[fieldbox=Morathi Arvad, green, solid, 6, book antiqua]The galaxy aches with the echoes of war.

Ten years ago, the Namu’Zai came into prominence as an open enemy of the Republic. At first, they were a small coalition in the Galactic Senate, comprised primarily of worlds from the Mid Rim and the Outer Rim, but two years before what became known as the War of Republics, the members of the coalition began to express their dissatisfaction. The Republic, so they and their constituents believed, were far to lax in their enforcement of the law, allowing for the rampant expansion in the operations of the Huttese cartels and various black markets and criminal organizations while they pursued the ghosts of the long-dead Sith and their fallen empire, as well as other phantasmic enemies that had long rested. With this, the Republic fractured.

Worlds began to declare themselves independent from the Republic’s laws and authority, and many of these worlds began to form small, loose interplanetary governments of their own. Sensing the weakness that threatened to plunge the galaxy into great chaos, the Jedi High Council on Coruscant attempted to reconcile the differences through a series concentrated and desperate diplomatic endeavors. But, the Jedi Order soon found itself on the side of the Republic and unable to remain impartial in and distance themselves from the matter at hand after many Jedi Master were killed in cold blood by some of the minor interplanetary alliances.

The Namu’Zai, however, had welcomed the Jedi, and even wished to grant them a position of power in their new democracy. Most of the Jedi, however, had refused this great offer of power, which- in turn- attracted the attention of many Dark Jedi (those who applied the Jedi philosophy of teaching to the Dark Side of the Force, or simply those who utilized the Dark Side and chose not to follow the way of the Sith) in addition to member ofs various other orders that used the Force. All the same, this new order of Force became known as the Namu’Kar, and they agreed on this teaching: the Force controls all and guides all, meaning that all that happens is meant to be, and that any skill should be taught unfettered when a student displays the strength to learn. This philosophy of unrestricted training and of unlimited possibility and potential was greatly worrying to the Jedi, for even the Sith exercised some restraint in the teaching of their apprentices.

The members of the Namu’Kar were allowed to take any stance on the Force that they wished and had little limits placed upon them- namely to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, to remain sober in public, and to generally act in moderation. Their training varied greatly depending on their teachers and their backgrounds, but it benefited greatly from the mixture of philosophies that gave birth to its rise. Many who were denied by the Jedi due to their age flocked to the Namu’Kar, and soon enough the order had obtained members in the thousands in less than a standard year. Of course, their training was rather accelerated, but all their members underwent trials by fire to ensure their capabilities.

However, in the end, the principle battles were between the Jedi and the Namu’Kar alongside those fought by the Republic and the Namu’Zai. Despite any and all there efforts, there could be no peace brokered between the two sides, and for ten bloody and abhorrent years these factions made war against one another. There could be no room for error, for each battle brought more dire villains and dashing heroes into the fray and every massacre wrought forth new martyrs to forward the conflicting creeds. Prisoners on both sides were tortured or executed as the war grew more violent, and some Jedi even found themselves severed form the Force when they refused to embrace the teachings of the Namu’Kar.

On all sides, the war was a terrible, irreconcilable thing.

The war itself only ended when the Republic was force to bombard the Namu’Zai government’s capital on the planet Haidoral Prime from orbit, forcing the surviving government officials to surrender and admit defeat by signing the Primus Treaty, dissolving the Namu’Zai officially and marking all territory it had controlled as being under Republic authority as they entered a postbellum reconstruction period. Meanwhile, by order of the Senate, the Jedi Order was forced to execute each member of the Namu’Kar they captured that refused to accept strict retraining or a lifetime imprisonment on charges of treason, giving only the exception of small children.

And so, the Republic found itself recovering from the brink of disaster while the Jedi had been forced to fight to near-extinction. The Senate demanded that the Jedi Council investigate some of the other orders who used the Force and determine their loyalty to the Republic- should they waver, they would be put under strict monitoring. The Baran Do, the Jal Shey, the Matukai, and the Zeison Sha were all put under intense scrutiny, and some of the lesser known orders even more so, although they all proved loyal to the Republic. Despite this, many of them would be monitored by Republic soldiers for the next few years to come.

And, in their mad dash to bolster the Order’s ranks, a Jedi team soon found themselves on Kashyyyk, a favored location for exiled Jedi. As they approached, two figures sat in a meditative stance on the forest floor, a small pond before them as the taller of the two figured gave a sharp exhale after shuddering slightly, looking to the other figure as he soon spoke with a sage urgency.

Their conversation was brief, as they needed to act with the utmost haste. The pair made their way into an odd home, a comfortable place made from the scrap and remnants from fallen escape pods that landed onto the jungle floor. Moving to a secret compartment, the old man pulled a pair of old Jedi robes, and gave them to the younger who then drew a curtain and changed into then before they each grabbed a backpack and a duffel bag- filling them quickly with their belongings before the old man went to the door as two figures came into sight- an armored Jedi and some sort of bounty hunter. After the door to their odd little home was opened, the conversation seemed like it might erupt into violence as the elder exile’s fingers twitched over his lightsaber.

The exchange was tense, terse, taciturn. Some of the wildlife in the jungle turned their attention to the conversation before they skittered about their own way as some passing eyes watched from the trees. To the two exiles (although they were now formally exiles no more), the silence that surrounded them was utterly deafening as they slowly left the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk, passing through a Wookie village on the way that marked some odd and uncomfortable solemnity. With each step he took, the younger of the two felt the humming of life in the Force fade as he entered an odd ship- a Fortitude-class shuttle. He had not been in one of these giant metal monsters since the pair crash-landed on Kashyyyk.

As soon as this ship mads its way to the Thranta-class corvette in orbit, the two former exiles were then taken before various Republic officers and Jedi to be processed and confirmed as citizens of the Republic. “Carn Arvad,” the official spoke up as the two passengers stood silently before the various authorities before them. “...a former Jedi Knight, entered into self-imposed exile with one Illana Karani. Three children, two grandchildren. Surviving: one Morathi Arvad.” The speaking Republic clerk the coldly and quickly turned his attention to the white-haired boy, the man’s slim, gaunt figure compliment his raspy voice as he was the epitome of a lifelong desk jockey. “Both registered as members of the Mandalorian Clan Ordo though lineage. Originally believed to have died in the crash-landing of the merchant ship The Intrigue on the planet Kashyyyk. Provided you accept the terms of your recall by the Jedi Order, you will be granted a full pardon by the Republic for any crimes you may have permitted during your exile and have your citizenship reaffirmed.”

The old man spoke for the both of them after hearing the terms of the recall, accepting the offer. Carn would go through some retraining and then have his rank as a Jedi Knight restoring while his grandson would begin training into the Jedi Order.

The old man and his grandson would be separated into groups based on their age, by groups of for each age five or older (five to nine, ten to fourteen, fifteen to nineteen, and twenty to twenty-four), with anyone over twenty-five being part of their own group. With some nervousness, the younger of the two slowly began to integrate himself with the other initiates in his age group, although there would little time before the ship approached its destination: Coruscant. The Jedi initiates and former Jedi Knights would be placed into different shuttles, all of which would land at a spaceport to the south of the Jedi Temple that rose ever so prominently on the horizon. There would be some more initiates and bounty hunters on the landing platform, as well as one Jedi with a hood drawn standing before the rest.

The initiates and former knights were shepherded out by the Jedi, Republic soldiers, and mercenaries as they were divided once again by their age categories and experience levels. The Jedi in front then removed his hood, revealing himself to be a Kel Dor as he spoke up with a great sagacity in his voice.

“Greetings, all you who come recalled or as new initiates to the Order. I am Ori Karan, the Jedi Master who will be responsible for your training as well as one of the masters of the Jedi Council. Should there be anything you need, you can confide in me. Now, each group shall be taken to the Temple, where you will be assigned to your rooms and be given a tour of your training areas. These soldiers, mercenaries, and Jedi Knights will be watching over from this moment forward until you are named Jedi Knights. Use this time to meet your fellow initiates, and begin to bond with one another as you prepare to walk the path of the Jedi.”

With this said and done, the initiate moved a hand to the cortosis vibrosword on his belt, holding it in place as his backpack rested on his back atop the robes his grandfather had recently given him and his duffel rester over the other shoulder. In total, the initiate’s age group was the third-to-last to get on the trains. Morathi took a simple seat in the corner after storing his equipment, sitting next to a Zabrak initiate. A bit stunted socially, Mortathi cleared his throat after a moment or two, politely offering his hand to the Iridonian before speaking up. “My name’s Morathi, Morathi Arvad. What’s yours?”

[fieldbox=Aliscia Firelut, pink, solid]

Ali sat on the floor of the transport, her legs crossed, eyes closed, brows furrowed in concentration. The white bladed lightsabers with curved hilts, not currently activated, are floating just in front of her. While everyone else on this Republic ship was anxious, tense, excited, etc, Aliscia was calm. She was not bothered one bit by any of the hustle and bustle around her, nor was she bothered the cause of it. A voice came over the ships speakers informing everyone that they would be touching down on Coruscant momentarily. People around her began to move and prepare to disembark. She stayed in her meditative trance till she felt the ship touch down. The force flowing through her, she reached out and immersed herself in it. Sensing different emotions from those on the ship. Earlier in the journey, it seemed their was a fascination with her. Arkanian offshoots were rare after all. She was a unique species, and her choice of attire was equally unique. However, Ali remained unfazed.

As everyone disembarked, her eyes snapped open and her saber zipped to her open palms. She clipped them on her belt and followed the others off the ship. Republic soldiers, Jedi, and some bounty hunters were giving out instructions. They were grouping up by age it seemed. Aliscia sauntered over to where the older exiles were grouped and crossed her arms across her chest. She looked around, at both the Initiates and former knights, then at the planet wide city itself. It had been a couple years since she was last here. It did not hold very many positive memories the last time she was here. Feelings of betrayal, anger, and sadness rose in her but she quickly quelled them. Not because of the code, oh force no, but because she didn't want to deal with it. The current code and methods of the order don't mean a kriffing thing to Aliscia. She made it perfectly clear to the Master Jedi that approached her.

It seemed the war had forced the Jedi to take drastic measures. Aliscia was surprised at first, when a bounty hunter and Jedi showed up outside her hut on some nondescript outer rim planet. The council knew her reasons for leaving, so they must be desperate. The first thing she had told the recruiters, was that she had no intention of returning to live by the same code she had forsaken. Ali began to train, meditate, and study in the realms of the original Jedi code. Emotions, relationships, and the maelstrom that life created made someone stronger. Of such, Ali was convinced. She provided a few non negotiable points: 1. Her current attire would be her alternate to Jedi robes, tunics, and the like. 2. She would live by the original Jedi code, not the current code that made the Jedi weak. 3. She keeps her lightsabers as is. If the council could not make those exceptions, they could go Kriff themselves in another war that would inevitably wipe them out.

To her surprise, the Jedi agreed with her requests. She made the agreement to follow all other regulations and stipulations that are required of a Jedi. After a short time packing her minimal belongings, she boarded the shuttle which took her to the Republic ship.

Now here she was, back on Coruscant, ready to be inducted into the Jedi order....again. She never would have guessed the force would lead her back here. Kriff it all.....

To the Zabrak, Sever, the current day just felt like any other. He'd made a few 'deliveries' here and there earlier in the day, a few wise guys tried to shake him down and he gave the usual bum a few credits just so he could hear someone saying thank you to him. Now he was just trying to unwind with a few drinks in one of the countless shady bars down here in the underworld of Corusant. This particular one being graced with the title of 'The Quiet Corner.' It was a place for people who preferred less commotion when they drank. The place didn't even have a band. Instead it just had some low non lyrical music playing in the background, just enough so that everyone couldn't hear everyone's conversations without even trying to listen in.

The Zabrak had his hood up and was sitting up at the bar on one of the many stools which currently were vacant as most of the usual patrons preferred the booths and tables. His hoodie was a dark blue while his skin was more of a dark beige with bluish green tattoo markings. The bartender was a dark gray skinned Toydarian by the name of Beb. He was a greedy bastard like most Toydarians but Sever enjoyed his company. Despite being all business most of the time the two shared a mutual understanding. Occasionally the young Zabrak would deal with any loud troublemakers who strolled into the establishment and Beb would repay him with a free drink here and there.

"Hey Beb, one more Loosener on the rocks and I'll get going."

"Alright, but this is your last one till some more idiots start causing trouble in my bar again."

"Yer the best, Beb."

The bar had emptied some by the time Rhett arrived. A hole in the wall with what appeared to be a few loyal patrons, drunk judging by the slump of their posture, along with one weary barkeep and more empty booths than actual drink. Had Rhett been a weaker man, he'd have taken a break at one of the booths, and ordered something hot enough to scorch his tongue. But Rhett's will held firm, and so too did his luck: not far from the entrance he spotted the target of this hells-damned search perched on a stool in front of the 'tender, as if nothing at all could ruin his day.

Well. Rhett would be pleased to show him otherwise. He strolled up to the zabrak's side following a brief check with the republic's bounty to make sure this was, in fact, the right one, and sat himself down in the stool to the man's right. He lay his palm flat against the counter, fingers splayed, and leaned forward.

"Hakras, Sever. You're a tough bastard to track down."

Not even a minute had passed after Sever received his final drink, a rather battle ready looking man seemed to sit beside him. Thankfully he kept his cool as Beb had given the young zabrak a subtle heads up to the peculiar individual. The strangers choice of words confirmed the suspicion that lingered in the air as Sever calmly shot his entire drink down, placing the glass back down for Beb to retrieve.

"I'm sure you know for those of us that live down here, its best to be hard to find."

He waited and took in the moment, looking just around the edge of his hood at the stranger. He didn't appear to have anything dangerous pointed in the zabrak's direction. He had to be some kind of bounty hunter of sorts. He certainly looked the part.

"I can't imagine I'm a big enough fish for any of the crime lords down here to send someone after me, and if they did I'm sure you'd have shot me by now if that was the case."

Sever leaned back slightly, stretching his back with a sigh before continuing; keeping a fairly calm demeanor.

"Can't be a grudge or something that petty, someone as equipped as you wouldn't bother with something as small time as that and I'm not big enough for the authorities to care enough to this extent. So...why did you track me down then?"

"So it is."

On a place like this, remaining small and anonymous was perhaps the only option when it came to staying alive. Rhett wasn't one for anonymity, prideful as he was, but he understood that much.

"I don't work for crime lords," he said, voice steady but laced with irritation. "The Republic sent me. Jedi, actually. There's a good deal of credits out for any and all force users 'round the galaxy. That includes you."

Rhett set down his rifle on the counter. Making a point, or a threat. Either way, Rhett would not be turned away.

"Now, I've got a ship waiting to get you to Coruscant. This doesn't have to be hard-- you can come along, nice 'n' easy, or I can stun you, drag you to my ship, and get paid." He smiled, unaware that it couldn't be seen behind the helmet.

He tensed, as if expecting the zabrak to flee. "What do you say?"

"The Jedi?"

The confused words quickly left his lips before he could catch himself. This wasn't good at all. Whatever they wanted with him couldn't be good. Rumors had been spreading for awhile now in regards to the Jedi executing Force users; though most people either weren't sure as to why or that said information being overly second hand.

The zabrak sighed. "Hey Beb, looks like I won't be back for awhile." He said while slowly standing from his stool. He'd look at the Mandalorian. "You mind cuffing me outside the bar? I don't wanna have Beb see me get handcuffed."

Sever didn't wait for the bounty hunter to respond as he walked towards and out the front of the bar. He'd turn to look right at Rhett. "Word around here is that the Jedi have been executing Force sensitive people. Do you really think I'm just gonna go quietly to a fate like that?"

With that the zabrak suddenly drew a vibroknife and threw it straight at Rhett. Without waiting to see the result or missing a beat Sever rushed the bounty hunter point blank as he drew his other vibroknife and aimed for a good stab with the lethal weapon.

Sever felt backed into a corner. Truly unaware of what the Jedi had planned he'd assumed the worst; feeling this moment was a time to fight for his life. His pride wouldn't allow him to run only to be found again despite the clear sight of how armed this man was. He'd go down fighting any day rather than surrendering just to die.

"Sure." Rhett snorted. "I'm in no hurry."

Well, he was, as he wanted to get off this rock as soon as possible. Keeping patient and calm was key in these situations, and Rhett would like to finish up here before his temper got the best of him. So he relaxed, let the kid think everything was a-okay, silently planning his next move between every word in their exchange.

“Nah, they were very specific. You were to come in alive, and--” Rhett swore. A string of swears, actually, lurching out of the way of the blade and pivoting, then launching himself at full speed after the zabrak.

“You little kriffin'--"

A slippery fellow he may be, Rhett had dealt with worse. Jumpy, crafty-- a challenge to be sure, but Rhett would be lying if he wasn't looking for a bit of a chase.

It was only a matter of time before he stunned the poor kid and tossed him hog-tied into his ship.

Truly, it was a good day for hunting.

Rhett Karyc
The job turned out to be easier than Rhett would have liked. Wrangling those exiles had been a pleasing challenge, to be sure - though the Mirshko’s brig had seen better days - but Rhett couldn’t help but feel... dissatisfied. Regardless, Rhett took the time the give his new mission parameters a good lookover, despite his general disdain for the Jedi as a whole.

Making his way from one end of the transport to the next, he took in the new recruits, and their mercenary escorts. A greeting to someone familiar here, a curt glare directed to an unruly recruit there, and eventually he'd run out of things to do.

If only-- ah, him. Elation swelled within him, as well as a sense of victory, and amusement. The zabrak likely wasn't thrilled about the arrangement, but there he was, chatting it up with one of his fellow recruits. With little else to do, he approached the two.

Rhett had reclined on a seat just across from the two initiates, his modified AXM-50 resting across his lap. He was a picture of perfect contentment, with the quiet, almost soothing voice to boot.

"Fancy seeing you here, Sever. Who's the friend?"

Seemed life really through a curveball Sever's way. From the sound of things his stay at this temple was shaping up to be more like a prison. They'd be watched constantly, he was sure they weren't allowed to leave and for Hutt's sake probably a bunch of other crap. Well...at least he wasn't moments away from dying like he'd originally thought. As glad he was about the misunderstanding it didn't change the fact that he was now stuck her against his will more or less.

The Zabrak was seating not far from the corner within the train. He had nothing but his cloths really at this point, not to mention their were a pari of magnacuffs around his wrists for reasons he understood. His vibroknives likely either in the hands of that bounty hunter now or the people who were running this kriff show. He'd sit there more or less moping as one of the other initiates sat next to him, offering his name and a hand shake. The zabrak squinted his eyes at the guy, wondering if he was too thick in the head to notice the magnacuffs. In the end Sever just sighed and awkwardly shook the initiate's hand due to the restrains.

"The name's Sever."

After the handshake the Zabrak took note of the guy's vibrosword and load of other stuff he had with him. "Guess there were some people who came along to this prison daycare willingly. Only way I can think of that explains your sword there as well as all that stuff you've got." He knew he was more or less just stating the obvious but it beat sitting in silence. To other onlookers the two probably looked like they came from completely opposite ways of life. One had next to nothing and gave of the appearance of a criminal (which he was) while the other had numerous things and gave the appearance of a Jedi already given the robes and such. It honestly made Sever wonder about what would happen in the near future.

Of course the near future decided to laugh in has face as a familiar voice and appearance graced his senses in the form of the bounty hunter that'd nabbed him.

"YOU!!!"

Shocked and angry the zabrak abruptly stood from his seat and awkwardly pointed at the seated bounty hunter.
"What?! Bringing me here and getting paid wasn't enough for ya?! You've come to gloat now or somethin?!"

Sever looked as though he was about to step closer to the obviously armed Mandalorian but instead let out a deep breath and plopped himself back into his seat. "I'm sure you've probably stuck my knives on a wall somewhere or have just sold em by now or some crap too huh? Kriffin over equipped security guard."

With that the zabrak would lean over and speak to Morathi again. "You'd better keep an eye on your stuff. If guys like him pulled in other people like me there are bound to be some shady people where we're going."

“They are coming, my boy.”

“Who’s coming, Grandpa?”

“The Jedi.”

The younger of the two hooded figures rose to his feet as the former remained planted on the ground beside the flowing river, rain slowly beginning to fall from the sky. The elder was even slower to rise, putting his hand on the shoulder of the younger as the peppered grey of his beard poked out beneath his hood, his voice calming as he sensed the younger one’s anxiety and worry.

“This must be the place.” As the information she had gathered thus far, Neeva was more or less in the correct place. In Kashyyyk. She hoped she would be Donning a red and white mandalorian armor, she was rightly equipped to handle the person she was requested to bring back to The Jedi.

Nevertheless, the Bounty Hunter never underestimated her targets, especially those that were once a Jedi Knight. Standing on top of a large tree branch, she used her jetpack to approach the target. Wearing hoodies, she had an feeling it must’ve been them. Landing a few meters away from them.

“I’m looking for Carn Arvad. Do you two happen to know where he is?” Her voice from beneath the helmet, she wanted this to happen without much resistance.

The Wookies who were lumbering about wouldn’t take much kindness to the stranger as the two hooded figures quickly disappeared beneath the dense foliage as a Jedi Knight appeared behind the woman, sent to be the Order’s representative in this matter. An Ithorian, the old Jedi gave a sharp exhale from his four throats before speaking up after much grumbling from the three Wookies who towered before them.

“I don’t know what you’ve done, but they say you have done a great injustice. They say these… ‘Shadowlands’ are sacred and we need their chieftain’s permission to be here.”

The two exiles, while this occured, moved quickly into their improvised home. The younger reached for his sword after flipping a few switches to seal the door and darken the windows, narrowing his eyes as the elder spoke, ruffling through a hidden compartment on the side of his bed in the odd structure, which was divided in Morathi’s bedroom, a common living area, and then Carn’s bedroom. The young exile joined him as the former Jedi forced a neatly folded set of clothes onto him, speaking quickly. “Boy, go into your room, change quickly, and put your most important possessions into your backpack and your duffel. We haven’t much time.”

“But, Grandpa, why are they…”

“No time, my boy! Just do it, and quickly!”

And so the younger of the pair complied rather quickly to his grandfather’s request.

Neeva listened to the Ithorian while the two figures disappeared, likely trying to get as far away her. Despite her arsenal, taking on the Wookies would be too much, or too stupid to begin with. They were definitely not thrilled to see her. The grumbling and the stare coming from their direction, she sighed.

This was a territory they were not invited to. She very much respected what the Wookies wanted. This was a sacred land for them, but to her, it was just another planet. “It is not my intention to trespass here. But it is important that I bring someone back to the Order. They are likely hiding somewhere close.”

Taking a step forward, looking towards the direction the two figures went, Neeva continued. “I am not here to do you any harm, and I’d like to take some of strangers with me from your sacred lands. If you won’t let me pass, then let your chieftain know.”

There was no going around it. It would be too much of a mess if she would have to go through the Wookies in order to get to her destination. Nor did the Bounty Hunter want to cause a conflict between her and the inhabitants of Kashyyyk. However, if push came to shove, she would have to resort to her weapons to produce the results she wants.

The wookies growled lowly, one of them raising a bowcaster while another pulled a spear and the leader continued to communicate in the odd Shryiiwook language, with the Jedi translating shortly afterwards. “They say that those two have earned the right to live in the Shadowlands, that they passed their trials. They say that we sully the forest be being here. I regret to do this, but… it must be done.”

The Ithorian Jedi then closed his eyes, waving his hand across his form as he kept speaking in his native tongue. “You will let us pass. Your chieftain would have no quarrel.” The wookies then uttered something in their tongue and then they parted, allowing the pair to move as the Ithorian took the first steps. “A mind trick. Wookies are strong against it, but it is not impossible.”

“Hmm?” Slightly curious about what the Ithorian Jedi said, she turned slightly to the side, giving hima quick look before turning back towards the Wookies. Before they could use their weapons, it seemed like they had a change of heart. Letting them both pass.

“Heh. Remind me to bring you with me the next time I’m here.” Unlike the Ithorian, Neeva was not force-sensitive, or could pull tricks like that. She was however, good at talking around something, or use her skills to get what she wanted. Fortunately enough, there was no bloodshed thus far.

Eventually, they were standing before a man-made home. “This must be it.” Turning to her side, she looked at the Ithorian. “I suppose you can’t use that mind trick to bring Carn Arvad back to the Order?” A rhetoric question. It was a former Jedi Knight so he would probably resist anything like that.

Instead of actually stepping inside, she decided to let her presence be known from just outside the house. “Carn Arvad!”

“I’m assume you know why I’m here.”

Turning her attention for a few seconds towards the Ithorian, she spoke up in a lower voice. “Why don’t you go and take a look around.”

Once more, the Bounty Hunter was focused on her target. “The Order has sent me to bring you back. I do hope you’re willing to come back peacefully.” There was a reason for why Carn Arvad left the Order, and she had a strong feeling that she would not have it easy. It never is easy when you’re a Bounty Hunter. Regardless of the situation, she was well-equipped to fight a Jedi as well.

The former Jedi had heard the bounty hunter’s call. He motioned for his grandson to stay put as the old Mandalorian opened the door and stepped through, his hand twitching above his lightsaber as he readied himself for what may come. His voice was gruff, grizzled as he called out the the hunter as the Force swirled around him as he snarled loudly. “And what, by Mandalore’s beard, does the Order want with me? I left a long time ago.”

The Ithorian Jedi raised his hand, his free hand hovering over his own lightsaber as he spoke up. “They wishes your return, Knight Arvad. You have been recalled, as have any family that may be with you.”

The Mandalorian then narrowed his eyes, his lightsaber sneakily slipping into his hand. “Is what he’s said true, hunter? Do they wish me alive? Or dead?”

Carn Arvad was quick to listen to reason, having stepped out from his house. However, his guard was up, which was not surprising for Neeva. Before she could respond to his questions, the Ithorian spoke up. Merely shuffling her attention between the both of them.

“Yes, that is why I am here. To escort you and any of your family members back to the Order. If we wanted you dead, we would be having a different conversation.” A serious expression was plastered on her face beneath the helmet.

Turning to her side, the representative from the Order was almost if not eager to fight the ex Jedi Knight. This is why Neeva usually worked alone, but at the request of the Order, this Ithorian was necessary. Hoping he would not jump to any rash conclusions, she had to ask him something. “Ithorian, can you sense if there is anyone else inside the house?”

“I will answer. There is only my grandson. We will come with you, but only if our safety is guaranteed. The boy will be a Jedi, and I will return to the Order’s leash for his sake and his sake only.” The Mandalorian, at least, was blunt and honest as the standoff came to a close.

Well, then, it looked like they were reaching a common goal in the matter. “As you wish.” Is all the Bounty Hunter had to say. The only matter at hand was to return back to their ship and head for the Order. Her request to bring back Carn Arvad was without bloodshed, and the added bonus of his grandson as well.

Neeva did not really know what the Order wanted with the both of them, but she knew that they were not the only one the Order wanted to bring back. Gears were shifting back there, but was it for a good outcome, or something else?

NEEVA RAGEL
It was a relative simple job that worked out well for the Bounty Hunter. Carn Arvad, and his grandson willingly said they would return to the Order. If they decided not to return to the Order, they'd be forced to, and restrained as well.

Now, like with many others exiles, they were being transported back to the Order. Neeva was also there, and wasn't the only Bounty Hunter for hire. Leaned against the wall, with her arms folded before her chest, she simple gave the people who passed by a simple look. Some were not thrilled to see her there, while others didn't really care.

To have this many people transported back, there had to be a big shift in the Order. Regardless, it was not some information she wanted to pry out from the officials. For the time being, her objective was to bring Carn Arvad and his grandson back. Keeping her eyes on the both of them, they probably had questions for her.

By now, judging by what they could see inside the transport, there was likely never a way out if they did not come back willingly. They kept their weapons, so that should earn her some trust. "It shouldn't be long now." A simple demeanor, the tone behind her voice unchanged.

[fieldbox=Morathi Arvad, green, solid, 6, book antiqua]Morathi, being more naive than outright foolish, gave a mere shrug before looking at the bounty who had come across before offering a light chuckle, popping his neck as he began to speak up with a soe innate curiosity emergung from his throat awhile putting a hand on the Iridonian's shoulder to keep him from doing anything too stupid and keep him a bit clamer before he retracted it.

"You're a Mandalorian hunter, aren't you? I'm Morathi Arvad of Clan Ordo. A pleasure. I've lived in Shadowlands of Kashyyyk most of my life, so I haven't had the chance to set foot on Mandalore proper. My grandfather took measures to ensure I was raised with the Canons of Honor and the combat style of our people, as he trained my father in such. We came here together after the order came to our home in the Shadowlands seeking us, although I'm somewhat surprised that they were able to get by without a fight from the Wookies."

Morathi figured that was all he needed to say, mentioning nothing of his Echani training he had undergone with his grandmother for the time being. He then looked around at some of the other initiates, scoffing lightly before he looked to the Zabrak before sizing him up slightly befor he crossed his arms before speaking once more, muttering something about most of the people on the tram likely being inable to survive some of the lighter threats of the Kashyyykan wilds beforehand.

"As for these old robes? I prefer my normal gear, by a very wide margin, but the old man was insistant that we cause as little grievance with the Jedi as possible when they came for us. Given what I've seen him do, I can see why he didn't want to mess with them. The sword I've had for ages. What about you, Sever? What's your story?"[/fieldbox]

[fieldbox=Aliscia Firelut, pink, solid]

Aliscia stood in the crowded tram, Holding on to the overhead railing. She quickly got bored and decided to pass the time by once again meditating. She thought it would be the "Jedi" thing to do. Sitting down and crossing her legs on the floor of the tram, She opened herself up to the will of the Force. Emotions from those around her, flooded into her. She could feel excitement, nervousness, and me any conflicting things within those who were aboard the tram. She began sifting through some of the conversations happening to get an idea on who some of these people were. She overheard something that piqued her interest.

"I'm Morathi Arvad of Clan Ordo.

Now that was not something you came across everyday. Mandalorian Jedi were almost as rare, if not rarer, than herself. Mandalorians tended to hate Jedi and the Republic. The Mandalorian War almost making such hate a cultural facet. On top of their being a Mandalorian Jedi candidate, he was apparently from the Wookie homeworld. Wookies were not big fans of mandalorians after some warriors tested some new equipment in the sacred shadowlands. Killing some wookies in the process. By the force.....A mandalorian jedi was unique, but a Mandalorian Jedi from Kashyyyk would be the talk of every smuggler in every cantina across the Republic.

She opened her eyes and rose to her feet, pushing her way across the tram to Morathi and Sever. When she reached them she eyed them appraisingly and put her hands on her hips as she spoke. "Mandalorians are notorious for hating the Jedi and the Republic. Wookies are notorious for hating Mandalorians, since they infiltrated the Shadowlands, 800 years ago. So how does a Mandalorian force sensitive from Kashyyyk, find their way here to be trained as a Jedi? By the force, I need to hear this."

The Zabrak looked at his peer curiously with a slight furrow of the brow in repose to the muttering. The tale even seemed to attract another to the group. Though when Sever was asked what is story was he hesitated. "It ain't..." He stopped and rested his cuffed hands behind his head and leaned back, trying his best to relax. "It ain't nothin to write home about. From what I've heard all scummy places are alike and the slum areas on Corusant weren't any different. Before my old man was done in he'd told me he use to be a Jedi; but they didn't like his views of pride so they kicked him to the curb."

"I lived like how anyone else lives down in that banta hole...you lied, you cheated, you stole, you smuggled...and if you wanted to not lose any fingers or get beaten you got good at it...quick. Then you'd have a drink so you could forget the worries of life for a little awhile. So you could forget that every fuck around the corner would stab you dead for a few creds so they can get their next fix."

"Now I'm here cause some pretentious bastards decided to..." The clear frustration in his voice didn't allow the Zabrak to finish his sentence. However suddenly his voice would soften unexpectedly, his face peering down at the floor of the tram. "The old man would have turned fifty today. Not that the Jedi care about an urchin mourning for his criminal father I'm sure."

Rhett cackled, holding his hands palms-up in supplication. "Relax, Sever. I'm just here for a little chat." An excuse to watch over the kid disguised as a chat, in any case. Had this been any other assignment, he'd have roughed the kid up a little, but as it was, the Jedi had a very strict set of rules he had to follow if he wanted his pay. Disappointing. "Got your knives right here. Can't have 'em though, sorry kid."

Or'dinii. He lucked out getting Rhett to bring him in. There were plenty much nastier hunters out there who wouldn't hesitate to deal with that tongue of his, even if it did dock their pay.

Hells, Rhett wasn't even sure why he'd taken this job. He wasn't crazy about the Republic. The Jedi had a history with his people he'd prefer to avoid speaking of. With all of that in mind, it was a wonder he'd even bothered to answer the call for such a relatively measly number of credits when there were much more exciting, and much more rewarding jobs out there waiting for him.

At least he had a few on his backlog. When this finished up, maybe he'd make up for it with one of them.

Rhett snorted at the other initiate's comment, crossing his arms. "Only until they start paying me. Then I'm all for whatever friendship game the Jedi want to play." It was really rather simple, and Rhett found that he was just as fascinated by the kid's origin as she was.

“Clan Ordo…” Rhett visibly perked up at that. He easily switched from basic to mando’a, grin hidden by his helmet. “Rhett, of Clan Karyc. Do you speak?”

It had been too long since he'd been able to embrace the familiar nuances of the language and, if the kid was truly related to Ordo, then he ought to at least understand some of the language. He was hardly of Mandalorian make if he couldn't. But Rhett had been disappointed before; he tried not to expect too much.

"Elek, vod, jorhaa'ir." Yes, friend, I speak.

His response to the Mandalorian was quick before he politely turned his attention to the other initiate who had asked him about his backstory. He scratched his chin and relaxed into his seat. Morathi wasn't quite used to be a center of attention, although he began to understand what kind of oddity he truly was. He figured, then, that he might as well speak his mind and hold back little. After all, Jedi didn't tend to keep many secrets fro m each other, did they? And given that they were going to be living and training together for Force-knew-how-long the Mandalorian figured that might as well give a decently descriptive overview of his being to, at the very least, sate the curious appetites of those around him as he sighed and spoke up in his somewhat naive baritone.

"Well, my grandfather is a Mandalorian from Clan Ordo- he lived on the planet of Mandalor and the moon of Dxun growing up, and eventually a Jedi Master noticed his prowess and his Force Sensitivity, and agreed to go with the Jedi. He had already done great feats and was considered an adult by the clan, so they respected his decision and he maintained the Mandalorian ways while becoming a Jedi. And to address this misconception- the Mandalorians are wary of Jedi- they do not hate Jedi. In fact, from what I understand, Mandalorians consider Jedi Knights to be worthy opponents to fight in battle. Their services, however, fall to either the highest bidder on the side that will bring them the most glory.

"Now, in time, my grandfather met my grandmother- an Echani Jedi Consular- and they we smitten, leaving the Order after they made it clear that the Order was not going to approve of their union, as they rarely do. So, in time, they had my father and in time my father and my mother had me and my two younger siblings. We were all taught the legacy of the Mandalorians and the Echani and on occassion met our distant kin from either side as we lived on various spacecraft where my parents and grandparents acted as security. Then, one day, the ship we lived on was attacked by raiders and we were forced to eject the escape pods onto the planet below, Kashyyyk, and landed in the Shadowlands. My grandparents and I were the only survivors we knew of, so we took what we could salvage and built a home. After some time passed and we became on friendly terms with the local Wookies, my grandparents taught me to connect to the Force in meditation and how use some telekinetic skills. But after my grandmother died we focused more on combat and survival while I periodically traded with the Wookies, doing favors for them for things like datapads and certain foods after I learned Shryriwook- a rather large headache, but worth it. And, after that, a bounty hunter and Jedi came for us and brought us here. That is that. What, then, are your stories?"

There wasn't much for her to do at this point other than to make sure the Arvad's would make it to the Jedi Order safely. She simply listened to the conversation between a few of the others who were there willingly or not. Especially the Zabrak. The tone behind his voice, directed at the Bounty Hunter who brought him in was evident.

Pushing herself off of the wall, she too, approached the conversation. She was curious or rather interested in what story the young Arvad just so happened to share with the others. However, that alone explained why the local Wookies were on good terms with them. "Interesting." Interrupting, she continued.

"So the Wookies were quite used to you and your grandfather." Thinking back to the her confrontation with the Wookies, she was glad the person the Order sent with her took care of that. There was no bloodshed.

"But if only you and your grandfather were left in Kashyyyk, why did you both not return back to the Order. The whole reason for leaving was because of the union, was it not?" Looking to her side, she glanced towards the grandfather.

Aliscia listened to the stories of Sever, Morathi, and even from the Bounty Hunter. It wasn't as interesting of a story as she hoped it would be, but was still odd nonetheless. One of the new recruits seemed to be particularly sour about the whole ordeal. His name appeared to be Sever.

"Sever, if you wish to mourn, then mourn. The Jedi will not bother you. You have some time before we reach the temple. Once all this hoopla is over with, you can leave the Order if you wish. It is what I did. I am not an iniate. I was a knight, who didn't agree with the Council, and left. The Jedi do not hold hostages. The only one holding you here is the Bounty Hunter. Once his contract is fulfilled....."

Ali then turned her attention to Morathi and the hunters. "Trust is a powerful thing. It can do so much, but also destroy so much. It is amazing to find a Mandalorian Jedi, and subsequently, a Mandalorian Jedi living with the Wookies. If you really wish to know, I can tell you my story. However I must omit some details, as per my agreement with the Council. I hold different beliefs from them, and I am not allowed to freely teach them. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind helping Sever out, but he must find his own way now, or use the Jedi for that."

Sever Hakras

Both relief and sorrow seemed to hit the Zabrak at the mention of his knifes being so close yet still so far away. Trying to reason or bargain with the bounty hunter was surely pointless at this point. After fidgeting in his seat a little, Sever listened to the two Mandalorian's. The life story was certainly different from the norm that was for sure.

The former Jedi's words quickly grabbed the young Zabrak's attention as his gaze moved over to her. If he was being honest he only trusted half of what she said and even then took it with a grain of salt. He wanted to reply, clear frustration in his face; but he didn't know what to say anymore. He'd heard countless horror stories in regards to the Jedi. Things that in most people's eyes made them no different than any other organization despite all their preaching. He just felt like a caged animal at this point. He could do nothing. Of course not being fond of forced life choices.

After a few moments of silence Sever awkwardly reached into his side pocket, retrieving his small personal data pad. Holding it in front of himself he appeared to flip through it till he reached a section that held images. He wouldn't say a word or even look up at the now numerous people in his vicinity as he browsed through the familiar sights of being with his mother and father. Various pockets of light that have been beaming in through the tram's windows slide across his body as only his fingers moved in a slow, deliberate manner. He wanted them both here with him now. He wanted to hear his mother scold him for getting caught, his father warning him that the next screw up could cost him dearly. Sever would likely continue to reflect upon himself silently for the remainder of the ride.

The pronunciation and accent were different from what Rhett was used to. The rolling, growing sounds of the wookiees must have affected the kid's speech. A real shame if he was of Clan Ordo like he'd said. A good clan with good men and women-- and here the Jedi had driven them to Kashyyyk, of all places.

“Ori'jate! Gar buir ba'jurir?” Excellent, did your father teach you? “Ba'buir?” Grandfather?

A grandfather taking the father’s role, and on Kashyyyk of all places. As the other initiate had said; it was a rather interesting story, but not one Rhett had the patience to hear. With the temple growing closer - just over the horizon, Rhett could see - he simply wanted some familiar company to ward off the homesickness. Casting a quick glance over his shoulder at the other hunters, he frowned, then turned back to the kid with a smile he didn’t realize couldn’t be seen.

“Would you look at that,” Rhett said, throwing an arm over the back of the adjacent seat. “Better prepare yourselves, jetiise. You’ve got a long few months ahead of you.”

Rhett lurched from his seat and headed to the front of the cabin to wait for the tram to pull up to the temple.

"Elek, ba'buir. Nuru kora'hiri tirn jorhaa'ir jate Mando'ad." Yes, my grandfather. He says it will improve after speaking with other Mandalorians.

The initiate was about to say something else, but he was interrrupted by the sudden halt of the train. A mechanical voice announced that they had arrived at their destination. As if on cue, the rather intimidating sight of the ancient masked temple guards entered through the various exits on the train, sending most of them onwards while one of them drew their lightsaber pike and activated one of the burning yellow blades before slicing the Iridonian's magnacuffs in half before they deactivated as the lightsaber pike was deactivated and resting back on his belt as quickly as it had emerged before a gruff, low voice came from behind the pale mask.

"Get moving, initiate. Time is of the essence."

Those initiates that were held back were mostly being asked questions, although some others were being analyzed with the aid of the Force in order to answer some suspicions. After all, the Temple Guard had as much say as the Jedi High Council regarding the safety of the ancient and venerable temple. The ancient guardians slowly began to lead the Jedi exiles and hopefuls, as well as their bounty hunters, into a somewhat secluded wing of the temple, into a circular training room. Even the least sensitive could feel the Force begin to swell as an elder Kel Dor Jedi stepped forward, his arms outstretched to welcome the group as his wizened rasp echoed throughout the sparring chamber.

"I welcome you, exiles and hopefuls alike, to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. I am Ori Karan, and I will be the Jedi Master responsible for overseeing your training. Should any of you ever have a need, I shall do my best to aid you. This, young initiates, is where you will learn the art of lightsaber combat and the wisdom of those who came before us. Those of you who return from exile will be examined and retrained separately, of course. Of the bounty hunters who brought you here, a few will remain to assist with your training, as they have accepted the charge to do so. But, of course, this is your first day and I imagine you are tired from your travels. If you approach the Jedi and the caretaker droids by the northern benchesm you will be given your room assignments. I wish you all to have a good day's rest, for tomorrow you will be broken up into your training groups and be put on the path to becoming true Jedi. I wish you all the best of luck, and may the Force be with you all."

The older Jedi then bowed his head as the young Mandalorian processed everything in the back of his head. This was going to be a most interesting adventure.

Sever Hakras

Finally, the tram had stopped and they'd reached their destination. Kriff, about time. Not long after Sever stowed his datapad within his pocket did masked temple guards board the tram car. The zabrak didn't blink as one of them walked right up to him an activated his lightsaber pike. The young male's eyes widened as he held his breath but he didn't look away as the weapon pasted just in front of his face and cut through his magnacuffs before the separated pieces clanked against the floor. Rubbing his wrists instinctively the ruffian simply moved along as he was told without much of a fuss. Before joining the others he was however stopped and inspected by a different ancient guard. Though it appeared to only take a second or two.

The swelling of the Force caused by the old Kel Dor made Sever unexpectedly shiver for a moment. He hadn't felt a presence like this from anyone before; his own father wasn't even in the same weight class as this guy so to speak. Ori Karan huh. He continued to listen to the old man's speech, abruptly looking towards Rhett for a moment at the mention of some of the bounty hunters staying to help train them all. In Sever's eyes this was still a forced situation for him no matter how he looked it. But maybe there was something to all of this that could be beneficial. For some reason his old man never taught him much about the Force or the Jedi. Maybe it was with the hopes that Sever wouldn't come into contact with Jedi that way.

Once the formalities were over the young zabrak would turn towards Rhett and start to walk towards him, however, midway there he'd stop and appear to think to himself. He was willing to go as far an apologize and even say that he'd in no way think of taking on the guards in this place in the hopes of getting his knives pack. They were more than just some weapons; they were the last things that were given to him by his old man. But deep down he knew he didn't have a chance in hell. After everything he'd done and said there was no way. Without looking over towards the bounty hunter again the zabrak would shamble over to the Jedi and or droids that would give him his room so he could be done with the kriffing day.

Aliscia Firelut

The Former Jedi Knight paid no heed to the Temple guards entering the tram as they finally arrived at their destination. They seemed to be performing checks on those entering the temple, both with the force and with a few verbal questions. Well, it was their job after all. One even came over and sliced off Sever's cuffs. One such temple guard stood in front of her looking her in the eyes. She stayed calm, and put up her mental shields, not allowing him to read her with the force. She just smiled into the mask, and shuffled into a crowd of people exiting. It was rude to intrude on someone's mind without asking.

The group was shuffled up into the martial training room. A place Aliscia remembered well. She had spent a lot of time in here. She always enjoyed the feel of sabers in her hands. That was probably why she would choose guardian again. She listened to the Master Jedi speak a little on what was to come, then they were all dismissed. Aliscia remembered the Jedi Master from the Council when she left the order. She briefly wondered if he remembered her. Well, it was no matter. She stood with the rest and saw Sever about to approach the bounty hunter who had brought him in....then stop and turn around. She outwardly sighed, then approached Rhett.

"Bounty Hunter, give the kid his stuff back. You have no reason to hold it any longer. You aren't responsible for anyone's safety inside the temple. Their are Jedi everywhere, and your contract of delivering him is more than likely complete. You have no real reason to hold onto his belongings." She stated, not really in any authoritative way........yet. While making sure she mentioned the key point twice for emphasis.

Safely hidden behind his helmet, Rhett rolled his eyes. There was something ancient and offsetting about the Jedi, like they were so separate from the Galaxy at large that they were almost unreal. Or maybe it was just old genes getting riled up by the Jedi's pretentious jabbering that set him on edge. Either way, Rhett couldn't wait to get off the transport and get to work. The work itself was nothing special, but the credits offered had been hard to turn down.

It was something of a relief to have the initiates distract him from the Grandmaster's introductory speech. Rhett snorted at the request, but retrieved the knives from a pair of sheathes on his back anyway.

"Couldn't cut flimsi with these, but sure, have 'em." He flipped the blade around and handed it to the zabrak hilt-first. "I won't think twice about handing these over sharp end first, if you try anything." Satisfied with his threat, Rhett reached out to pat the initiate on the shoulder, using more force than was strictly necessary. Had to lay some boundaries, after all. Too bad the kid couldn't see the sneer on his face. He shouldered past the jedi on his way out of the transport to find the rest of the mercenaries.

Hm. He should have brought his brandy. It would be a long few months.

Morathi Arvad
A week passed as if it were nothing.

The various intiates were tested in a wide variety of areas in order to test their preexisting apititudes with the Force, as well as to see if they had any martial prowess. These test made up the majority of the first few days, while the remainder of which would srve as an introduction to life in the Jedi Temple. Each initiate would have the chance to meet their potential masters as well as Ori Karan before they began to be further separated by their age. By the fifth day, all th children who were young enough to be proper younglings had been moved to another part of the temple while the former knights who simply needed some basic retraining were also taken elsewhere.

According to the Jedi Consulars, Morathi displayed a promising ability to attune with the Force in his meditation and some skill with telekinetics, although he was average in most other aspects of examination. He also, apparently, was in better than average physical health as a byproduct of living on Kashyyyk, where the gravity was slightly higher than some other planets. There were some aspects of his results seemed to thoroughly confuse the proctors, but he supposed it was due to his unusual upbringing.

On the eighth day in the temple, each initiate would have a set of customized Jedi robes placed by their door, with instructions to wear them when they went to the training hall. Morathi's robes were nearly identical to the ones his grandfather had given, although he was tempted just to wear his old clothes from Kashyyyk. Whenever the time came for more combat training, he'd likely wear them. Each apprentice also had a number tag on each of their robes, respresenting their new training group.

As they began filtering into the training room, the temple guards instructed each initiate to meet with the Jedi Master who had that number. In this case, Ori Karan stood under the number ten, where Morathi and a few others would be, along with two bodyguards that the potential Jedi immediately recognized.

Crossing his arms, the old Kel Dor happily greeted the apprentices that came his way, greeting all of his new students with a hopeful expression beneath his mask.

"It is good to see you all, apprentices. You have all been selected to be in a group together based on varying factors. Each of you is strong in an area someone else is not. You each have something strong in each of you- a certain potential that can make you all great Jedi Knights someday. As such, I chose to teach you pupils myself. We will begin shortly with a sparring practice. The Echani beliece that the true expression of one's inner self can come forward through these matches, and it will be a good way to examine your starting skillset. No Force-based abilities, but skill against skill. Does anyone have any questions?"

And so the floor was open to any questions that the initiates or mercenaries may have for the old master.

Sever Harkas

To the Zabrak it was hard to believe a week had already flown by. The food was nothing to praise really, the layout of the temple made it odd to get around the place and he was pretty much under watch no matter where he went. He'd wonder how this wasn't basically prison again a few more times throughout the days before finally putting the mentality to rest. Hell, he even made sure not to cause that one bounty hunter any grief for an entire week as thanks for returning his knives. He still wasn't sure how to thank the one woman however who asked that his stuff be returned; perhaps in time he'd figure out something.

It'd seemed the newest day inquired a new outfit as well. The being numbered bit was a bit discomforting until Sever noticed the two knife sheaths at either thigh section; he even cracked a smile. The Zabrak wasted little time suiting up before venturing to the training room with everyone else in his group; pleased to see Morathi once again as he took a spot next to him. Then he didn't know what to think once he saw that Kel Dor from before was to be their teacher. This kriffin monster again. Sever couldn't shake off the presence that surrounded this guy even while he went about his little speech. He personally sought as just a bunch of hot air being tossed out like how he was sure the others masters were doing to their students. Standing idle with arms crossed until the offer of asking questions came up; the Zabrak took a step forward and smirked at the old man. "Is there any problem if an initiate asks to spar with you, old man?"
