountered.

"If you're sure." Reluctantly, Eddie dropped back down into his chair, frowning down at his now empty glass. "If I'd had known that I wouldn't have chugged my beer." The man watched the door, Simon sensing his uneasiness at remaining an observer. The corners of his lips threatened to twitch into a smile, amusement and a touch of pride evident behind the expression. "Get yourself another beer, Eddie. We'll see them again soon enough." There was no urgency to return to the compound, not yet. The real work wouldn't begin until the change began to happen, and then they would have to be cautiously approached. No one understood how precarious the situation was better than Simon, now he would have to spend the entirety of the night getting Eddie to understand. If he was going to hand the reigns over to the younger male, he wanted to be certain that he was fully prepared for the job.

It was all a dream, a bittersweet dream that would cling to her mind the moment she woke up to face reality. She would feel the heart-shattering loss once she was confronted with her lonely little apartment and her empty bed with an intense sense of loneliness. Amanda knew as the night wore on that the morning would be spent pondering if she had imagined JP, if he was some figment of her imagination that she'd conjured up to convince herself that she was capable of feeling something other than indifference. For a few hours, Amanda had the opportunity to feel what every other woman in the world had felt countless times before and she wanted to cling to it for as long as she could. How had she lived all of her life without her cheeks warming each time a man looked at her the way that JP did? How had she gone twenty two years without feeling her heart pitter-pattering away in her chest whenever his laugh rang in her ears? Was this how her friends felt each time they went out on a date with someone they liked? All this time Amanda had told herself she wasn't missing out on anything, only to discover that an entire world of emotions had been locked away from her for a majority of her life.

Amanda committed every detail JP revealed to her to memory, from the nuance of his voice as he spoke, the emotion behind ever intonation and the shifting of his expression. Her eyes traced over the lines in his brow when he became lost in a memory, noted the angle each tilt of his head when he spoke. She had never been so completely enthralled in learning about another person until he came along, and there weren't enough hours in the night to satisfy her hunger to learn more about him. Time passed in a blink, each second bringing her closer to waking up to a reality where the night could only be replayed in her mind to confirm it happened.

As the bell tolled to signal and end of the night and the dawn of a new day, Amanda knew their time together was drawing to an end. Her steps back to her car were sluggish, dragging along the ground as if she could delay the inevitable the manner a wayward child avoided going off to bed. The promise of a few more moments with him was stolen away when he insisted on remaining behind, and with no other reason to keep hold him any longer, Amanda hesitantly moved to the opened door, a protest dying on her lips with his assurances that he would be fine. He was a grown man, he didn't need her coddling him, she chided herself to no avail. Everything in her screamed not to let him go, to offer to let him stay at her place, offer to take him anywhere he wanted as long as it bought her a few more moments with him.

Try as she might concoct some reason to keep him, his question erased them all. Her smile lit up her entire face, happiness driving away the clouds of sadness that came with their parting. "Now I regret taking the shift for tomor….tonight." If only she didn't need the money, Amanda would have called her boss up that very second and told him she would not be coming in. Infatuation would not pay the bills, and as tempting as throwing off her responsibilities to be with JP for the night was, it wouldn't keep the roof over her head.

Gesturing for him to wait, Amanda ducked inside her car, rummaging through the bottomless pit of her purse for the all elusive pen that continued to escape her fingers. Triumphantly pulling it from the confines of her bag, she sought out a piece of paper, finding only a receipt from the grocery store available. "I doubt that you want to sit at my work half the night waiting for me to get a moment to talk, but I'm off tomorrow night." Jotting down her phone number along with her address in a flourish of scribbled letters and numbers, Amanda finally handed over the small slip of paper. "I can't promise a gourmet meal, but it's private and comfortable, and I rarely get the chance to fire up my oven." It was the first time she had invited someone into her own private sanctuary without the burn of alcohol clouding her mind, and the only time she wanted the company she was inviting into her home. "I'll be asleep most of today, but you can text me if you want. I'll answer when I get up."

Dark eyes scanned over the scroll stretched out in his hands, brow lined thickly with both worry and concentration. Josiah's mood, already dour at best, took a sharp turn for the worst as the words on the scroll finally penetrated through the thick layer of stubbornness in his mind. Again he read over the message, the scowl deepening the creases that marred his brow, the parchment in his hands crumbling as his fingers curled into fists.[/found]

It was all a blur; the phone call, stuffing her books back into her backpack. The drive to the hospital was a blank, nothing but hues of grays and white flashing in front of her eyes and the muffled blasts of horns as she weaved erratically through traffic. Emily couldn't begin to explain how she'd arrived at the hospital in one piece. Luckily for her, she didn't have to. Her parents were halfway across the world, soaking up the sights and sounds of Paris for their twenty fifth wedding anniversary; or at least they had been before the phone call. In the blink of an eye life had changed for her entire family, the world turning upside down and knocking them all off kilter. Edward McAdams' voice still echoed in her ears, his silky, near monotone voice usually a comfort to her now distorted and distant, drowned out by the echoes of her mother's wordless sobs in the background. Accident. It was the one word that rang clear as a bell, the one word that played out over and over again inside her head. Joey. Her only brother. The man she adored most in the world second to her father. The two words did not belong in the same sentence together, but there they were, delivered in the shaken voice of her father.

The details were sketchy, spoken through second and third hand accounts of witnesses and police officers. Her brother was at no fault, of course the lawyer in her father had gathered that information shortly after learning the fate of his son. By all accounts, Joey had been following the law, stopped at a stop sign and waiting his turn to pass through the intersection when his car had been hit from behind by a woman going too much over the speed limit, her eyes glued to the phone in her hand rather than the road ahead of her. The impact of the rear hit had been enough to send her brother crashing against the steering wheel, rendering him unconscious in an instant. His car drifted into the path of the car in the intersection, thankfully the vehicle going well below the speed limit to do any real damage to her brother. In the end, it didn't matter. It had taken firefighters over a half an hour to pull her brother free from the wreckage, and when they finally pulled him onto the awaiting stretcher, he had yet to regain consciousness.

However she accomplished it, Emily made it to the hospital with only the mental trauma of her own darkened thoughts to show for it. Her mind circled around the possibilities of what she would find once she got to the hospital, thinking of paralysis and limited brain activity, talk of pulling the plug and funeral arrangements. She worried herself into a frenzy, unable to think beyond the worst possible scenarios. She pushed through the throngs of people shuffling their way into the hospital, elbowing anyone who got in the way of her and the entrance. The normally patient teenager was on a mission, and nothing was going to get in between her and finding out her brother's fate; at what was under her control. As she rushed breathless and clammy to the counter, blurting out her brother's name in a winded pant, Emily had to hold back an outraged scream as the woman on the opposite side simply pointed to a chair and told her to wait. Wait? She had no idea what condition her brother was in, and this woman was asking her to wait? Had she lost her mind?!?

The nurse was a sour looking woman in her forties, with a pinched face and a scowl permanently etched in lines across her brow. The bright yellow scrubs she wore didn't little to brighten her appearance, or perhaps that was Emily unflattering opinion of the woman based off her less than forthcoming comments as she addressed the teenager. "Take a seat and the doctor will be out to see you." That was all she said before waving Emily off with one hand and motioning the person behind her to step forward with the other. The younger sister in her wanted to shove the person who was obviously going through any serious trauma out of the way, scruff the woman up by scrubs and force the nurse to answer her questions. The future nurse in her held her back, remembering that just because someone looked healthy did not always mean that they were. Deflated, she slunk back to the closest seat to the swinging doors of the E.R her dark green eyes burning holes through the plastic windows that only gave her a glimpse of the doctors and nurses' heads as they walked past.

Emily didn't know how long she sat there; her time spent reminiscing about the days when she and her brother were younger, the waiting room feeling more and more like a funeral home than a hospital. The atmosphere grew heavier as her mind became filled with tragic news that the doctors were holding back from her. He was paralyzed, missing a limb, or worse, in a coma that he would never wake up from. That was all that Emily could think as she sat there, one leg bouncing nervously while the other supported her wringing hands. The situation became dire the longer the doctors kept her waiting, and by the time the man finally did emerge from the swinging doors to call out her last name, the teenager was certain they were going to have to admit her for having a nervous breakdown.

She held onto her sanity, climbing onto weak legs to walk toward the middle aged male dressed in immaculate scrubs and still wearing the booties and cap needed in the operating room. Attentive ears hung on every word, a sharp mind picking through each syllable spoken to analyze over and over until she had a clear understanding of what was being said. Her brother had swelling in the brain, which left him in what they believed was a temporary comatose state, the certainty of that depending on the results of an MRI. There was some internal bleeding which had been stopped through surgery, and a punctured lung thanks to three broken ribs. The minor breaks and bruises were the least of Emily's worries; it was the head trauma that had her concerned. The redhead began to bombard the doctor with questions, her tone as sharp as her mind and her demeanor one that refused to be spoken down to like a child. The answers she received were vague, with a ill-humored attitude that drew the young woman's ire. "We're still waiting for the MRI results. For now he's being cleaned up and moved to the ICU." The doctor left her growling after him moments later, not bothering to respond to the rest of her unanswered questions.

Left once again to wait in the dismal waiting room with its horrible, tacky floral print wallpaper and glaring fluorescent lighting, Emily dropped down into the chair she had previously occupied, her mind racing with thoughts moved too fast for her to scrutinize. Pale, trembling hands once again pulled her phone free from the confines of her pockets, lithe digits sliding along the screen wanting to send a message to someone, anyone who would be able to sit with her, draw her mind away from her fretting and help her focus on what was important. There was Mark, her best friend since third grade, but like her, he was a senior and most likely sitting in class bored out of his skull. The thought calling her boyfriend Ray made her want to clench the phone in her fist until the device shattered into tiny splinters of plastic, his accented voice popping into her mind with the callous words that would be spewed out of his mouth. 'So? What do I care that your fucker of a brother's in the hospital? Serves the bitch right.' The imagined words incensed her to the core, her anger at her boyfriend's attitude making him the worst possible option to call. There was no one that she knew who would not be otherwise occupied, but she knew she had to call someone. Joey would need to hear friendly voices encouraging him to return to the land of the living, people who would want a speedy recovery for him and who would penetrate the damage to his skull to reach her brother.

Emily's fingers gracefully danced over the screen, skimming over dozens of contacts on her list until she reached the one she was loathed to touch. The tip of her finger hovered over the name 'Douche' her teeth worrying against her lower lip in a silent debate whether she should call the man her brother considered his best friend or not. The thought of it alone made her nauseous. The redhead would have preferred dealing with her asshole of a boyfriend rather than her brother's friends. 'But this isn't for you. It's for Joey.' Her mind insisted, the tiny voice of reason doing its job to motivate her into pushing the send button. The phone was pushed against her ear, soon greeted with the ringing of the line once it finally went through. She didn't know whether he would answer, didn't really care whether he did or not. She made the effort to reach out to him, and to Emily that was all the courtesy she would afford him. She was doing this for her brother who was currently laid up in a hospital bed in pain, and unaware that there was anyone out there worrying after him. Emily could at least tell him she tried when he woke up, and if she succeed, she would deal with the man for as long as it took for her brother to recover. She could only hope that time would be short, or else she might end up going to jail for murder.

She waited until the phone stopped ringing, barely acknowledging whether she was greeted by a mechanical voice of voicemail, or her brother's friend. For a moment she couldn't speak, even saying the words out loud, telling someone else that her brother was in the hospital brought it all home for her. Right now she could pretend that Joey would be wide awake with a few casts and some bruises when she finally reached his hospital room, but once she spat the words out, finally gave his condition there was no taking them back. Emily finally found her voice, tense and thick, but still hers. "Joey was in a car accident. He's at Mercy Hospital. They're getting ready to move him up to ICU….I don't know what room yet, you'll have to ask if you come. I thought you would want to know." She ended the call as quickly as she made it, stuffing her phone back into her pocket without another thought. She didn't want to talk to anyone, especially not him, and she would have gladly avoided it entirely if she could have. But it was too late now. The call had been made and now it would only be a matter of time before she was stuck dealing with his loathsome presence.

Emily McAdams is in her senior year of high school, three months shy of graduating and her eighteenth birthday. Her future is promising, with an early acceptance into one of the top nursing schools in the world, and a charmed life that anyone would be envious of. But, her life comes to a halt when her older brother is seriously injured in a car accident. Naturally, she's at his side in the hospital the moment she learns about it, but she's not alone. To her chagrin, his best friend is there as well.

Her brother's best friend has a history that makes a girl like Emily cringe. He's lazy, brash, and above all else, he's a womanizer. What she doesn't know is that there's a reason behind his womanizing, one that she would never guess in a million years. For years he has harbored a fondness for her, her age and her attitude toward him holding him back from ever sharing how he feels. At first, he only watched her, his feelings something akin to a guardian lurking in the shadows, keeping an eye on her, watching as she grew from a happy child to a normal, well-adjusted teenager. It was when she first started dating that his feelings turned from brotherly to something more complex, but he knew deep down that she would never feel anything but resentment toward him.

The accident gives him a chance to grow closer to her, taking up her older sibling's responsibilities to see that she is looked after. Naturally, things are tense between the two. She resents his closeness to her brother and believes that he's using her sibling's accident to use her the way he uses so many women. He takes her ridicule and abuse, never saying a word to her, only letting her speak her mind and say whatever she wants to hurt him. And it does hurt. He doesn't show it, but deep down inside every word that she spews against him is another blow to his heart. His feelings hold true though, believing that if she would take the time to get to know him she would see him differently.

He gets his chance to show his true self to her when he catches her boyfriend abusing her, intervening before the damage can become too great. He saves her and silently vows he will be there to protect her whether she wants it or not. His rescue does not go unappreciated and while Emily loathes the idea of needing protection, it is impossible for her not to feel safer with him around. A pathway to communication is opened between the two, and soon Emily finds that everything she'd ever thought about her brother's best friend was inaccurate.

A relationship blossoms between the two, feelings that have been repressed for years finally rising to the surface to freely be expressed. Life does not work out the way either of them hope when Emily is faced with the decision of leaving him behind to accomplish her goals or abandoning her dreams to remain with him. Heartbroken and unable to face the end of their relationship, she leaves without a word, taking along a secret that will change their lives forever.

    Part two~

    Four years later:
With college completed, Emily returns home, but she does not come back alone. With her is a man she has promised to spend the rest of her life with, along with their twins. Her return to the life she left behind reopens wounds that both she and her previous love thought was closed.

    Age: 17
    Birthday: June 29th
    Parents: Edward and Sandra McAdams
    Sibling: Joey McAdams

    Appearance:
Emily is 5'7, 128lbs, with dark green eyes and dark red hair that reaches past the middle of her back. Because of her job she is fairly in shape, but most of her muscle definition would be in her legs. Because of her health condition, she tries to maintain a certain weight and will not allow herself to go above or below it, to most people that make her appear shallow which she isn't.

    Talents:
Emily is a very good cook and a talented singer. She also does extremely well in school, keeping a 4.0 average from third grade until her senior year of high school. She is also a very talented ice skater, having taken lessons nearly all of her life and eventually going on to teach others.

    Personality:
    ♥Determined
    ♥Stubborn
    ♥Goal Oriented
    ♥Intelligent
    ♥Loyal
    ♥Honest
    ♥Private

Emily is an extremely loyal person and only surrounds herself with people who are the same way (With few exceptions). The people close to her see a funny, sweet, caring person who would do anything for those close to her. The outsider's perspective is much different. To those who do not know her, Emily appears to be a judgmental snob, and that's the furthest from the truth. She is a very understanding person and knows that not everyone was fortunate enough to have the same kind of love and support that she did. Though a person may have problems, she doesn't automatically hold that against them. What leads her to snub a person is how they handle their problems, and how much responsibility they take for their actions.

Emily has always been mature for her age, and always knew what she wanted to do with her life from a very young age. She's not the type to become easily distracted and when she sets her mind to something she puts in 100% effort to see it through. She doesn't have tunnel vision, but most people would assume that she does from how she behaves. She thinks everything through before she goes through with it, weighing not only the pros and cons but how it might affect her future. Because of this, she abhors drugs and alcohol and will generally not associate with anyone who wastes their time with them.

She's not all seriousness though. Emily loves to laugh, and actually has a good sense of humor. She's not completely heartless toward people who have lost their way, but she does not tolerate excuses either. She believes that everyone should take responsibility for their own actions and find a way to fix their own problems. She doesn't turn away from a person who needs her, which is probably one of her biggest flaws as well as one of her more endearing traits. It is the need to help that always lands her in the most trouble, and the reason she is so selective about who she allows close to her. Once she lets a person into her life, that person remains a part of it until they chose to leave it themselves, and she will forever be loyal to them no matter where they stand.

    History:
Emily was born the youngest of two children. Her older brother Joey, five years her senior, had a soft spot for her from the moment she was born, and her parents, thrilled to finally have a little girl, adored her to no end. She never let the attention go to her head though, and always remained modest and sweet. That could have been the result of her grandmother's influence.

Throughout her childhood, Emily spent most of her free-time with her maternal grandmother, a retired nurse who grew up in the South and always taught Emily to look for the value in every person. From the time she was old enough to walk and talk, Emily hung onto every word her grandmother said, and took every lesson to heart. Most of her fondest memories are of moments with her grandmother, sitting and watching her work in the kitchen or gardens, and listening to the stories she would tell. Of all of the members of her family, it was Shirley Dawson that always held all of Emily's respect, and became her role model for the person she wanted to become. It was the desire to follow in her grandmother's footsteps that led to Emily deciding at the young age of seven that she wanted to become a nurse. It was also at that age that the little girl aged nearly a decade in a single year.

By the age of eight, Emily became an adult in a child's body. She still played and enjoyed her childhood, but developed a drive to succeed that most adults would envy. Getting good grades in school wasn't good enough for Emily; she needed to have straight A's which often led her to become the subject of her classmates' teasing. Emily took it in stride though, shrugging off the jokes of her being a teacher's pet and embracing her accomplishments. It didn't matter to her what the rest of the world thought, as long as she was happy with herself and what she did. It was also during that year that Emily met and became friends with Mark Greyson. Although the two shared a competitive rivalry at first, they soon became inseparable. Emily gave Mark the push he needed to come out of his shyness, while Mark grounded some of Emily's unrealistic goals she set for herself. He would pull her down to reality when she got too hard on herself and would serve a reminder to her that she didn't always have to be perfect.

The friendship grew over the years, and even though the two acquired their own little clique of friends, they remained as close as brother and sister. When Mark came out as gay, Emily was the first to stand and his side, defending him against anyone who would dare go after him for it. Not that anyone in their little group would have thought to do such a thing; they weren't the type. Like Emily and Mark, their friends were the straight-laced kids, the ones who never skipped school and always turned their homework in on time. They were the kids that never got into trouble, and always strived to be better people. The group stuck together through middle school and well into high school without change. Wherever one was, another of the group could be found close by if they were not all together.

Emily adjusted to high school easily enough, already planning for college the minute she entered the doors of her school. Everything that she did reflected on her desire to attend the college of her dreams, and it was that goal that wove a path through her life's decisions. While the rest of her classmates were enjoying their weekends, Emily was doing community service and extra-curricular activities to pad her already glowing portfolio. All of that came to a near dead halt the summer before her Junior year when she became stricken with an unusual illness. The fever nearly killed her, and for a full week, doctors stated that it was touch or go whether she would survive. Eventually, she pulled through, but not completely untouched by it. Within a week it was discovered that the unexplained illness had destroyed her pancreas and as a result Emily was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. Rather than allow the disease to rule her life and change her, Emily used it to her advantage. She strove harder to ensure she reached her goals and became even more aware of how precious life was. She began to find a balance between living her life and accomplishing what she set out to do.

In the beginning of her senior year, Emily's life was altered again, not in a good way, when she met and began to date, Ray Devins. Ray, who had moved from England to live with his aunt after his parents' death, was a seemingly nice guy, and at the start of their relationship, things were going well. It was after three months dating and their first time sleeping together that things began to change. It started off gradually as most abusive relationships do. Ray would get jealous each time Emily went to hang out with her friends and would keep tabs on her wherever she went. Eventually, his jealousy turned to possessiveness, which began the descent from verbal to physical abuse. At first, Emily told herself that it was Ray's own abuse at the hands of his aunt that was the cause, that he had simply forgotten what it was like to be treated as a normal person. He would change if she stuck around, and their relationship would go back to normal. Eventually, she gave up on that idea and realized that she was dating a man who simply enjoyed inflicting pain of all kinds on anyone. Rather than end the relationship though, Emily stuck with it.

Most people would question her sanity, wondering why a smart girl like Emily would stay with a man who abused her in every way possible. Her reasoning came in the form of an acceptance letter from John Hopkins in the middle of the school year. In a few months' time, she would be leaving to go to the school of her dreams, and Ray would be a part of her past. Why break up with him when she could use him as a shield to keep anyone else interested in her away? For Emily, it was safer to stay with Ray and deal with his crap than it was to go out into the world where she had to fight guys off. She had no feelings at all for Ray other than disgust and contempt, which she kept hidden away from everyone, including her closest friends. She could head off to college without any remorse for ending the relationship and still be able to enjoy her time left at home without always turning someone down. To Emily, it was a win-win situation, and if she had to endure a few hurtful words and a couple of slaps it would be well worth it the minute her car was packed up and she was on the road.

Now only four months away from graduation, and seven months from heading to college, Emily is comfortable with her choices and living her life the way that she wants to. She remains close to her friends in spite of her boyfriend's attitude and accusations, goes to work after school, and uses the rest of her free time studying or spending time with the people she cares about. All that is about to change when her older brother gets into a car accident while their parents are away on their second honeymoon and Emily is forced to take responsibility for her sibling during their parents' absence.

Joey is the oldest of two and often considered the problem child even though he doesn't get into any serious trouble. After his sister was born he saw it as his job to look after her, and for a while he did. In time their roles switched, and she ended up being the one to look after him.

He had a normal childhood. He had plenty of friends, played football and baseball in high school, and managed to get somewhat decent grades. Overall there were no problems in his life until he informed his parents that he would not be attending school to become a lawyer the way his father, and all the men of his side of the family did, but would be going to college to pursue a career in computer graphics. The confession created a huge rift in the family dynamics and put all the pressure on Emily to take up the role her brother refused to fulfill. Emily, however, sided with her brother, refusing to turn her back on him simply because he wanted to make his own decision for the future, and has been the only one in the family to truly support him.

He moved out of his parents' house at the age of twenty one, and has since been living on his own in an apartment a short distance away from his former home. Although he no longer lives there, he stops by quite often to check up on his sister and spend time with his parents.

  • Greetings! I'm Scripturient, but you can call me Script. I'm an advanced writer who has been roleplaying for the past sixteen years. Currently, most of my partners are suffering through real life, and I've got a bit of free time on my hands, so I am once again on the hunt for at least one partner, possibly two.

I am a stay at home mom, with a house full of kiddos, cats, a dog, and a husband who acts more like a kid than a grown man. My posting times vary, but for the most part, I am usually around during the days when I have the house all to myself. There will be times I might not be able to get a post out every day or every other day, but I try to get one out at least once a week. If things change, I usually will let you know.

I enjoy writing, and I can write novels if I have a partner comfortable enough with lengthy posts. My absolute minimum is four medium-large paragraphs between 150-250 words. I would like to find partners that are capable of keeping up with that.

I also play multiple characters and would like a partner who does not mind playing multiples. My only stipulation as far as characters go is that I will NOT play a male character in a romantic pairing. I will play male characters, but as far as romance goes, it's off limits.

I have a few limits. I will not play anything involving bodily fluids, gore, extreme violence, furries, or anything anime related.

I do ask for Character Sheets, I will forewarn you now.

Currently, I have a few fantasy ideas that I am looking for a partner for that I will list on here. I have another search for Slice of Life plots and pairings. If you're interested, let me know. :)

If anything catches your interest, feel free to send me a PM.

  • Setting: Post-apocalyptic future
    Character: Arimae Sarin

Before the rise of man, the world was a far different place, populated by vicious monsters and evil beings that threatened to destroy mankind before it could even truly blossom. The gods watched, wishing to help but could not interfere directly. From their heavenly perch, they witnessed the slaughter of innocents, the earth tinged red with the blood of hundreds and thousands of their precious children. Frustrated, the gods came together to formulate a plan that would aid the humans. They could not simply lend their powers to the humans, not directly; the human body could not withstand them for long. They could, however, grant the humans the ability to use their powers for a short time, becoming a god among men until the humans were no longer threatened.

With the plan decided, the gods imbued a necklace with their powers, granting the wearer all the powers of each and every god. The necklace was gifted to the king of men, a good and fair ruler who the gods trusted. The king took full advantage of his gift, riding the world of every foul creature to threaten man, and near the end of his lifetime, he had nearly eliminated the threat to humanity. With his task complete and his life drawing to a close, the king decided that it was time to hide the necklace away, not wishing for it to fall into the hands of evil men. He tasked this final quest to a priestess, a woman believed to be the daughter of the goddess of love.

For years the priestess traveled the world, searching for the perfect place to hide the necklace, only returning to her kingdom once her task was complete. But the priestess was no fool and knew that there would be many to search for the necklace. For days after her return, she spoke with the gods, trying to find a way to protect mankind from those who would wish to do harm with the gift. In a dream, the answer came to her. The gods ordered the priestess to form a new brotherhood, a group of devote and loyal men who would pass along the tale of the necklace and its gifts, and vow to protect its chosen guardian. The Guardian, she learned, would be born once every five hundred years when the planets aligned. The guardian would carry the knowledge of the priestess, along with the location of the necklace.

When she woke, the priestess hurried to find her new band of priests, scouring the world for those with strength, integrity, and intelligence. She gathered twelve men, each vowing to fulfill their destinies and pass on their knowledge to the next generation. The plan was in motion, with mankind oblivious to the gift of the gods, protected from those who would use the power for evil; at least for a time.

One of the priests had fallen in love with the priestess, and when the woman rejected him, he fled the land. For months there was no trace of the priest at all, not a single rumor or whisper of where he may have gone. Then, as quickly as he disappeared he returned, but he had changed. The once good and decent man now had a sinister air around him, and try as the priestess would, she could not help but distrust him. Her mistrust was well placed. Within a night of the priest's return, the priestess was kidnapped by a group of bandits, all of whom demanded she tell them where the necklace was. The priestess was beaten and tortured, forced to endure every humiliation known to man. Rather than allowing herself to give into her captors, the priestess took her own life to keep her secret.

And so the tales of the necklace lived on through the eyes of two group; the priests who remained faithful to their task, and the bandits who continued their blind search for the necklace. The legend was passed down from generation to generation, each group growing and preparing for the day the new guardian would return.

Humanity evolved, growing by the thousands, then millions, until soon there were billions. The legend lived on, the hunt for the guardian a constant quest. And then one day mankind destroyed itself. The world they had built was destroyed, becoming nothing more than a wasteland. The monsters that had been lurking in the shadows saw this as their return, their numbers growing as mankind began to dwindle away. The need for the necklace became paramount in the survival of mankind, but the guardian had yet to be found. The hunt was still on for the woman who held the key to man's survival.

    Plot:
It's 2145, the world is a virtual wasteland filled with the crumbling remains of civilization destroyed in a nuclear holocaust. Humanity has dwindled down from billions to just under a hundred thousand, and slowly growing. Most humans wander from place to place, scavenging what resources they can find while searching for a place that will allow them to settle. The world itself has already started the healing process, with patches of fertile land and waters that are clean enough for drinking, but these places are few and far between.

Among the wanderers the priests and bandits have already begun their search for the guardian, who by all accounts would have been born eighteen years prior. Each group has their own motives. The priests to protect the guardian, find the necklace and use its powers to restore the world, and the bandits who wish to use the power of the necklace to take control of the world and gain ultimate power. Neither group knows exactly who they are looking for, only that the guardian is a woman born with the knowledge of the necklace's first protector.

Arimae is not what one would expect a guardian to be. Her mother swore that she was something special, destined to do great things from the moment she was born. But those high praises and dreams of a great destiny died along with the woman when the girl was five years old. Her father did not feel the same love for the girl, only viewing her with ridicule and contempt. When his wife died, he was quick to leave the girl to fend for herself, believing that she would die shortly afterward. She did not die, however. She survived, scavenging what she could and learning the skills she needed through trial and error. Her only salvation was her dreams, dreams of a time and place where the world was beautiful and peaceful, where she was respected and strong enough to take care of herself. Each night the Arimae would dream of this life, longing to become the woman she was in her mind. But when she awoke, the dreams became little more than a memory, and the reality of her life far from what she longed for. She traveled alone, always ignoring the pull of some unforeseen force that nagged at her, going out of her way to venture further from the call.

Eventually, the girl found herself a safe haven, a tiny little speck of land with enough fertile soil for her to grow whatever seeds she could find and enough rain to keep herself alive. She settled, scaring off unwanted company whenever they passed by. It is here that she has lived for the past two years, a little hovel of a home and a small patch of lush green land around it. The dreams come to her more often, and the pull is getting harder and harder to resist, but the girl stays where she is, pretending that she doesn't remember the destiny her mother spoke of.

It began with a king and his endless thirst for ultimate power.

No one knows the exact what ritual the king performed, what source of evil he sold his soul to in order to obtain his desires. No longer satisfied with ruling his own country, he began to desire more and would stop at nothing until his rule extended far beyond the borders of his land and throughout the entire world. The changes within the castle began gradually, at first to those closest to the king. Their hearts turned black, their thoughts and actions fueled by the hunger for power and violence.

    Setting: Modern Fantasy
    Character: Katriel (Kat) D'Lurauex

He was her superior, a man she had worked with, trained with, and fought beside for years. She was a tracker, one of the best in the kingdom, striving to make a name for herself. The attraction between them was almost instant. She admired him for his skills, respected him for his treatment of her, and felt an instant physical pull toward him. However, rules were rules and because he was the captain of the guards, and she was beneath him the sparks between them went ignored. But life and their work keeps them in constant contact, forced to deal with the chemistry between them by seeking solace in the arms of others, but never succeeding.

Did I mention that she was also a half-breed?

Half elf, half human, she had to fight to earn her place. Shunned by the elves, and laughed at by humans, the only way that she could earn respect was through her own determination to prove her worth. In a kingdom where the human world is meant to remain beyond the enchantments, she is an unwanted outsider, only able to remain in the kingdom because of her father's position as the King's guard.

The world has always been split, with the elves keeping to themselves while humans were prohibited from stepping foot inside their territory and the human world is off limits. Elves and humans banded with their own kind, forming alliances between themselves with a tense truce between man and elf.

However, elitism exists in the elven kingdoms, small factions springing up within each one that are tired of sharing the world with humans who are slowly destroying it. Rebellions begin to spring up within each elven kingdom, small skirmishes that cause unrest among the elves. What the royal families do not know is that those factions are beginning to work together, devising plans to turn the royal elven families against the humans and put an end to the truce between their kind and mankind.

When the tracker saves the life of the queen, she and the captain of the guards become entrapped in the center of a plot that is bigger than either of them ever imagined. Forced to work together to ensure peace prevails and find a way to strengthen the truce between humans and elves, the two find themselves together on a journey that will take them across the world, gathering allies and enemies along the way. Throughout it all they must decide whether to keep to the ways of the world in hopes that it will help them in the end, or give into the chemistry between them and hope they can make a change.

  • Setting: Modern Fantasy
    Character: Eden Rayne

They were mates, a forbidden love that only one was certain would transcend beyond their contrasting natures. She was a creature of light, an angel sent to Earth to protect the innocent from the fiery tortures of hell. He was a demon, bent on corrupting and tarnishing every soul he crossed paths with. They crossed paths one day, lust reigning the day as he watched her fight off his brothers in defense of a village. He came up with a plan, a wicked plan meant to destroy her light and send her to the darkest pits of hell.

From that day on he seduced her, playing on the kindness of her heart, and whispering words of redemption into her ear. He would become good, denounce his loyalty to the underworld if she would be his mate. For months she refused, the wall she wrapped around her heart for him soon chipping away as he continued to pursue her. Against the wishes of her kin and her creator, she finally caved in, unable to deny the love she felt for him any longer.

For a while he strung her along, making her fall head over heels in love with him until she could hardly resist even the smallest smile sent her way. But his love was cruel, and hers was blind. Soon she was forced to turn her eyes and ears away from his many betrayals, and ignore the hurtful things he said and did to her. Throughout it all she loved him, convincing herself that he simply needed to be taught another way to show his love for her.

Then one night, in a rage when he could not anger her, he killed her. He assumed that deep down in her heart there was hatred for him, and her soul would be cast into hell for betraying her creator. What he did not know was that every cruel act had been forgiven, and even as she lay with her life fading away, in a pool of her own blood, the angel still loved him until her last breath.

He expected a hero's welcome when he returned to hell, praise for corrupting and damning a pure soul that was required to love. What he found was ridicule, resentment, and humiliation once he discovered his plan had failed. Rather than be rewarded with a better place in hell, he was banished to Earth for eternity for failing. It was during his centuries among the mortals that he realized his mistake. His mate had been his chance for salvation, an opportunity for him to earn himself a place in the heavens. With that knowledge he began to hunt for her, hoping that he could restore her love for him and find a way to be allowed in heaven for eternity.

What he wasn't aware of was the fact that the angel no longer remembered him. As her soul returned to Heaven, it was decided to erase her memories of him, leaving her completely unaware that she had ever loved the demon. Soon she was turned into a demon hunter, an angel tasked with eliminating any demon she crossed paths with. She quickly rose up the ranks, becoming one of the best hunters in the heavens, and gradually forming her own small army to combat the corruption of humans.

Now in the present, the angel has been returned to Earth to stop what is believed to be the war to end all wars on Earth. The two cross paths, resulting in a fight started by the angel. As the fight progresses though, she realizes that not only can she not hurt him, but she cannot kill him no matter how much she tries. Frustrated, she flees in search for answers, leaving the demon to once again pursue her and convince her of her connection to him.

Sleeping with the Enemy
She was engaged to a man who she thought loved her as much as she loved him, at least until she walked into their shared home to discover that she wasn't the only one willing to share his bed. Heartbroken and in need of a place to stay, she turns to the only person she knows will keep her cheating ex away; his older brother. Little does she know that for years he has harbored feelings for her, feelings that he kept hidden because of her infatuation with his sibling. Now that her eyes have been open, he is anxious to seize his opportunity to have the woman of his dreams and hurt his younger brother.

Flipped

Growing up, she had the biggest crush on him and he barely noticed she existed. They lived next door to each other, her family struggling to make ends meet, while his family was fairly well off. She would follow him everywhere, desperate to get his attention while he would go out of his way to ignore her. Their entire childhood was spent with her chasing after him, and him running away. He never took a moment to notice that there was much more to her than the gawking little girl with a mouth full of metal and hand-me-down clothes.

And then one day before middle school her family moved. She didn't even bother saying goodbye to him; didn't even say a word. He thought that he'd be ecstatic not having her shadowing him everywhere he went, but as adolescence came and girls started to ignore him, he realized that he missed the attention. Throughout high school he was ignored while all the popular girls flocked to the jocks. Once high school was finished, he thought that his luck might improve and he'd finally have the chance to meet a girl in college. When his dorm assignment comes and he stares at the name, he discovers that he's stuck with the one girl in the world he thought he'd never cross paths with again.

Valery Abrams knew how lucky she was. The first half of her life had been rough. Her family was poor, and she had been little more than the strange girl on the street, the girl who drug home every stray she could find, and who caught everyone's attention simply by being what they considered weird. She could still remember the rejection of her first crush, a boy she thought she would end up with despite the fact he went out of his way to ignore her. Her luck changed just before middle school. Her father, finally finished with his education, landed a high paying job and moved the family across the country. People didn't laugh when they caught her dragging home stray animals, not when they discovered she was taking them to shelters and trying to find them homes. And as adolescence hit, she grew into her features, morphing from a scrawny little girl to a well-developed woman. Still, Valery didn't let the changes affect her too much, except when it came to the opposite sex. Her first and only rejection stuck with her, and she refused to date anyone regardless of how much they appeared to like her.

When college time comes around and she notices who she'll be rooming with, Valery can't help but feel self-conscious. Their first meeting is tense with Valery still feeling insecure while he feels as if he's hit the jackpot. Now if only he could remind her about her crush on him in the past without rekindling the feelings of rejection…..

When the Past Come Back
They were high school sweethearts, madly in love and convinced that they would be together forever. But when he joins the military without saying a word and abandons her when they turn 18, she is devastated and left to pick up the pieces of the life she dreamed they would have to make one for herself. She never thought that she would find someone else. The truth was, she didn't want to. However, life has a funny way of working, and shortly before graduating from college, she finds herself married to a man she's convinced herself to love and preparing to start a family with him in her hometown. That is until her ex comes back into the picture.

Seeing him for the first time brings back all of the heartaches she felt the moment he left her, and when she sees his wife by his side, she can't help but feel envious. What she doesn't know is that he feels the exact same way, and the only thing on his mind after seeing her again is how he can get back into her life.

Abigail's life has never been all sunshine and roses. For the first few years, things were normal. Her parents worked hard, adored each other, and loved both her and her brother, but when her father got into an accident that nearly cripples him, things begin to change. Her father's addiction began because of the pain he suffered, but their mother's addiction was to escape the reality of her failing marriage and abusive husband. Their house became a haven to the scum of society. Their mother would bring in any man that was willing to give her attention, while their father was always strung out on the couch with an assortment of needles and pills littered around him. If it hadn't been for her brother, Abby might not have survived.

An already miserable life became worse when their mother left their father without a word, not only raising the man's ire at women in general but turning his full-out wrath on Abby. The situation grew dire when physical abuse was no longer enough to satisfy his anger. Abby could not be left alone in the house for a second, not when their father was awake, and with her brother Alex the only one working to provide what he could for Abby, the situation became too dangerous for her older brother to ignore.

After years of keeping their parents' secrets, Alex finally went to the only person that he could trust; their aunt Clara. She moved quickly to take both children away, blackmailing their father with threats of turning him into the police to avoid the court system. For years the three of them lived peacefully, and Abby began to adjust to having a normal life, but just when she thought the end of her nightmare was close, their aunt is killed in a car accident, shattering the normalcy she was just beginning to get used to.

But now seventeen years old, and close enough to adulthood that the threat of being returned to her father's care could be avoided, she and Alex remained where they were. Alex worked full time to avoid using the money their aunt had left them, but without a proper education, he was stuck in dead-end jobs that would not help Abby get her own education when it came time for her to finish up high school. He decides to join the military, which would not only help him support his sister but provide him with his own education as well. The problem was, he would have to leave Abby alone. Sending her to live with their father again wasn't an option, so he enlists the help of his best friend instead.

The arrangement at first was that his friend simply stop in to check on Abby and make sure she was alright and had everything that she needed, but when their father makes an appearance, the plan changes. Alex begs his best friend to move into the house with Abby to help keep their father at bay and to keep up the appearance that Alex is still very much in the picture.

    +++++++++++++++++++++
    Part two~

    Four years later:

With college completed, Emily returns home, but she does not come back alone. With her is a man she has promised to spend the rest of her life with, along with their twins. Her return to the life she left behind reopens wounds that both she and her previous love thought was closed.

    [glow= #292f79]Apartment 21[/glow]
    Best Friends
After catching her boyfriend cheating, she finds herself with no place to go. Calling on the one person that she knows she can rely on, her best friend is quick to offer her a place to stay until she can get back on her feet again. The first night of living together, the two of them get drunk and end up sleeping together. She wakes up with a case of regret, and he wakes up convinced that she's the only woman in the world for him.

  • Sleeping with the Enemy
    Fiance x Fiance's Brother

She was engaged to a man who she thought loved her as much as she loved him, at least until she walked into their shared home to discover that she wasn't the only one willing to share his bed. Heartbroken and in need of a place to stay, she turns to the only person she knows will keep her cheating ex away; his older brother. Little does she know that for years he has harbored feelings for her, feelings that he kept hidden because of her infatuation with his sibling. Now that her eyes have been open, he is anxious to seize his opportunity to have the woman of his dreams and hurt his younger brother.

    Flipped
    Childhood Crush

    When the Past Come Back
    Ex's

  • What Mother doesn't know
    Stepdaughter x Stepfather

He had been married to her mother since she was ten years old. At first, the marriage went well with her mother being the loving, doting wife he'd been searching for. But things remain that way for long. Within three years her mother was off taking advantage of her stepfather, leaving Braelyn to pick up the slack for her mother. Of course, the teenager could have predicted what would happen. She knew her mother better than anyone and saw the writing on the wall long before her mother and stepfather married. She wasn't looking for a man to replace Braelyn's father and the love of her life, but a man who she could saddle her child with, who was willing to be taken advantage of without any complaint, and who would fund the lifestyle she wanted.

Braelyn felt sorry for her stepfather and tried to do all that she could to make up for her mother's neglect. She went out of her way to make sure dinner was on the table for him when he got home from work, the house was clean, and the laundry was done. She'd spend her free time hanging around the house, trying to engage her stepfather in conversation and doing what she could to keep his mind off his wayward wife. For a while, she was content to play the role of a substitute wife, without all of the duties that came along with the role.

However, when she turned 18 she realized that something was different between herself and her stepfather. It became common for him to come into her room at night, even when her mother was home. He'd sit on the edge of her bed, watching her every move with an expression on his face that Braelyn could not read. She noticed that his hugs lasted a lot longer than they should have, and his hands slipped a little too low to be considered innocent. Of course, Braelyn assumed she was imagining things, but when her mother goes off for a week without a word, her stepfather is finally free to make his move without anything standing in his way.

***Note*** This rp will start off with dub-con and blackmail, and eventually turn into romance. This could be turned into Daughter x Father

    [font= Rochester[His Everything[/font]
    Sister x Brother
Growing up in an abusive home, the two siblings had no one to rely on but each other. They had each other's back and kept one another out of trouble to the best of their ability. It was only natural that their close relationship always bordered on unnaturally affectionate and loving. At first, she didn't really notice how abnormal the two of them were, not until she got older and began to peer into the lives of her friends. It was through those little glimpses of normal families that she realized that what she and her brother shared was unnatural, and she needed to put an end to it. The problem was; she didn't really want to. However, she did.

Abandoning her brother, she ran away from home and went off to create a new life for herself. After busting her ass for the later part of her teenage life, she managed to work her way through college and finally put her past behind her; or so she thought.

Out of the blue, her brother comes knocking on the door, successful in his own way, and wanting to reconnect with the sibling he thought he'd lost. What she doesn't realize the moment that she lets him back into her life is that he's not looking to restore their familial relationship. He has something else in mind and he's not going to let her get away from him until he finally has her the way he's always wanted her.

Setting: Medieval
Genres: Action, Fantasy, Angels & Demons, Violence
Character: Serephie
A creature has been created, one that threatens the balance of the world. It is a void, neither good nor evil, it devours things indiscriminately, setting the world off course and defying the very laws of nature.

God and the devil come to a truce in order to correct the problem, but because of a previous agreement between them, they cannot directly intervene. Instead they chose one of their own to fix the problem that has been created.

She is an angel, incapable of hatred which makes her weak. She loves and forgives all she crosses paths with.

He is a demon, who is weak in his own way. Incapable of even the smallest amount of emotion, he is physically strong, but his lack of feelings leaves him with a lack of desire to do what demons do best. He cares about nothing at all, and does not bother to even try to.

Their creatures change their hearts unbeknownst to them, granting them both the ability to develop feelings that were previously absent. The angel can hate, although she has no reason to do so. The demon can love, but he has not found what it is to inspire it from him.

The two are forced to work together, chained by an invisible thread to force their cooperation. When they work together peacefully, the thread grows longer, and if they continue to work together, the bound eventually breaks. The more they fight against each other, the shorter the thread becomes.

They are tasked to find the creature of the Void, and learn how to destroy it before it destroys the world.

This is a semi-normal search for me. However, I realized recently that I have entirely too many good girl characters with eventual happy endings, and I have a serious craving for a darker story with characters that aren't quite as sweet and certainly not innocent. The stories in this search will possibly involve murder, blackmail, pseudo-rape, drug use, adultery, criminal behavior, and many other dark themes.

Below I will post the summarized ideas for the plot, along with the character I intend to play.

  • Plot: Uptown Girl
Julia, wealthy, married woman crosses paths with a working-class man, and the attraction between them is instantaneous. She seduces him, playing the role of an abused wife when in reality she is pampered and adored by her doting husband. She teases him constantly, eventually making him fall in love with her, but she has no intentions of leaving her cushy life to be with a man who can't provide for her the way her husband can.

Themes: Possible murder, teasings, blackmail, Power Struggle, stalking
    Looking for: Working Class Male
    Age Range: 23-32

  • Plot: Help Me be Bad
Jocelyn has always been happy-go-lucky, the type of girl that guys made friends with but never wanted anything more from. Entering her third year of college, she is starting to get frustrated sitting at home on Friday nights while all of her other friends are out having fun. Enlisting the help of her playboy best friend, she asks him to help her transform into the type of woman who will drive men wild and eating out of the palm of her hand. The lessons take a bit too well, and her best friend finds himself falling in love while Jocelyn is off enjoying the attention of every man she can get.

    Themes: Multiple partners, drug use
    Looking for: Male Best Friend
    Age Range: 20-25

  • Plot: Sleeping with the Enemy:
When Nora catches her fiance sleeping with another woman, there is only one person she can turn to seek out revenge; his older brother. The two brothers have hated each other all of their life, and the eldest sibling is only too happy to teach his younger a brother a lesson with Nora's help.

    Themes: Cheating, drug use, blackmail
    Looking for: Fiance's brother
    Age Range: 25-30

  • Sugar and spice, but not always Nice;

Tori Brennor and her mother hated each other. It started after her father was killed in a car accident while going to buy Tori a birthday present and has continued for the past six years. Although she's 19, she can't afford to move out and finish up college, leaving her stuck in her childhood home with her mother and her new stepfather, who Tori can admit isn't too bad. How her mom landed a younger man, especially a good-looking, younger man is beyond her, but Tori gets an idea on how to make life at home a little more entertaining under her mother's overbearing watch. One night, while her mother's out of town for work, she decides to turn her sights on her stepfather. Crawling into bed with him in the middle of the night, it doesn't take much persuasion on her part to get him to do what she wants. Unfortunately for the poor guy, Tori has no intentions on making it a one-time affair, and she has all the evidence she needs to put an end to his marriage if he doesn't do what she wants.

    Themes: Adultery, blackmail
    Looking for: The Stepfather
    Age Range: 25-32

  • Plot: Me and My Boyfriend
Growing up in an abusive home, Isabelle could not wait for the day she turned 18 and could finally move out of the house. Luck, however, is not on her side. Dirt poor, and without the benefit of good grades, her prospects of getting out of her house are slim to none The only thing she has going for her is her boyfriend, who makes her life a little more bearable. He is willing to do anything for her if he thinks it will make her happy. So when she comes up with a plan to get her parents out of the way and escape to Mexico, it doesn't take him more than a few minutes to be convinced.
    Themes: Murder, Criminal Behavior
    Looking for: Boyfriend
    Age Range: 17-22

These are the plots I have so far.

  • Introduction and Rules:

Hello, I am Nydanna, but you can call me Ny. I currently have a whole mess of searches going on, but I'm kind of frustrated with updating each and every one of them when my cravings change. So, I decided to devote one single search to my current cravings to get it out of the way. This will be updated as my cravings change and as new ideas pop into my rather fickle mind.

To begin, I will tell you a little about me:
♥I am a stay at home mom. Sometimes I have all the time and inspiration to push out replies, and other times I'm crashing face first into bed and not able to even think about anything at all except sleep. My posting fluctuates with my life. I do try to get replies out as frequently as I can, but my muse doesn't always want to cooperate with me.

♥I am an adult (Obviously!) and I expect to my partner to be an adult as well. I won't chase after you if I don't hear anything from you. However, I will warn you now, if I do not hear anything within two weeks, I will consider the roleplay dropped.

♥I am not a 'smut only' writer. All of my roleplays will always be more plot than smut. I've tried 50/50 and I get bored. I prefer 70/30 at the most. I do enjoy a good sex scene, but I feel that it should add to the story rather than simply be thrown in.

♥I am a sucker for drawn-out romances and tension. I do not do love at first sight.
♥I do like having CS and I will ask for one. I do not require detailed CS (Unless you enjoy doing them) just name, age, and a description if you do not use a picture.

♥On the subject of images, because the issue has come up in the past, I use realistic images only. If it is a fantasy plot, I will not use anime unless there is absolutely no way for me to avoid it.

♥I do like chatting with my partners, although there are times when it takes a while for me to reply. It's not you, I'm absolutely horrible keeping up with PMs, which is why I prefer threads over everything.

♥I currently have way too many PM roleplays and am only looking for thread or email roleplays. Sorry.
♥I am trying to improve my writing. Lately, I've been rather lazy with things and I'm looking to spice things up a bit. I would like my partner to have a similar state of mind.

♥I love plotting things out, but I also enjoy having surprises from time to time.

♥I can write novels if I'm inspired. Please do not feel that you need to match me word for word. However, if I write up a long reply I would like something in return. I do not do one-liners, or one paragraph replies, ever. I can do a minimum of three paragraphs (Although I cringe with them.)

♥My main character will always be female. I know people get in a tizzy over this, but it is what I'm comfortable with. I will play plenty of other characters, and I will play male characters, but I will not play out smut scenes with a male character. I'm just not comfortable doing so. If I do have a male character that ends up in a romantic pairing, things will fade to black.

♥I am more comfortable with FxM as the main romantic pairing. However, I am trying to break out of my box a bit and will play a FxF or MxM as a side pairing.

What I'm looking for in a partner:

♥Communication! I don't need to know every detail of your life, but I would appreciate it if you let me know if you're bored, struggling with writer's block, or simply too busy in real life to reply.

♥Quality over quantity, but both are nice!

♥Someone who doesn't get scared off by walls of text.

♥A partner that is willing to help move the story along and isn't afraid to throw in their own ideas.

♥ Uses third person! I cannot use first person.

♥Someone comfortable with playing multiple characters!

I really don't ask a whole lot out of my partners, only that they have some patience to deal with my randomness and help contribute to the story.

Now, if you managed to get through this huge wall of text, thanks for reading! If you're still interested, the plots I am currently looking for will be posted on separate tabs, along with all the information you need to know for them.

[glow= #CCB3E2][/glow][glow= #CCB3E2]I don't know how you are so familiar to me—or why it feels less like I am getting to know you and more as though I am remembering who you are. How every smile, every whisper brings me closer to the impossible conclusion that I have known you before, I have loved you before—in another time, a different place, some other existence.~Lang Leav[/glow]

    History

No one knows what they are, but they call themselves soulmates.

They have been around since the Dark Ages, born to normal human parents, growing as normal human children. By all appearances, they are nothing out of the ordinary, at least until they find their mate. Their numbers started out small with only a hundred couples spread throughout the world. Finding their mate was difficult, and many died long before they found their other half. A few survived, finding their counterpart only to discover that along with their mate came immortality and superhuman powers that could not be explained. Most of the couples decided to blend in with the rest of mankind, using their powers and the knowledge gained through their extended lives to improve the world around them. Others decided to try cause havoc, using their abilities to turn the world to their advantage.

For a time, they were undiscovered, living amongst humans but unknown to them. That began to change as their numbers grew, and those who wished to gain control of the humans began to stir up trouble again. The start of the nineteenth century marked the beginning of the cleansing within their own ranks. The two sides split into factions; The Malcontent and The Docile. Believing themselves to be the more powerful, The Malcontent began to eliminate The Docile. With no other options, The Docile enlisted the humans to aide them, believing that the threat of The Malcontent would prevent the humans from turning on them. However, the more the human's learned about the Soulmates, the more envious they became of their powers and soon both factions were being hunted down.

At the dawn of the twentieth century, the Soulmates of both factions went into hiding, believing that the humans would believe they were extinct. What they didn't know was that the humans were studying them, learning what little they could about the Soulmates powers. They discovered that the gene, dormant inside humans, was passed down when two carriers reproduced. The Soulmate would not exhibit any powers at all if they did not find their other half. They grew and aged at the same pace as humans, were susceptible to all human illnesses and just as vulnerable as a human. It was only when they were joined by their mate that their powers and abilities began to manifest. Soon they began to track down the carriers of the gene, waiting until they had children and taking the children out before they could reach the age of eighteen.

With the advancement of technology, the Soulmates found ways to combat the attempts of humans to wipe them out. They infiltrated hospitals, switching records, test results, and at times, infants when it was necessary. They would monitor the babies as they aged, only approaching to recruit them once they finally met their mate. It became a race to get the fledgling Soulmate before the other faction.
    Soulmate Rules

-All Soulmates have superhuman strength, speed, and healing once they have met their mate and only if they remain close to their mate. The further they get from their mate, the weaker they become.

-Soulmates are immortal. They do not get sick and will not die of old age, but they can be killed. It becomes easier to kill a Soulmate if they are away from their mate. If one mate dies, the other dies immediately afterward.

-Soulmates have three different types of abilities. One elemental, one psychic/telekinetic, and one physical. The abilities vary from soulmate to soulmate.

-With the elemental abilities, the Soulmate cannot create the element, only control and manipulate them.

-No Soulmate has the ability to resurrect or bring someone back from the dead.

-The longer Soulmates are together, the stronger they are.

-Soulmates cannot detect their mate until after their 18th birthday.

-The stronger the attraction between Soulmates, the stronger the abilities.

-Once a Soulmate meets their mate, there is no one else that will get their attention. They are unable to cheat on their mate and will feel disgusted if anyone else tries to touch them.

-Soulmates, in general, cannot procreate. However, there are a few exceptions to this.

-Once a Soulmate finds their mate, it is not love at first sight. They feel connected to one another, along with infatuation and lust, but not love.

-There is only one mate per Soulmate.

    Plot

If it wasn't for bad luck, Amanda Perry would have none at all. She's late on her rent and most of her bills. Her boss is a creep. And to make matters worse, she's on the verge of getting forced out of school. Nothing in her life seemed to be going right, no matter how hard she works. To cheer her up, her friends decide to take her out for a night on the town, convincing her that for one night she should forget about her stress and enjoy herself. She goes along with it, expecting the evening to end with her going home early and trying to catch up on her schoolwork. What she doesn't expect is to meet a guy, and she certainly couldn't have predicted that they'd hit it off.

They spent the night together, both of enchanted with one another and feeling as if they'd known each other all of their lives. As the night ends, they part ways, but not without assurances that they would see each other again.

Waking up the following morning, everything feels different, although she can't quite put her finger on it. She assumes it's the excitement of a crush, the exhilarating rush that comes along with the promise of a possible relationship, and when the new man in her life admits to the same curious changes, they brush it off as nothing significant. It's not until the FBI storms into Amanda's apartment while the two are having dinner together that they realize there is far more to the changes in their lives than romance. Not only are they now targets of a secret government organization hellbent on turning them into lab rats, but they are caught in a battle between factions, both seeking to claim the new couple.

  • Return of a Princess
    19f463180bb93a82ee12e5ec7aeaed7d63e43ed5_hq.jpg

    Setting: Modern Fantasy
    Character: Jocelyn Turner

Once upon a time, when elves, fairies, and dragons were not simply a figment of human imagination, there were two elven kingdoms; Windmorrow and Embervance. The elves of Windmorrow have always been beings of magic and telekinetic powers. The elves of Embervance possess these abilities as well, but through the years their magic has begun to fade and their powers weakened. Their focus became on physical prowess instead, and soon it became that only those of the royal family inherited the ability to use magic.

For centuries the elves and other races lived in harmony with humans, but as man became more reliant on technology and began to lose their belief in magic, their tolerance of the mythical beings began to decrease. And so the elves decided that it was best to seal their world away from the human world and allow themselves to fade into legend.

Another century passed, and for a while everything was peaceful. The elves of Windmorrow protected the only portal into the human world and nothing was thought much about it. At least not until the elves of Embervance began to grow ambitious. They were no longer content to be simply myths in the human world and wanted to show mankind the true power that elves possessed. The elves of Windmorrow refused, and the two kingdoms who were once at peace with each other broke out into a war that lasted for fifty years. Windmorrow won, although just barely. They possess magic, but their strength and numbers were nothing compared to Embervance. To maintain the peace it was decided that princess Eslaria of Windmorrow would wed the king of Embervance, and their marriage would unite the two kingdoms once again.

Shortly after their wedding, Eslaria's parents were murdered, and she was crowned the queen of Windmorrow. It was during this time that King Ruvel began to show his true colors, and his wife realized how cruel and heartless her husband truly was. He brutalized her in every possible way, trying to force her into handing over her control of the portal to him. He would have succeeded had Eslaria not been rescued before he could cause her any true harm, saved by her guardian who could no longer sit back and watch his charge be abused by the very man who was supposed to love her.

Whisked back to Windmorrow and out of the reach of the king, Eslaria confided in her guardian that she was pregnant with the king's child, a child who would not only possess all of the strength of both bloodlines but would be the sole heir to the crown of both Kingdoms. There was a great deal of fear of what would happen if the king discovered the news, and so the pregnancy was hidden away until it could be hidden no more. By that time there was a plan put in place to protect the child upon their birth, and keep them out of the hands of their father.

The time came for Eslaria to give birth, and the queen did the one thing she vowed she would never do. Using the portal along with her healer, she delivered her daughter in the human world and quickly placed an enchantment upon her that would disguise her as a human until she reached the age of eighteen. All that was left to do was to switch the elven infant with a human child to be raised in the human world, and the queen was certain the king would never find her.

The switch went smoothly, and for sixteen years the princess grew up in a rather dysfunctional family, raised by her aunt after her surrogate mother tried to kill her as a child. Jocelyn grew up assuming that she was a somewhat normal, teenage girl who was struggling to figure out her place in the world and simply trying to make it through high school without losing her sanity in the process. However, she always felt out of place. Even in her own home, she felt as if she didn't quite belong. She assumed it was because she wasn't like the other kids in her school. She hated fast food, loved to sit outdoors, and had a strange talent for drawing things that would happen in the future. She would never have guessed that she wasn't a human at all, or that a war was about to break out between her parents, and she was the key factor in deciding who would win.

Now, just shy of her eighteenth birthday, it is time for Jocelyn to return to her rightful home. The queen has sent a guardian, a member of an elite military group who is trained from birth to protect the royalty and nobility of Windmorrow. The Guardian selected is special though; one of the most powerful elves to ever exist within Windmorrow. He has been trained all of his life for the sole purpose of protecting the princess and is now being sent off to the human world to begin his duty. The problem is, he must first gain her trust and explain to her who she really is.

  • Rise of the Vampire Queen

    Vampires

    Hierarchy:
-Queen: The queen is the ruler of all vampires. She is the only vampire that can give birth and the only one that can control all vampires. Queens are born, not turned, and they will only give birth to females. If the queen is killed without a princess to take her place, every vampire will die along with her.

*King: The king is the mate of the queen. Only when the queen takes him as her mate can he impregnate her. His position of power is a symbolic one and it is only the respect of the populace that gives him any control. If the queen dies before the princess is old enough to take power, the king maintains power. However, once the princess becomes old enough to rule, he is stripped of all his power.

*Princess: The princess is the heir to Queen, and only receives the powers of a queen when her mother dies and once she is frozen into her immortality after a full century of life.

    Weaknesses:
    *Sunlight
    *Fire
    *Silver

    Abilities:
*Superhuman strength and speed (The older they are, the stronger and faster they become)
    *Flying
    *Mind Control (Only humans)
    *Immune to disease
*Superior hearing and sense of smell (Not as strong as a Lycan's)
    *Advanced Healing
    Lycan

    Hierarchy:

    * King: The king is usually the most powerful of the clans. The king can be challenged at any time by any opponent who believes he is stronger than the current king. The challenge is to the death. If the challenger wins, he becomes king, and more often than not, eliminates the former king's family once he takes power.

    * Queen: The queen is simply there to produce heirs. She has no authority and no control.

    * Generals: The generals are the strongest lycan of each clan and usually the pack leader, unless they decide otherwise. They control their pacts, and enforce the laws of the king within their clan.

    Weaknesses:

    * Silver
    * Fire
    *Wolfsbane
    *Lunar Eclipse

    Abilities:

    Plot

    *This is a Modern-Fantasy setting*
No one knows how the war began. For centuries the two races had lived together in relative peace, both avoiding humans as much as possible and trying to survive without being discovered. Somewhere along the line animosities began to grow between the vampires and lycan, some believed it was the vampires and their ever increasing numbers to blame, while others point the finger at the lycan and their disgust for how the vampires lived as the cause of the strife between the two. Whatever the cause, the result was an all-out gruesome war, one that lasted for over a century with high casualties among both races.

The war ended with a strategic move by the lycan king. During the daytime hours, the lycan general along with his most trusted men crept into the castle of the vampire's royal family and staked the king and queen, leaving the vampires completely unorganized and scattering to pick up the pieces left behind. Before the lycans could retreat, the general came upon the last remaining member of the royal family, the infant princess. Unable to kill a child, the general came up with an idea. He would take the infant along with him, raise her among the lycan, and teach her to feed without killing. The lycan king was against it, but when the general threatened to leave, he reluctantly agreed.

True to his word, the general raised the princess, feeding the blood his kills each day and showing her that vampires and lycan could live in peace. At a century old and frozen into her immortality, the general was supposed to explain her importance and prepare to return her back to her people, but a problem arose; his beast has chosen her as his one true mate. Twelve years have passed now, and the lycan king is getting anxious to return the princess back to the vampires, who are beginning to grow restless without a king or queen to lead them. Can he let her go? Or will he crack under the pressure of his beast and take her as his mate without telling her the truth of her identity?

    20a1094de32a56726538e600ed121ec6.jpg

They were childhood sweethearts, their relationship starting in middle school during their angsty pre-teen years and continuing on through high school. To the outside world, they were the perfect couple. Their families grew close during the course of their relationship, both sets of parents convinced that the two would grow up, marry, and settle down to raise a family. The hitch in everyone's plan came when Kaylee was accepted to college while her boyfriend was not. He kept tight-lipped about his plans for the future, keeping everything hidden from everyone, including Kaylee. Their families thought he would move with her after graduation, but when he vanished without a word the day after receiving his diploma, no one knew what to say.

His departure from her life left Kaylee heartbroken, but no less determined to head off to college to prepare for her own future. Oddly enough, it wasn't her boyfriend who accompanied her, but her boyfriend's older brother who decided that he would try to make up for the damage his younger brother caused. The two moved in together, both attending classes and working to support themselves. While they grew closer, they did not realize that the one person who had brought them together was off making a name for himself, one that did not connect him to the past that he left behind.

Four years pass and in that time Kaylee's feelings for her first love never truly faded, but she has moved on to find the life she always wanted with his older brother. Shortly before graduating from college, he proposes to her, and Kaylee by all appearances happily says yes. The two plan to move back to their hometown to begin preparing for their wedding and the future that they've planned with one another.

However, fate has a way of destroying the best-laid plans. Shortly after the two settle in back home, the prodigal brother returns. He is devastated to learn that his former love has moved on, and not with just anyone. Betrayed by the woman he'd loved most of his life and his only sibling, he tries to move on as well, finding comfort in the arms of any woman he can find, but it's never enough to erase his memories of the life he'd dreamed of with Kaylee at his side. Now he has a choice to make. Does he go back into the world and hope to find someone who can replace his first love in his heart? Or does he stay and try to convince her to give him another chance, while hurting his only brother?

Because the image is not exactly SFW I'm posting Kaylee's CS here.

History:
The middle child of Evelyn and Randal Trenton, Kaylee was always looking for ways to get attention. She was always the class clown, disrupting her teachers with cheesy jokes and getting into trouble for the little pranks she played on her classmates. There wasn't a moment that she wasn't trying to stir up trouble in a way to make everyone around her laugh.

It wasn't until middle school that Kaylee began to settle down, much in part to meeting the boy she believed was the love of her life. He had a way of balancing her out and keeping her grounded when her mischievous nature took control, and the attention he gave her helped her deal with how often she was ignored at home.

When the two reached high school, Kaylee began to buckle down and focus on the future, one that she planned around her boyfriend. She had their life planned out, from college until retirement, all of it with her boyfriend beside her. She always shared her plans with him, and never once did he reject them, leaving Kaylee to believe he was on board with everything. When college acceptance letters finally came and Kaylee learned she would be heading across the country to attend college, she was confident that he would be there right beside her, despite the fact that no letters ever came his way.

Graduation finally came and went, one summer left to spend at home before she stepped into a promising new future. Excited with what lie in store for her, Kaylee didn't notice her boyfriend's absence right away. Within two days, her hopes for the future were dashed when she learned her boyfriend had run off in the dead of the night without a word to her or his own family. Letters eventually came to his family, telling them that he was alright and not to worry about him, but not a word was given to Kaylee who spent the last bit of her days of teenage freedom in a deep depression. Worried about her well-being and fearing that the loss of her childhood love would break her, her parents along with her ex's family came up with a plan to ensure that she managed to pull through her new life without being alone.

When fall finally arrived and it was time to head for college, Kaylee was surprised to learn that she would not be making the trip alone. Her ex's brother, agreeing with his parents and wanting to make up for his younger brother's mistake, transferred schools to stay with Kaylee, all parties hoping that having a familiar face with her would give her the nudge she needed to move on. What no one expected was how close she would become to her former love's older sibling, or that a relationship would blossom between the two.

Graduation announcements came, along with another announcement that shook both families. Kaylee had agreed to marry her ex's brother, and both were returning home to begin their new life where it all started. Now both families are planning the wedding they'd always imagined, and Kaylee finally feels as if she's moved on from her childhood love into a steady relationship with a man who truly loves her.

Katie's eyes shot open wide when he unexpectedly kissed her. Her hand slipped to the back of his head, keeping him there long enough to return it before he could move away. She stared at him as he pulled back, lips fixed in a smirk and her eyes narrowed into and amused gaze. "That's not playing dirty, Daniel. Neither of us would have clothes on right now if I was playing dirty." The fact that she was forcing herself to go slow only made her want him even more. At the rate she was going, she was going to need an ice bath by the end of the night.

His smug look tickled her to no end, a tiny giggle bubbling up in her throat as she looked over at him. "Are you sure you want to cook dinner? We could always skip straight to dessert." She teased, intentionally crossing her legs at the knees to get his attention. She probably shouldn't be teasing him while he was driving, but it was pretty difficult not to after the way he kissed her. "Come on, Daniel. Admit that the thought's been going through your head. Doesn't it feel just a tiny bit good not playing Mister Nice Guy?"

Piecing together what Kaylee had told her with what she could see about where and how he'd grown up, Katie didn't think he had much of a wild side in him, and that was fine with her. But she could also see that a part of him didn't want to be seen as the one with no sense of adventure. "I bet you have a lot of dirty thoughts buzzing around in that head of yours. How long have you been holding them back?" Cocking her head, she mulled it over, trying to figure out what she could about his past romances besides Kaylee. "Hmmm. I'm going to say you were sixteen the first time you were serious with a girl, so what, ten years you've been holding yourself back?" Shaking her head she let out an exaggerated sigh. "Such a shame. You've been with the wrong girls, Daniel."

Five years ago, almost to the day, Kaylee had been headed for the West coast, her little car filled to the brim with all of her personal possessions and the image of her family waving her off in the rearview mirror. She'd been so proud of herself for holding in her tears until she reached the city limits, but once she'd pushed her car past the line she'd bawled like a baby. It was her second heartbreak in the span of three month, the first Kaylee refused to think about, and to this day never spoke of. She could see the questions in the eyes of her family every day those long three months from the moment her heart had been ripped to pieces until the day she packed up her care to head off to college. 'I'm not going to think about that now. That was five years ago. It's over and done with, and nothing can change it.'

Shaking her head to clear away her reverie, Kaylee glanced behind her at the large yellow moving truck, a tiny grin spreading across her lips as she waved to the driver cheerfully. Five years wasn't a long time, but a lot could and had changed for her in that time. She was no longer the lost little girl who'd driven away from Winston, South Carolina, nervous, wary and questioning her every decision. She was a grown woman now, not quite as insecure, and certainly not as emotionally fragile as she'd been back then; she had the man in the moving truck to thank for that. Exactly where she'd be if it weren't for him, that she didn't know, but she knew that she would have never made it through her first year of college if he hadn't been there.

Daniel had never been on her radar at all. Living in the same little town, it was impossible for her not to know him. However, the fact that she'd dated his younger brother for years cast him in an entirely different light. Daniel had simply been there, not a person of interest or anyone she would have considered becoming romantically entangled with. Why he'd decided to leave school and transfer to the college she was attending, she never found out, but she thanked whatever convinced him to do it every single day. Of course, they hadn't started off on the right foot. Kaylee's emotional state refused to allow her to see Daniel as anything other than a babysitter watching over her to ensure she didn't screw up her life in her misery. It took months for her to finally warm up to him enough to treat him as anything more than a nuisance and a year and a half later for her to even consider dating him. The thought was strange to her at first, dating her ex-boyfriend's older brother. If Daniel had any qualms about it, he never showed it. Either way, things had worked out in the end. Now they were heading back to the place where their stories began, both ready to start a new chapter in their lives the same way they'd been for the past three years; together.

Glancing at the ring on her right hand, Kaylee grinned to herself, a sense of warmth flooding her chest at the thought of what life would be like now that they were both home. When she broke the news of their engagement, her mother had yelled out in excitement, gushing about wedding plans and all the things that they would have to do when she returned home. The only somber moment was the reminder that her father wouldn't be there to walk her down the aisle. It hurt, but it wasn't enough to completely shatter the moment.

They were one step closer to those wedding plans now that they'd returned. They'd managed to scrape up enough to buy a small house a few blocks away from both of their parents, nothing fancy, but it was nice enough to start a family in when the time came, with a nice big backyard for a dog that Kaylee insisted she wanted to adopt once they settled. In a week's time, she would start her new job at the town's veterinary clinic. No, it wasn't her dream job of actually being a veterinarian, but she would get there eventually. She was still young enough to go back to school later on, but for now, she wanted to focus on starting her life with Daniel.

It didn't take long for Kaylee to navigate her car to their new house. Five years might have passed since the last time she'd stepped foot in Winston, but she could remember each and every road as if she'd never left. Not much had changed in the little town since she'd last seen it. There was a new McDonald's, and a few recently built houses, but everything else remained the same. The municipal building was still the center of the town square, along with the most hideous statue of the town's founder. There were two gas stations, both of which had been remodeled in her absence, and a grocery store owned by one of her father's closest friends and employing probably every high school junior and senior in town. She could probably spit across the entire town if she wanted to. But it was home, and the sense of familiarity was certainly welcomed. However, with that sense came a flood of memories, memories that she would gladly shut out of her mind if she could.

She and Daniel didn't have a history in Winston. They'd known each other, but back then he had been her boyfriend's older brother. Around every corner was the ghost of her ex. She could see him everywhere she looked, trapped in the body of the eighteen year old boy who'd walked away from her without looking back. 'No. No. I'm not thinking about him.'

Kaylee finally came to a stop in front of their house, her foot pressing down on the brakes long enough to throw the gear shift to park and yank the key out of the ignition. Leaving the driveway open for Daniel to pull the truck into, Kaylee climbed out of the car, giving her limbs a long stretch. Leaning back against the car, she glanced around the tidy little street, naming the families that had lived there when she was younger, and wondering if anything had changed. As eager as she was to re-explore her old stomping grounds, there was a truckload of things that needed unpacking, along with family members to drop in on to announce their arrival.

Pushing herself from the car, Kaylee waited for Daniel to park the truck and get out, grinning cheerfully at him once he stepped from the cabin. "So…here we are. Is it me, or does it feel weird being here? It's almost like we never left."

  • Introduction and Rules:

Hello, I am Scripturient. I kind of slacked off and let all of my old rps die. I currently only have one rp going, but I'm looking to pick up one more. I will start this off by saying that this month is going to be hectic for me toward the end of the month, so replies will be scarce. After that though, I should be able to reply a bit faster.

I will not control your characters unless I ask you directly. Please, for the love of my sanity, do not try to control mine! I usually have an idea of what I want to do with characters before I post, and having someone take them overthrows me all out of whack. If you need to do something with my character, all you need to do is ask, the worst I can do is say no. (Bolded for: reasons.)

***Special Note*** I would LOVE to find a partner that enjoys coming up with playlists for roleplays. I had a partner on another site who did this and it was fun.

I currently have 2 open RP slots, with a third pending.

  • Soulmates
    3Dr15.gif

    Weaknesses:

    * Silver
    * Fire
    *Wolfsbane
    *Lunar Eclipse

    Abilities:

    *Advanced Healing
    *Superior hearing and smell
*Superhuman strength and speed (Stronger than vampires, but not faster)
    *Nightvision
    *Shapeshifting

    Second Fall of Gilead

    Character: Annasea Chambers

    Setting: Post-Canon Mid-World

    Counterpart: Roland's Great-grandson

    Foe: Crimson King

Canon Ending Scenario: Roland reawakens back in time to continue his journey once again, this time fully aware of his previous journeys and the mistakes he made in the past. He continues on following the man in black through the desert, but this time rather than letting Jake fall, he saves him. (After all, he already knows what the man's going to say anyway.) This chain of events sets the ka-tet on a new, yet familiar path. The lives lost along the way are spared, Susannah never becomes pregnant with Mordred, and the ka-tet reaches the tower as a whole. This time, however, they manage to banish the Crimson King from the tower and upon reaching the door sent back to Gilead together to rebuild the city as it had been before its fall.

The ka-tet manage to restore Gilead to part of its former glory with a new line of gunslingers pulled from all corners of Mid-World. Eddie, Susannah, and Jake all start their own families which remain close-knit throughout the years. Each generation brings a new set of aspiring gunslingers who demonstrate the same talents and skills of their kin.

Plot: It takes the Ka-tet several decades to begin recruiting more gunslingers, as well as rebuilding Gilead to its former glory. Eddie and Susannah have several children during their time there, and eventually Jake finds himself married to female gunslinger to begin raising his own family. Roland never truly got over the loss of his first love, but eventually has a child with a gilly, whom he raises as a Deschain rather than a bastard. The children of the ka-tet have children of their own and so on and so on, each generation producing a new line of gunslingers. The Dechain children, much like Roland himself, are proven adept with the gun and take over the task of training the future gunslingers with a few changes in the rules. Those who fail the 'trial of manhood' are not sent West, but are allowed to remain in Gilead, although they can never attempt to become gunslingers again.

Mid-World slowly begins to grow and expand, cities blossoming now that time is once again restored to the universe. Gunslingers begin to travel the roads again, doing as gunslingers do, and it is almost as if the stories of the ka-tet of nineteen are simply myths. The Crimson King is forgotten about, and everyone goes on about their lives.

The plot begins with the great-grandchildren of the original ka-tet. Roland's great-grandson is now in charge of training the future gunslingers. Like his great-grandfather, he has passed the trial of manhood at a young age, with a natural talent for the gun and a sharp intellect that makes him a natural gunslinger. Among the group of future gunslingers is a lone female, the great-granddaughter of Jake Chambers, who shows the same amount of potential as her great-grandfather. From the beginning, there is an attraction between the two, but because of their roles, they ignore it as much as possible, steering clear of each other in order to follow their chosen paths.

But ka has a mysterious way of working, and the citizens of Mid-World have forgotten all about a dangerous enemy who is still fuming over his ousting from the Tower. The Crimson King has been weakened, but he has not been defeated. With the assistance of a sorcerer, he has placed an enchantment on Mid-World, freezing it in time until he can discover a way to remove the banishment placed on him. Somehow only the original ka-tet's kin is untouched by the enchantment. (Mostly due to Roland's relationship to the Crimson King, and the ka-tet's exposure to Maerlyn's Rainbow.)

The citizens may be frozen, but minions of the Crimson King are not. Soon they're infesting Mid-World and various whens like a plague, using doorways to jump between worlds in order to cause chaos. With only one gunslinger and one soon-to-be, it is up to them to travel the path of their legendary relatives in order to find a way to restore time and put a stop to the Crimson King for good.
