GENERAL
Name: Adrianna the Deft
Pronunciation: [ae-dree-AA-nuh]
Species: Halfling
Date of Birth: Summer - monthe 6
Zodiac: the Nymph
Age: 26
Place of Birth: Northlet, Arora, Orcosea
"The world's mean, honey. You don't gotta be mean yerself, but bein' gen'rous ain't doin' yah no favors."
APPEARANCE
Eye Color: Dull green
Hair Color: Sandy brown
Hair Style/Length: Curly hair spills down to touch her shoulders, full and generous, and it regularly holds itself up despite every effort to discourage it otherwise.
Height: 3'7"
Weight: 60 lbs
Body Type: Addy is for a halfling fairly narrow and thin, lacking much of any curve to her save for the characteristic full belly of her race.
Body Modifications/Accessories: N/A
Written Appearance: Adrianna is of an average height, tending toward the short, for a halfling, though her very exhuberant locks of hair push her up to 4 feet on more humid days. It's kept from falling into her face by a red band, tied in the back, across her forehead. A toned face house large green eyes, always curious and questioning, and despite her hardships in life, they reflect a humor that the upturn of her mouth communicates. Addy goes about barefoot, preferring the way it allows her to feel the running surface, her feet calloused from years of doing so. Tan leather breeches grip her narrow hips, a short cutless hanging from her right side and a pouch from her left. She wears a leather jacket of gray and red, it's shoulders reenforced by hardened leather as minimal protection.
PERSONALITY
Personality Traits: Adrianna is insatiably curious, oftentimes to the point of recklessness. A form of stubbornness, it has and likely will continue to get her into trouble. Yet she regularly finds her way out of it, her confidence, even if faked, convincing those that she runs afoul of that she either had reason to be present or that she was not one to be tangled with. Yet that confidence hides a distrust of people that she can't shake. After all, her own family disappeared, and though she repeatedly tells herself that there is a straightforward answer for it, Addy can't help but think the worst. This has seeped into her interactions with all others save Rhiannon, despite a firm desperation to find a friend worth her time.
Strengths: Addy is a skilled thief, long years of being involved in such work serving her well in such work as pickpocketing and breaking and entering. To similar effect, she has developed a fairly decent sense of direction, being able to find her way even among unfamiliar streets by noting the general flow of the city and its streets and buildings. Of course, such wanderings lead her to trouble, so she is a capable street brawler, having found that anything is acceptable, up to and including fighting dirty, something that her natural dexterity encourages.
Weaknesses: Having left her family at a relatively young age, Adrianna is relatively uneducated, her schooling abandoned in favor of mere survival on her own. Yet, she is at further disadvantage than other similar street rats: she is Unattuned, and where other's magic plays specific and regular roles in most lives, hers is utterly lacking. Because of this, in addition to many other factors, Addy is destitute, the little money she makes going to food and shelter. But even these she has to hide, as her lack of any real strength keeps her from ably defending them against determined antagonists.
Quirks: Because of a constantly changing environment chasing work and fleeing authorities, life has left her with a distinct and oftentimes difficult to comprehend accent, and Addy regularly used sayings and phrases from some locale that her present home does not.
MBPT: ENTP

HISTORY
Adrianne is the second child and first daughter of a fisherman and his young wife, Adrianna grew up helping support the family. Work was plentiful; money was not. So schooling was forgone in favor of labor, and young Adrianne was all too happy to help in any way she could, all too aware of the limitations her Unattunement brought her. But she was also filled with an insatiable curiosity, and the young girl would always seek and ask for the reason for her difference from her family. So in her 14th year, her parents contracted a Pixy, Rhiannon, one of the small group that lingered about their home, to lead her to keep Adrianna safe and sent their daughter to the Northwood for answers. But though she asked all she came across concerning her lack of Attunement, none could answer her with any amount of certainly. Dissatisfied and unable to sate her curiosity, the girl headed home. Yet she was not to see her family again. They were gone, leaving their house empty and unattended and their belongings picked through by robbers and scavengers. Distraught, she gathered what supplies she could and struck out on her own. And Rhiannon, for reasons unknown to the halfling, accompanied her. In the years since, Adrianna has become a talented and streetwise vagabond, taking what employment she could get, and always finding comfort in the occasional job aboard a ship, reminding her as it did of home. Her one companion has through these long years been Rhiannon, and a strong friendship has formed, built as it has been on trust, respect, and the occasional vague mutual annoyance.
WRITING SAMPLE
"Told yah I could. Darn goat sniffers didn't know what to make of it."
Adrianna examined the prize in her hand, admiring the way it glinted in the firelight, almost expanding the red cast to mirror that of brilliant sunlight. Small but expertly and carefully crafted, the sunstone was a beautiful thing. It was also one of a kind, and fencing it would be nigh impossible. At least, in their present location. Leaning back in his chair, Cid scowled.
"It'll attract too much attention. Dammit, Anna. When I told you not to, it was because we'd have no way of getting rid of the thing! Not because I doubted you could do it!"
"I did, though."
"I know!" The man sighed, a long line of smoke filtering out from between clenched teeth. A small pipe had been shoved into the corner of his mouth, and he muttered through it grumpily. "Now I've got to find a courier to take it out of city, preferably to a whole different island, in order to find a buyer without also finding heat! Anna, any funds the stone brings us will be offset by the cost of selling it discretely!"
"Yeah, I wouldn't know about all that." The halfling glanced up to the corner of the ceiling. A small blue green shimmer twinkled there, more an effect of the shadow on Rhiannon's natural tone than any kind of illusionary magic. The Pixy hovered impatiently, arms crossed. She'd not agreed with Addy taking even temporary employment with the man, nor with the way his particular line of work and reputation in it seemed to encourage her friend's already too eager mischievousness. And it had almost gotten Addy into trouble more than once. But as Addy always put it, Almost only counts in horseshoes. Whatever that meant.
Cid cleared his throat, drawing the young thief's attention. She shrugged, clearly only marginally interested.
"Look, I can look fer summat 'round here to sell it. I'll turn it about faster than a duck on a June bug."
"Uh, you do that." Cid ground his teeth together and waved her off dismissingly. "And please make sure you consider your targets more carefully next time."
Adrianna cast him a wink before turning and sauntering out of his hidden quarters, the flash of blue green that followed signaling her Pixy friend's exit as well.
"No promises, sugar."[/b]
