|Tonight| Shall We Unravel Together?

Electric neon flashed with a gentle hum beneath the noise of traffic and the loud chatter of patrons weaving in and out of life without so much as a coherent thought. Lien Hue had been left to her own fate nearly three hours after the bite, over two hundred years ago. There had been no alpha to teach her the ways in which to behave and no one to explain why humans were not cattle to be slaughtered. She'd glanced upon them with precision, easily picking out the weak from the strong. How easy it would have been to render flesh from bone just that moment. However, tonight did not allow a needed feeding.

The master of the city, [Serafino/Fino] an ancient vampire had come to call and all she could do was answer. Swayed by temptation and ruled by the common pleasures he had brought. Money, protection and silent companionship on nights in which only her alpha could have fulfilled. Empty was Lien Hue. Misguided by the carnality in which her affliction carried.

In return, he had asked her to work certain evenings as extra muscle for the Rooftop. A devastatingly beautiful nightclub filled with exotic drinks, and an array of creature features. Perfection to a vampire's eyes.

It was nights like these though, when Borneo was busiest and the supernaturals were insatiable, that the she-wolf felt at peace. The world kept spinning at a dizzying pace, and there was no time to stand still and sulk. It kept her mind from falling apart, and the beast at bay...for now.

Lavish stilettos clacked against cracked pavement before brushing past two large males at the door. They were familiar with the doll's face, even more familiar with what hid beneath her porcelain physique. Digits had been shoved within the pockets of ripped denim as she casually attempted to part the dance floor before bumping into an acquaintance named Claude. " Wheres Fino? "Lien asked before allowing her eyes to wander a bit.

Claude merely shook his head. " I haven't seen him in a while. Probably lurking in the shadows, traipsing around with one of the local whores as usual. "

Slender brows had knitted together in a frown before the woman had responded.

" You're probably correct. "

Why was he even here?

Pulsating music that rippled through your entire being, bodies of men and woman grinding against each other to the blasting music and their laughs and shouts over one another mixed in the bass. Sweat beads growing on the skin of both sexes, the air from the windows wasn't enough to level out the array of bodies that filled the club tonight. Maybe it was the constant annoyance...inconvenience of woman that threw their bodies against him and an attempt to drag him further into the crowd of bodies and dance. Breast flesh against his shoulder and chest, warm drunken smiles that and a seductive undertone wasn't missed. This was something the curly brown hair enthusiast would love. Woman falling over him with the intent to release all their sexual needs and desires.

How long had it been since he honestly craved the body and companionship of another? It was a cool night short a few days of a full moon and his body could already sense it. The faint stinging sensation all over his body, mostly where his faded scars were. A embedded memory that was much deeper than what they appeared to be. An empty feeling in his chest that would never heal and it was more of a nuisance now than anything, and now wasn't the time to go digging up old wounds. There was no room to go thinking about his old pack, the raven haired love that was ripped away, pure and utter torment had now turned to simple...nothingness. He felt nothing.

His body staggered half an inch over due to the sudden contact with his shoulder. Asger grunted, brown eyes cast to the curly haired male he had lost in the sea of people earlier with a grin as wide and playful expression casted only for Asger though he didn't return such emotion. Vali had made a motion down to the extra drink in his hand and waited until Asger took the glass before nudging him again. " I take you out to the best club around, amazing drinks and amazing women and you still look like a sour puss". The comment elicited a scoff from Asger as he brought the liquid up to his lips.
" You know this.." He made a motion around him with a finger. " Isn't my thing, it's yours".

Vali had come into his life by annoying force about a hundred years ago or so. A lone wolf that was turned by a rouge beast and had escaped death by the hands of a woman that he had fell in love with. A vampire from a coven out west who distaste for werewolves did not relive Vali of an exception. Vali was a persistent man and proceeded to follow Asger around despite telling the man he wanted nothing to do with him. Over the years however Asger simply grew tired of saying the same thing and let the man stick around.

The supernatural presence was overwhelmingly strong tonight and Asger simply watched as Vali was seduced by a vampire. He scoffed. Asger moved past the two and grabbed another drink from the bar, finger tracing around the rim and eyes of boredom as he scanned the room. It was the same every time and there was nothing for him here. He was almost tempted to just up and leave but then who would drag Vali away from the hungry red eyes that were looking for a quick feed. His hand moved up to undo two of the buttons on his black button down shirt, head rotating slightly side to side before pushing back on the stool and moving through the crowd near the front. He needed some air.

For a moment, the woman had merely stood deathly still as she had raised her nose to the air in order to scent it, before languid limbs rested themselves against stark white railing. A heady mixture of otherworldly redolences quickly brushed against finely tuned nostrils as she could now sort out Fino's from the rest. His was like warm honey mixed into an open wound, a pool of crimson left out within an open crypt. Though something striking had tickled at them just then, it was quick to be ignored.

This was a nightly game in which Lien casually played with the kindred one. Find him somewhere between the strobe lights, and the heavy fog that belayed itself from machines.

HBvuCZp.jpg

It was then that the she-wolf had descended the stairs from the VIP area, catching a gander at some familiar face that connected to the human she once was. It was like not seeing the forest for the trees. Not recalling a past once hastily forgotten. She had seen that visage as it haunted her much like the wolf within had. It culled forth curious emotions, none too welcomed by what ate at her from the inside. He was but a ghost, a figment crafted from one's imagination and lost idealism. He wasn't real.

Lien's attention had been caught by the same bouncer from earlier, as he made a quiet hand gesture. This time facing a shadowed part of the bar counter. It was Fino who had been watching the creature all along. Teasingly taunting it to come out and play. He held his glass up, before slamming fine crystalline back down onto the cold, marble surface. It wasn't just companionship between them, there was much else.

Serafino had been made into a peculiar rumor, a legend and a legacy. It was also part of this city's superstitions that an ancient vampire wandered the night, snacking on children as they slept and glamouring young women into bed. The latter part was true. He held a Casanova complex, entombed in the perfect chiseled physique of an earth God.

Most would worship the ground he walked upon....Most.

But their encounter was about to be broken as a scuffle had erupted from within the crowd of writhing patrons.

What Asger had originally planned as a way for him to get some fresh air immediately changed as the following events transpired. He had been itching his way through the crowded floor of bodies to reach the neon exit sign that seemed so far away compared to the actual handful of steps that was required to make it there. Vali seemed content in the red section, closed off to the night walkers or what modern humans today called blood suckers or Vampires. Neither was wrong on Asger's eyes.

They spoke to you when they wanted you to be in their presence and never the other way around. Night walkers like their name, rarely if any showed themselves when the sun came out. They were elusive and mysterious by nature and their mesmerizing looks are what drew unknowing humans to them like easy prey.

Just as Asger reached the exit all hell started to break out in the middle of the crowd and it despite his better judgement to push forward and out to the welcoming cool air, he turned towards the commotion and immediately gritted his teeth. From where he was standing people were on their tippy toes, craning their necks to get a peek but Asger could see the aggravation perfectly fine from where he was standing.

Vali was squaring off with a night walker who's imposing figure was bigger than their usual stature. Of course the Spanish man kept his feet planted on the ground and the night walker who was now standing directly in front of the woman Vali had been whisked away with, glaring down with a menacing look. It took all of three seconds for Asger to piece together that the woman was also in a...relationship with the nigh walker and trouble was sure to come of it. Pushing back through the tighter bodies of people itching for a fight, Asger gripped Vali's shoulder and pulled him back a few feet before the night walker could attack.

" Let's not do this in here" His voice was monotone, brown eyes drinking in the night walker who's mouth curled up slightly.
" Here to come get your mutt" The comment made Vali scoff, shoulders rolling as he licked his lips and leaned over Asger's shoulder slightly with a cocky expression on his face. " Being stingy gets you nowhere, it's always better to share". That was the only comment needed before the night blood lunged at Vali and the other's who were in the red corner stood up ready to aide their brethren. The impact of the night walker's body knocking into Asger to reach Vali made him stagger all but four feet before gripping the dark haired male by the throat, a laced grip as he squeezed and his eyes moved from the male in his grasp to the others behind him. " Take it. Outside".

Asger loosened his grip before shoving the might blood back as he coughed and then readied for another go but Asger wasn't even paying attention anymore, he was too busy trying to diffuse the situation and drag Vali out before they drew too much attention but he quickly learned that it was far too late for that.

The tension budding beneath a hazy shade of smoke and heavy bass had elicited a quick gaze from the she-wolf who needn't worry about a command from her vampire's lips. Precise and agile movements had allowed Lien to close the distance between herself and the assailants ---and it was then that she had found herself intermingled within the crowd forming about them. Proverbial words collided with the woman's ears, recklessly awakening a past shrouded in misery. Dark lashes fluttered within anticipation until she had gathered herself without showing volatile fervours toward the alpha who had supposedly died so long ago.

Lien's heart beat with the swinging motions of lust, and want and need. It felt as if it were about to burst out until she could feel the imprints of her lover's teeth digging ferociously into the nape of her neck. It was unlike anything ever felt before as they dug deeper and deeper into flesh and she stifled a whimper from warm lips.

Though he was trying to be gentle, strong jaws exerted a needed pressure. Lien did not crave the bite, more so craved eternity with him... His grip had tightened over her, as if to not allow release and a slow trickle of blood had begun it's journey downwards to the silken bed sheets below. He allowed his tongue to moisten the wound even more so, careful to intermingle infected saliva within the open gash he'd left behind.

That pain was something she would always associate the change with and the night she lost him....

In recognition, Lien had reacted without thought as Asger's accoster lunged with usual kindred aggression. His fist caught within those slender digits and as a deep velvety growl escaped the pale expanse of the woman's neck. Pearly whites had threatened to elongate into razor sharp canines but remained human. Within the corner of wintry orbs, she could see his masculine silhouette adorned with the same rugged appearance that had attracted her frail earthenware frame. Lien painfully recalled the day in which he had swept her into the shadows of his heart. Hurt and misery were guarded carefully, as she barked an order towards the one who's fist she still possessed. " You know the law. Move out or face Fino's wrath. " Despite her own want to berate Asger, herself, she seemingly sided with him and reiterated the exact same sentiment. As a sort of enforcer, the creature had garnered a bit of a reputation. A pension for unabashedly releasing inevitable carnage throughout the club if provoked. The word 'she-bitch' often slipped from the mouth's of those who had bore witness to such distinct carnality.

For now, she hadn't uttered a word in his direction. An attempt to reign in the unraveling of life's delicate fabric was at play. The corners were now being tugged upon by unforeseen forces and the she-wolf now became encapsulated by the presence of him. He, who set her world aflame, had also doused it with the implications of his false death. The thundering swing of her heart's arduous beat felt as though it were going to burst from it's skeletal cage, and yet she placed a calm and collected facade against the backdrop of those doll like features.

It was almost comical how deep rooted Asger's shoes seemed to be at the sight of creamy skin and dark brown eyes that now darkened in such authority. How things were so much different from the way they used to be, a fools thought to even travel back in time to remember bittersweet things that resulted in such a painful ending. The night walker who's finger had now known the gruff fingers curled tightly around his throat rotated his neck, his hands moving up to rub the skin that had been agitated and darkened eyes feasted on his wolf friend. " I don't have for this" He scoffed as hands moved through dark hair before he moved though the crowds of people that eyes danced with excitement and some disappointment that the fight wasn't going to commence. Vali rotated his shoulders, eyes boring into the back of the night walkers skull as the others soon moved through and left into the dark night as well..

How Asger wanted to leave and go home. Parties and huge crowds were never his thing and even after all these years he still couldn't get into the whole thing. Lien had changed from that fragile woman he had met in Shanghai, the content warmth that she had given him, this feeling of home that had been buried within his chest, within his beast. It was hollow now. What was he to say to her now? Brown eyes narrowing on the slender woman who seemed to have a reputation. He had heard the hushed whispers every so often but no name, simply a detailed conversation of vicious acts and how dominating and fierce the woman was...he was only getting a taste and it left all but something bitter in his mouth. Lip curled slightly, mouth in a thin line as Asger flexed his fingers out at his side and the pulsing from the music only blended in with the thumping of his heart in his chest.

Neither one of them said anything to each other, their eyes simply starred before Asger broke off and looked away. He figured that in doing so would help stop the feeling in his chest, that he wouldn't feel torn between seeing the woman he loved and seeing what she had become..angry and despite those innocent features that had softened up slightly now that the dispute was over, there was still anger in those dark pools that drank him in. What was he to say to her? Hey I'm not dead? That was foolish words he'd never utter but would she even care to know why he was still alive? There were a million and one questions swirling through his head at the moment but the sound of a faint cough from Vale made Asger's brow furred slightly to see Vali looking between him and the enforcer with a peculiar gaze. " Ready to go mate?" His head made a motion towards the exit and his neutral calm demeanor had come back.
" Mhmm" Was all Asger said as his jaw twitched slightly.

Vali began to push through the now dancing bodies but Asger fell behind as his lips parted. " The years have been kind to you Lien". Her name almost seemed foreign on his tongue after many years of not uttering it. His head tilted slightly, tongue darting out to wet his lower lip. He wasn't expecting a response really and it surprised Asger that he even spoke to the woman in the first place. So much time had past and he had laid to rest that he'd never see her again. How funny that turned out to be.

How funny, indeed.

Lien's precarious gaze had been ripped from Asger, if only to follow the vampire and make sure he made good on his word. With Fino ever present, there wouldn't be a need to exact carnage tonight. However, she felt blindsided, and it agitated her beast. It barked and whined, trapped within it's human cage. Howling out to it's creator, begging for final release. Such was inevitably a cruel joke that her alpha was still breathing. He had been a God in which she worshiped --prayed at the alter of him every waking moment. How could he have survived and not come back for her? Asger betrayed that nativity that once belayed Lien her sanity. In truth, what he now looked upon, was the genesis in which his disappearance had carved out. A beautiful disaster basked in a blanket of cimmerian shade and carnality.

HBvuCZp.jpg

Titian pools which once danced with euphoria, now drowned in a wintry eclipse of disdain. The she-wolf's brows knitted together, just as the one known as Vali had initiated a break in the silence that crept between herself and Asger. He was going to leave and without so much as an apology. It was then that he mustered some semblance of a sentence. Commenting carefully on the state of her being. Yet, the years had not been kind and the youth that still bore itself upon her visage was only an implication of the immortality he once bestowed upon her that night. His gift was a box full of darkness.

Was she capable of feeling anything but distress when looking upon him now and how would he feel to know that she preferred the company of vampires over that of their own kind? Would he chastise her hunger for human flesh? There was only one way to find out, regardless of his current company.

Without so much as a thought, the woman spat out words of trademark hostility. They fluttered with a foreign lilt that harkoned back to red lanterns swaying in the East. Yet those wings dripped with poison. " You survived and you left me to rot. You let me pay for your mistakes and now you leave just as soon as we meet again. " Lien had scoffed. "Bastard." A feeling of suffocation had overtaken the rage that simmered beneath the surface. Anxiety, and panic. It was flight or fight as she took the same route as him, hurriedly brushing passed the masses towards dancing neon.

Lien needed to breath again.

The comment was better off through deaf ears. Asger's jaw twitched most likely missed in the dim multi color lights that flashed in different areas of the room. Kind words, a gentle touch and kind eyes were a fools thought and there was absolutely nothing kind lingered in those deep brown eyes that starred back at him. Her words were pure ice, a bare chill to his otherwise stagnant features. Lips pursed into a thin line as he shook his head slightly. " You think that it was a choice for me to just come back to you and you stand there and say you paid for my mistakes?". His shoulders rotated at the time his neck tilted slightly to the right. " Giving you the gift of immortality wasn't a burden when I gave it to you, what you asked of me" His voice low, brown eyes dancing around small tender features that were anything but.

A bastard huh? Lien brushed past him before he could open his mouth again. That agonizing scent that was so familiar and different at the same time. She was a woman who had found company of this...establishment, the rumors of her nature and how fierce and dominating was one that Asger had to slowly wrap his head around. Tonight was but a simple taste if even that, nothing to compare with hushed stories spoken in hushed whispers from people who were so afraid to speak about it out loud and it made Asger wonder just how much things had changed. Certainly the company in a night walker establishment was branding enough and left a sour taste in his mouth.

His feet stayed rooted to the ground as his nose took the the faint sent until the mixture of liquor and sweat took over and he moved outside to find Vali flipping a coin as his upper body rested against the wall. " Took ya long enough. You know her?...the clubs infamous muscle and "she bitch" herself" Asger's eyebrow raised and Vali coughed before pushing himself off the wall. " Well it's what most people call her after dealing with her wrath. She's in real nice with those night walkers...guess they don't might having a beast around if benefits them". Asger said nothing, the crunching of gravel underneath his black dress shoes were the only noise until Vali reached for his keys and made a motion to the vehicle. " You coming?"

" Go on without me" He passed the curly haired male towards the abundance of rocks and trees that made this place an ideal spot to live..at least for his beast to be released. The bass of the music faded, padding feet against crouching twigs and grass underneath his feet as he ran, faster. His body felt hot despite the breeze against his body from the speed he was going, despite the hairs on his forearm rising up he felt like he was on fire. It was that damn scent. The scent that had trapped his nose inside the club. It had been faint at first more like added fuel to an overplayed torment that quickly became reality when his eyes landed on Lien and the sent only grew stronger and worse when she brushed past him.

Clenched hands that knuckles whitened slightly before his fingers move up to undo his buttons. His breathing was ragged as sweat beads trailed down and he could feel his body shifting. His shirt was tossed against a tree, shoes that followed sloppily and his neck craned in agitation. The smell wouldn't go away. It was mere minutes though moderate but bearable pain before his shift was complete and his beast was free, agitated by the air he breathed and the stench of memories that never really left.

The world had fallen upon it's axis, leaving Lien short of breath and barely in control of volatile emotions. Silent asphyxiation, before the reckoning of her beast. His had come to call once upon a time, howling beneath her bedroom window. A sweet and sincere serenade, made for her and the full moon.

The smell of open air and wilderness had at once whisked itself against fine nostrils as she inhaled deeply, but he was still there --- eagerly torturing every sense and step. The deep void within had opened up, threatening to devour everyone and all as the monster beneath wished to ravage the populace, and fill itself full. Could she hold that hunger within and show herself again to him? To do so would be a lie. A quick facade to save the face which murdered in cold blood for abrupt satisfaction. Lien inhaled once more, before slipping into the shelter of trees that Borneo happened to provide. The crunch of footsteps beneath a canopy of green foliage had been heard, as she began to track them and follow.

The change was still as agonizing as the first -- the woman had never gained the experiences that were needed to make it effortless and when it overtook that delicate frame, every alteration could be heeded. Thick lashes fluttered sporadically as the full transformation had begun. Joints popped out of place in order to make room for elongated limbs. Bones cracked beneath the pressure to grow. Clothes ripped into tatters. Even the woman's moon kissed skin looked as though it were crawling against it's frame until onyx fur began to sprout. She was beast and beauty, now guided by ruthless instincts. Lien's human now drowned beneath bright pools of areolin as human thoughts had been replaced by snarls and growls.

UYI1YMG.jpg

She who was once Lien now stood to it's full height, and called at the night sky. A howl belted out from it's neck, taunting Asger to seek it out.
