The Allied Kingdoms are a small nation comprised of both Elven and Human lands who came together as allies for centuries after warring with both each other and the orcs. Humans migrated from the East after sailing to the Northlyn Continent, first settling in Sol'Davur on the edge of the Woodlands of Valnahar. The orcs removed them from their settlement decades later, though never occupied the space due to it being so close to Sur lands.

For most of the First Era, the elves took to their own homelands. Naveri lived in Eversyth, Sur in the Woodlands of Valnahar, and the Vuaturi remained nomadic within their flying constructs. It wasn't until the end of the First Era that they were forced to all live within Eversyth, the Sur creating Emalnahar as their new capital.

Humans split between three lands: Thallas, Baladur, and Faledrin. When the Baladuri came to occupy the Northern Mountains, they found that there were native humans already established within the cold terrain. These humans migrated a century before.

Despite the dysfunction towards the end of the First Era and the First War Against Magic in the Second Era, The Allied Kingdoms kept its name even after the humans were driven from the continent all together.

Syth is the capital city of the lands of Eversyth, home to the elves known as the Naveri within the First Era. It is the central hub for all things magical within the Allied Kingdoms, and every caster is welcome in Syth's grand and ancient halls. The most prestigious magical school is located in Syth, simply called the Academy of Magic. Towards the end of the First Era and into the Second Era, Naveri shared Eversyth with the Sur and Vuaturi elves.

Northern Eversyth borders a Neutral Land where the Dragon Wardens presided in most of the late First Era. After the Divide and on into the Second Era, Northern Eversyth borders Thallas and Edros. It is mostly divided from Edros by the ever expanding Twisted Woods.

To the East is Thallas, and to the West is Edros. Southern Eversyth carries part of the Cliffs of Anova along the Glassy Sea, though the River Hemnen marks the end of these beautiful cliffs.

Eversyth is rightly known for having some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Allied Kingdoms, and arguably the whole of the Northlyn Continent. Emalnahar, a Sur settlement established after the Divide just before the Second Era, rests within the Pillars; small jutting cliffs that tower above the bioluminescent treeline.

The Woodlands of Valnahar was home to the Sur for thousands of years. The capital, Folhath, was established after the Sundering and after the First Orcish War. Sur have kept to the Woodlands to preserve it, building their homes around the sturdy trees. It was also home to the Veridian Fae who were unfortunately wiped out during Queen Malan's reign.

The trees of these dense forests are known to be the tallest and sturdiest in the world. They stretch for miles through hills and even a modest mountain range that spans from the Southern border up North towards the Orcish Lands. Most of the Woodlands remained untouched in the First Era until the orcs invaded once again. The later years of the First Era gave the Woodlands its first scar within its vast treeline where eventually the orcs took over the land as the Sur were forced from their homes.

During the Second Era, the Sur were eventually able to win back their homeland. Eversyth became overpopulated with elves as the three elven races were confined to the Naveri homeland. With the aid of their kin and the shift of orcish alliances, the Sur took back the Woodlands and rebuilt. New trees were planted in the unnatural clearings eventually creating a bizarre addition to the Woodlands. The newly planted trees eventually grew into striking trees with white, almost crystalline-like bark. When the wind blew through these trees, they would whistle instead of groan. These trees could not be cut down, at least not easily, and remained one of the few undamaged things within the Woodlands after the Umbramancers reigned.

When humans first migrated to Southlyn, they first colonized just above the Woodlands of Valnahar in what was Sol'davur. When the orcs discovered their trespassing decades later, they were nearly wiped out. The survivors were led to safety by a man named Thallas who guided them through the Woodlands, eventually coming across plainsland. Grassy lands stretched for miles untouched and uncared for, but these humans knew the soil was rich and prime for agriculture. And so the unclaimed land was declared Thallas after the man who guided them to safety.

Thallas is the largest human kingdom in the Allied Kingdoms. To the South is the Glassy Sea where Port Ranoul presides as the only port after the Cliffs of Anova. Faledrin and the Woodlands of Valnahar touch its Eastern borderline. Baladur is to the North where the border just reaches the Northern Mountains, and to the West is the Twisted Woods, the Neutral Lands, and Eversyth. Thallas is rich in farmland that comprises most of its terrain. Due to their successful agriculture, they are the main source of food for everyone in the Allied Kingdoms.

The Harvest Market takes place every year at the start of Autumn and presides within Thallas's capital, Rosenfall. Merchants gather from all Kingdoms to buy and trade at Harvest Market, and it is one of the most prosperous times in the year. Citizens of Thallas are the wealthiest and most well off of the human Kingdoms rivaling the prosperity of their neighbors, the Naveri. The royal house of Thallas is one of the most powerful and influential entities in the Allied Kingdoms.

Towards the end of the First Era, the Allied Kingdoms suffered as Thallas attempted to wipe out the Dragon Wardens after assuming they were responsible for the massacre of Edlenfeld. The famine that ensued due to growing Shadow activity had minimal impact on Thallas. Eventually, the orcs marched to mount an attack on Thallas shifting the focus eventually back to the Shadow threat.

In the Second Era, one of the first cities to be attacked by the Naveri was Rosenfall. With the aid of a magically propelled mechanical army, the humans were driven from the Allied Kingdoms into Edros, and eventually out of Southlyn entirely.

When the humans were driven from Sol'davur, there was an unintentional split as a band of survivors had been separated from Thallas. They were forced into the harsh Northern Mountains as they were tracked by orcs to eventually be slaughtered. It was there they encountered human natives, much to their confusion. They had been living in the Northern Mountain for centuries and taught the survivors of Sol'davur how to thrive in the colder climate and higher altitude. No one knows how those humans ended up in the Northern Mountains, but without them the others would have surely died. They were able to push back the orcs well enough for them to retreat.

For the most part, the natives kept to themselves offering aid only if necessary. Baladur was eventually established as a kingdom with Northal as its capital. Most of the First Era was spent in civil conflicts or even wars in attempts to force the natives under their power. Slavery became common, often comprising of both natives and Baladuri. Slaves were made to work in many of the mines to provide the primary source of trade. Thallas attempted to force the King to abolish slavery or be forced out of the Allied Kingdoms, but due to threats of war it was never acted upon. It wasn't until the Second Era under a new king that Baladur left the natives alone.

Further into the Second Era, most of the Baladuri and natives were pushed out of the lands by the mechanical army. There were some who managed to stay behind, but due to the hostilities they remained hidden within the mountains to eventually dwindle in numbers and die out.

Early in the migration led by Thallas, there was a more intentional split among the humans as they sought to find land to call their home. Those deemed miscreants were exiled and forced to find some place else to live far and away from what had been claimed. Faledrin was formed starting in Windfeld as those deemed unfit for Thallas found their own way. To this, Faledrin has always been seen as a Kingdom of fools and a cesspool of criminals.

If it weren't for their fishermen and whalers, Faledrin would have likely been deemed unimportant to the Allied Kingdoms. But their harvested whale oil was far too valuable to neglect the kingdom. The Sur tolerated Faledrin and respected them for respecting the Woodlands. Their trade was minimal once the Vuaturi invented Everfire.

Faledrin has always been known for its internal social struggles. Centuries of oppression was endured as the noble class soaked up any wealth with ease. The poor were often left to starve, and many attempted to flee into Thallas or the Woodlands of Valnahar. Few were able to get far before being forcibly returned to their homeland.

To Faledrin's East lies Sus filled with humans of a more barbaric nature. Fleeing into these lands was often met with death, though never swiftly. To the South is Maldvir, and while the Maldviri were a more generous sort, Fallenites would have to trek through miles of desert before they could get to civilization. Due to the waters being heavily patrolled by Faledrin ships, it was difficult to smuggle citizens into Maldviri ports, especially due to the moral conflict that would arise for the Maldviri.

It is rumored that the Cult of Thieves presides in Windfeld's Underbelly. While not exclusive to petty theft, these alleged "thieves" act against Faledrin's nobility which often, in turn, serves the poor. To this they are revered despite the anonymity and uncertainty of this organization.

During the Second Era, the upper echelon was eventually completely wiped out, including the royal house. As the Thalls were driven from their homes, Faledrin seemed to have been mostly disregarded by the mechanical army. They remain as one of the few human colonies in Northlyn before being forced into slavery.
