The Hex Breaker (OOC)

Don't tick off Adelardus the Great, he's a very powerful sorcerer and curses rotten beings who dare to cross him. Some say that he turns you into horrible animals, some say that he curses you to be a fool, others say he turns you into an older version of you, but of course, you never know you have done it until it happened.

That was a tale you had heard from a young age, but it was just a tall tale. It is modern day and there isn't such a thing as a sorcerer who can do this. Yes, there are different creatures who live on the Earth who weren't common, but the tale of Adelardus was just that. A tale.

At least that is what you thought until the day you ticked off a local man from your town dressed in black. May you be a human or some other creature, the next morning you woke up, considerably older from the teenage years you had been the night before and for some, the aging wasn't perfect and were unrecognizable to your family. The legends are true and there is only one cure that has ever been told to you, the Hex Breaker.

With only your wit to guide, you have a quest to undertake. There is perhaps only one man who can help in town, one Todd(Short for Toddly) Notta Sorcerer who knows where the Hex Breaker is. Of course things are never that easy and another group is also all out to break the curse. Look likes it is a race to obtain the Hex Breaker and break your curse.

So, yeah this is an idea where a group of really stubborn teenagers insult an old sorcerer and are cursed to be adults and must undergo an epic quest to find the cure to their curse. .. did I mention you only have a week to get this done? Because, if you don't, you will be stuck as you are... forever.

This is a self-contained RP. You don't need knowledge of previous roleplays and will just follow the quest to find and retrieve the Hex Breaker. If there is interest in continuing, we can continue it.

This will be following all Iwaku rules and I'm capping it at 15 characters( Not including my own)

For the purpose of this RP, you only need to make one character, but can make up to three. ( Only one backwards ager of the three though)

Griffin was not semi-well built with pushed back brown hair and brown eyes. He typically would wear black sweaters and jeans and also would wear a watch. He also has a scar over his left hand from a few bullying incidents. He also has a grey blazer that he occasionally likes to wear. He also has a red band on his wrist that he wears to advertise his nightclub that he inherited from his father. He also stands at 5'8 inches tall. He wears black gloves and carries a brown suitcase


Face claim: Bryan Dechart

Griffin is now more well built when he becomes older and measures in about 6 feet tall. His pushed back brown hair is more styled and as he couldn't find clothes that matched his old clothes, he wears a Spider-Man t-shirt, a grey blazer, a grey scarf and a watch. The scar over his left hand is less evident than most. He still wears the red band on his wrist to advertise his night club that he inherited from his father. He also wears grey jeans and sneakers instead of his shoes. He wears leather gloves and carries a suitcase still.

Personality: Griffin is a very laid back type of guy who likes to help when he can. He is extremely kind to everyone he meets and isn't afraid to be friendly. He also has a knack for empathizing with people quickly and is very easy going. Unlike most, Griffin doesn't hold back on his opinions, but is honest in the nicest way that he can be.

Race/Species: Phoenix

Powers ( If any): Pyrokinesis- Griffin can summon flames and manipulate them

Transformation- Griffin can transform into a phoenix form and back. Sadly, the clothes don't exactly survive the process.

Incentration touch- If Griffin concentrates, he can turn people to ash, but he doesn't prefer too and tries to avoid this at all costs.

Abilities ( If Any): Reincarnation- As a phoenix, if Griffin dies, he often becomes ashes and reforms a few hours later, but doesn't remember much of what happened before.

Regeneration- Griffin regenerates a little bit faster than most.

Skills: He has good peoples skills, he is also a skilled businessman and knows how to flirt a little. Griffin also knows to use a chair as a weapon. Making false documents and working his charm.

Extra: Unlike most who were cursed, Griffin chose to be older and assist the group in traveling in exchange for a spell that would allow his nightclub to fit in a suitcase and be traveling. He knows a secret about one of the group members.

Jack has sandy blonde ( closer to brown) hair that is short and barely comes to his eyes. He is relatively average in height and stands at 5'7 inches. He has an average weight, being no fatter or thinner than most people his age and not very well built. He traditionally wears glasses and a blue t-shirt with blue jeans along with sneakers over his grey hoodie. His eyes are green in color and he has an average facial features. He has a scar on his left hand

Jack has brown hair that is short and barely comes to his eyes. He now stands at 6'7 inches tall . He has an average build, have a small amount of definition now to his body. He does not need his glasses and still wears a blue t-shirt with blue jeans along with sneakers over his grey hoodie. His eyes are more emerald in color and he now has a very short beard. He has a scar on his left hand. He is also slightly dark skinned.

Personality: Jackson is the friend you know who is gullible and believes whatever you tell him. He is very happy and go-lucky, often finding the best in the worst situation. He is also very friendly and helps those in need. He however can have a temper in someone manages to tick him off and can hold a grudge.

Powers: Magical/ Mana resistance- Unlike most, he has a resistant to mental changes in his mind caused by spells. He also isn't affected by most spells that would cause damage

As a GM, I'm going to try to get a post out once a week or once every two weeks in more story driven talks ( Depending on who responds and my own free time once school start) and for fights, I'm going to respond as soon as three people post just so it doesn't go too slow, just to let you guys know.

Extra: At a certain point before the group woke up, a doppelganger took the place of Jacob Wood, it is uncertain what happened to the original one. When the doppelganger was shot by Richard's stray bullet, he adopted the appearance of the nearest people ( Xander and Jackson) who had been picking him up. As a newly formed doppelganger, Jaxob will be picking up his personality, appearance and quirks from the group. He is essentially a blank slate.

Michael has his brown hair pushed to the side in a style in a very precise way. He has brown eyes and a beard that connects to his hair on both sides. He often wears a leather jacket with multiple zippers as well as a black t-shirt. He wears a pair of black jeans and sneakers. He has a scar on his right hand from an accident when he was younger. He also stands at 6'2. He is lanky, but does have some hidden muscle depth and can lift heavy objects


After he is cursed, Michael stands at 5'5 inches tall and has an extremely lanky build with no muscles. His hair becomes a lighter brown and he has a hat with a smile phrase on it. He also is wearing a blue shirt with a smiley face on it. His eyes are blue now. He wears sneakers along with a wrist watch that doesn't work. The scar on his right hand had seemingly vanished from sight for now, but he now has a scar on his chest. He also wears blue jeans in this form.
Personality: Despite thinking he is his son, Mike still has his determined nature to tackle any problem and refuse to give up. He is determined and can often be seen as stubborn as he won't change his view. He has a deep fear that he isn't good enough and it manifests in anxious tendencies. He can cut back, but it takes a long to do that. He also is highly protective of his son.

History ( Can be RPed out): Michael was the son of a very wealthy family and was the perfect child to them. Once, he reached high school, he started to make reckless decisions and eventually wound up having unsafe sex with his high school sweetheart. Despite everyone's protest that they were too young, Michael and his girlfriend kept the baby. However, this came at the cost of Michael's family disowning him. Unfortunately, that was not the worst of his troubles as his fiancé ( he had proposed) died in child labor. His son Determined as ever, Mike took everything he had left and did his best to raise his son. He was doing fine until he and his son swindled the wrong person.

He has a scar on his chest as he had to have open heart surgery as he was born early and didn't have a high prospect to live. He also wears a pair of blue jeans to match.

He has a natural curious nature for things that have happen. He is abrasive and often does things without thinking. He however know how to reel himself in and be serious, but rarely did.

He has known to adjust and to be clever in getting what he wants. He lived his life normally until his father and him swindled the wrong person and they are here now.

Extra: Due to his weak mental resistance to the spell, he believes he is his father, Michael Hall. He doesn't know his grandparents disowned his father and believes they are dead. He is close with his father and knows most about his life. Aidan is still exploring his sexuality as he is only 15, but he leans more towards pansexual like his father

Combined GM Note for them: The sorcerer purposefully made it so that they look like the other to teach them both a lesson in responsibility. He did not realize at the time that they had such low mental resistance.
