Welcome to One on Ones In Character! This is where you post your in-character roleplay threads for your One on One roleplays that are not focused on sexual content. A rare sex scene in spoilers between two people in the same age group is accepted in this section but more than one to two posts and you should consider asking for it to be moved to the bedroom sections or a mod might message you to move it.

To instead post a roleplay with sexual themes, you should go to the Redstar Bedroom (for members 18+) or the Bluestar Bedroom (for members under 18).

If you're looking to join a roleplay, you should check out Partner Connections. Unless you have joined the roleplay or the roleplay is marked with the prefix "First Response" (and someone else has not already replied), please do not post in a roleplay's in-character thread!

Roleplay threads are archived after 60 days from the last post in either the IC or corresponding Out of Character thread. If you need a thread revived, you can use the Thread Moderation Request form to ask a mod to bring it back. You can also use this form to request deletion of a post or locking/unlocking a thread.

Threads by inactive, banned, or deleted members are also archived. If a thread owner's account goes inactive/banned or they self-delete, you cannot revive their roleplay or use their unique concepts/materials without permission.

PREFIXES
Thread prefixes are colorful tags displayed at the beginning of a thread title. They can be chosen when creating a thread and more than one can be applied. These prefixes show what a thread is for. You can also click on them from the thread listing to display all the threads with that prefix within that forum. Each section has its own prefixes, so make sure to check the info sticky to make sure you're picking the right prefixes and to learn what they mean!

FIRST RESPONSE
The poster of this thread will accept the first person to reply to this thread (in-character, of course) as their roleplay partner.

TAGS
Tags can be added to threads and used to help find and filter threads related to certain genres, themes, and more. You'll find the Tags line right under the text box when creating a thread. Existing threads can also be tagged; just above the first post you should see a line that starts with "Tags:" and has an edit button you can press.

You can find the full list of available content tags in this Resource, or ask for a new tag to be added in this thread in the Help Desk.

RESOURCES
Iwaku has a ton of useful resources to advise running a roleplay or make your roleplaying life easier. They're always worth a look at the very least!

There are a variety of useful guides in the Roleplay Skillbuilding area of our Creative Content section. You can check Roleplay Help for when you've got questions and can't find a good answer elsewhere.

If you want to generate a lot of hype, complicated BBCode can help grab attention. If you're not well-versed on using tricky codes, reach out to the BBCode Help thread for assistance and check the Coding Lab for tutorials.

If you like to use fancy colors but you're worried about how they might look on the different color backgrounds Iwaku offers, then look no further than Holmishire's Colour Guide for help in selecting shades that won't burn anyone's eyes.
