Rules Basic Sheet Raw Code

  • This thread is for characters. HOWEVER, that does not mean you can just throw a character in here. Please PM the filled out "Basic Sheet" in a single group PM to both myself and @Cicatrix. Once the character is accepted, please post the fully-coded sheet in this thread.

    The code is in a uniform template, but feel free to change around the colors and images! If you have trouble with the CS's code, go ahead and let me know. I will be able to put your character's information and any color/images that you want into it. Keep in mind that the code is rather complex, so to avoid code glitching out and duplicating, make sure your RTE (Rich Text Editor) is off whenever you touch the code. It can be toggled by clicking on the small gear on the top of your text box.

APPEARANCE

Basic
Allison is tall and well-built, not exactly skinny but not overweight. She sports shoulder length red-auburn hair to match hazel eyes. Her skin is tanned and light freckles speckle her nose. She's rarely seen without her glasses on, as she is, in her own words, "blind as a molasses-covered bat".

Scars
Since Allison is an older hero, she bears plenty of battle scars. The most noticeable one is the one that slashes across her nose to her right cheekbone, though she tends to try and keep it covered. The rest of them aren't too bad, though the palm of her left hand is pockmarked with seven marks that look similar to giant needle scars.


Piercings
She has a piercing on each ear, but Allison doesn't really wear jewelry all that often. More often than not, she wears simple silver studs, small enough that they aren't easily noticeable- and so nothing can catch on them.

Mutations
Really, the only reason Allison was ever classified as a Rank 3 superhuman was her mutation and the fact that she had a power to accompany it. She bears three-inch claws on each of her four fingers' first knuckle- much like a built-in clawed brass knuckle.

Birthmarks
A small dark splotch decorates the front of her left shoulder.

Typical Clothing
Allison likes long sleeves and vests, and she's often seen wearing leggings and black converse. Most of the times, the shoes and vests are the only dark accents she wears- she tends to lean more toward 'warm' colors- oranges, creams, yellows, and reds.

POWER

Contrary to popular belief, Allison does not have fire powers. Instead, the true power she possesses lies inside her mind. From a young age, she was considered a prodigy, but when the chemical spill happened, she quickly ascended to genius level.

She builds gadgets, suits, and weapons to help both herself and other heroes on the job. Some say she relies on her tech too much, but she chooses to ignore such accusations. Her suit allows her to swing around the city on grappling hooks, and to expel fire from her gloves.


WEAKNESSES

When stripped of her tech, Allison is left with only her knuckle claws, fighting spirit, and wit. She can dodge punches, but not so much bullets. For all intents and purposes, she may as well be a normal human when without armor.

Allison has terrible eyesight, so much so that she can barely see her own hands when her glasses aren't on. Thus, if deprived of such assistive technology, she will be practically unable to fight.

Despite having been a hero for nearly twenty years, Allison is still a bit naiive. She can be manipulated if she truly belives her actions are helping people. Because of this, she struggles to make desicions in the battlefield and tends to try to solve things without dispute...unfortunately, that's something that doesn't always work.


ARSENAL

Supersuit
Allison's suit is a blend of dark grey and orange metal. A dark grey metal cowl shrouds her face in shadow, and a drop-down orange computer display can appear and disappear at her will- either as a makeshift facemask or as a way to keep up-to-date on crimes happening nearby. The suit is form-fitting yet protective, and the darker colors help her to blend in with the concrete jungle of the city. The bootstraps, glove and gauntlet accents, and racing stripes up her legs are all a burnt orange color, helping to add a splash of color without making her a target. A burnt orange spider sillouette resides on the back of her neck.

Her gloves surround her knuckle claws with metal, even plating the backs of them to protect them- but still allowing her to use them as weapons.

Weapons
Allison has two arm cannons on her lower arms that contain light but incredibly strong grappling hooks that she uses for both transportation and fighting supplements. Similar-looking gauntlets adorn her upper arm, allowing her to shoot incredibly hot jets of flame at enemies.

As a last resort, she also carries a small dagger in her boot.

PERSONA

Basic Personality
Allison is best described as 'quirky'. She's a fun-loving, happy woman who usually has a snack on hand and plenty of hugs to give. More often than not, she's seen in her lab with a hot coffee on hand and all sorts of half-finished projects strewn about her, but she'll still invite people in to just sit and chat while she works. The woman is the self-designated 'mom friend' of the group, and she bears that role with pride. If anyone has a problem, she probably has a degree to fix it.

Mannerisms and Quirks
The inventor tends to run her hands through her hair a lot when it's loose, which ends up leaving streaks of grease in it when she's been doing hands-on things.

She slouches quite a bit, especially when she's working, so she can often be seen stretching and trying to get her joints to pop. She knows it's bad for her....maybe she just doesn't care.

BIO

Born to a family of doctors and scientists, Allison was always expected to be a smart one. And, to no one's surprise, she really was. Despite her parent's standoffishness, they took care of her, and though she didn't have what one would call a 'close relationship' with them, she did appreciate their efforts. There's not really much to say about her earlier life, as she was simply another prodigy of a child in a world full of prodigies- though she did enjoy physical activity and often enrolled in classes for various dance styles and martial arts.

At fifteen, she graduated high school with flying colors and immediately began applying for colleges. Allison didn't really have an idea of what she wanted to do, so she was just going to become a doctor like her father. After all....she was too young to decide for herself anyway, and her father had always seemed to know best.

Then the spill happened. Even though they were across town from the explosion, Allison's neighborhood wasn't protected- and it was soon found that the rest of the world couldn't expect to be protected, either. She wasn't effected, at least not at first, and found herself too busy with being accepted into college to be concerned with spills that didn't concern her- or, as it seemed, anyone else.

Two months after the spill, Allison cut herself on her own knuckles, and looked down to find that they had started to rip through her skin- pointed bone outcroppings, tearing themselves from her hands. She was a mutant.

At the time, fear was still running rampant at the sudden changes people were developing. Her parents cast her out of the family, cutting off all contact with her. The college rejected her when she showed up at her dorm. For a few months, Allison lived on the streets, left with nothing but her skills and wit, the clothes in a single bag, her knuckle claws....and her college curriculum.

She had taken it when she was kicked from the school, in a wild, desperate hope that she would be accepted again and could catch up with her peers. But what she found when she finally opened the books was astonishing. Everything was....understandable, and immediately. On top of that, she was faster at reading than she ever had been before. In one night, she finished the entire semester's worth of books.

Perhaps she had been given something else from the spill.

Allison threw herself into her work, visiting libraries across the city and even sneaking into the college library once or twice to just inhale information from all sorts of sciences. She would sit for hours in coffee shops, surfing the Web for any free textbooks she could find.

After three months of learning and gathering, she made her first grappling hook gauntlets, and set off to do what she had always known she should- save people. It was a rough start at first, and she earned herself more than a few bruises, cuts, and close calls with the police, but if anything, she was a fast learner.

Soon, she had upgraded her suit to include her fire powers, and she rose through the ranks quickly to become a well-known vigilante. Her tendancy to tangle opponenent's legs and swing/parkour around the city quickly earned her the title of "Huntswoman", a reference to the Huntsman spider. She accepted the alias and added the spider sillouette to her quickly-updating costume.

After five years of this routine, she was reached out to by the local police force with an offer to work for them. She accepted, and was placed in a special-ops team of other superhuman vigilantes- and was given the chance to continue her schooling, which she accepted. It was from this small group that the first team of heroes came, and now, despite her team's disbanding, she's eager to train and support the next generation.

Basic
Slate is a tall, buff man with toned muscles and a strong aura about him. His raven-black hair is usually messy and windblown, and kept cut to the nape of his neck. His eyes are silver-blue, peircing orbs that seem to stare into your very soul.

Scars
Being a superhero comes with its fair share of scar-inducing events, and his skin has turned into a map of trauma. The most prominent is a long slash down his back from his right shoulder to his left hip.

His left arm has a winding pattern of dark feathers that fall from his shoulder to around his elbow.

Mutations
Slate has a pair of dark, human-sized raven wings that arch from his back, allowing him to fly.

His right foot has a black dot right on the bottom of his heel.

Typical Clothing
Slate dresses smartly- slacks with white blazers and long coats are often his go-to outfits. He wears dress shoes or nice boots most of the time, although he tends to like to walk around in just socks if at all possible.

POWER

Alongside his wings, Slate has the ability to manipulate wind. He can use this to make himself faster in the air, create mini tornadoes, change the direction of flying objects, or even create shockwaves of strong air with his wings. With enough concentration, he can even lift other people into the air.

WEAKNESSES

His wings are big targets. Should they be shot, he would be grounded until they healed. The same thing applies to almost any harm done to his wings.

If it's raining, it tends to be a bit more difficult for Slate to fly around.

His wind manipulation cannot be used as a shield- it can only be used to divert projectiles coming at him.

ARSENAL

Supersuit
Slate's main suit is a dark grey kevlar-woven skintight jumpsuit. A hood adorns his head and a pair of black and purple goggles hides his eyes from view. Purple-laced boots and purple accented gloves and a belt complete the outfit and add a small splash of color.

Weapons
He is typically a long-range fighter, so he always carries a large rifle with him which he can use to snipe from the air. Slate is skilled with dual pistols and a knife in close combat, so he always has his set of pistols and a dagger with him just in case.

PERSONA

Basic Personality
Slate is a quiet man, often described as 'brooding' or 'edgy'. Really, he just prefers to not talk to people and instead likes to observe in silence. Once someone gets close to him, he will open up a bit, but even his close friends can't really get him to talk much.

Mannerisms and Quirks
Slate likes to ruffle his wings when he gets nervous or annoyed, and they are more expressive than his face sometimes. If you're feeling unsure on what he's feeling, usually his wings will betray what his eyes won't.

When he's confused, he tends to cock his head to the side like a bird and squint his eyes in frustration.


BIO

Slate grew up in a dysfunctional family, where both parents were involved in illegal drug activities. He was never close to them and stuck to his studies despite struggling in school. When he graduated, he immediatly began working to join the police force, hoping to put an end to all the crime that he had been forced into as a child. Only a year after his induction, however, the chemical spill happened.

He began to notice soon after the accident that his shoulders and back had started to itch. One day, while looking in the mirror, he figured out exactly why that was. Black feathers had started to sprout from his back. He was at first counted as a Rank 1, and thus could stay in the police force. Soon, however, it was found that it was much more than just a couple of raven feathers.

During a gunfight one day where Slate was present, the wind was acting...strange. Bullets from the gang members flew off course, and though most of his comrades died in the engagement, Slate was left unscathed. Later viewings of the tapes, and witnesses surrounding the event, all pointed to the fact that the man had some sort of wind power that remained untapped and uncontrolled. All the while, more and more feathers were growing, turning into something bigger and stronger. Wings.

He was kicked out of the police force at twenty, and despite being stripped of his guns and any access to weapons revoked, he became a vigilante, slowly learning to hone his powers and fly, turning himself into a walking weapon. Just because he wasn't official didn't mean he couldn't complete his goal.

After five years, he was reached out to by the force that had shunned him.

Even though they were the very people that had kicked him out and betrayed him, he accepted the offer- a team, after all, would be welcome, and he wasn't too opposed to the idea of getting paid for such strenuous work. Now, despite not exactly wanting to, he has been assigned to train the next team of superhumans, and he accepts the duty with resolve.

OTHER

One of Slate's hobbies that he keeps close to his chest is cooking. He tends to not talk about it or speak of it to strangers, finding it almost embarrassing despite the fact that his cooking is nearly unrivaled.

Aiden has light blue hair and silver-blue eyes. She's short but thin and lithe. Her skin is quite pale and blemish-free. She carries herself in a way that makes people on edge- as if she could go off at any second, and they don't know if it's a good thing or a bad one.

She has a few from minor injuries here and there, but the most prevalent one is on the right side of her stomach, which cuts from her bellybutton around to her tailbone.

Aiden is often taken for a punk type, thanks to her blue hair and her tendency to wear dark clothes. She dresses casually, with band tees and dark skinny jeans. She prefers combat boots over converse, but wears dark colors of both, depending on how she's feeling that day. POWER

Aiden can teleport, bending time and space to her will so she can appear and disappear in different places within moments. She doesn't make portals or any other thing that could be taken as a doorway, she simply disappears and pops back into existence half a second later.


WEAKNESSES

Aiden can only teleport a maximum distance of two miles, and only to places within her line of sight. This means she cannot teleport inside a building or room unless she can see the place she wants to be.

She is still vulnerable to attacks if one could get a line of sight on her and she stayed still long enough to hit.

Her temper is notoriously short, and she can get overwhelmingly upset if someone's insult hurts her enough. This makes her brash and unpredictable, and she could potentially harm others beyond her intentions.

Supersuit
Aiden's suit is a woven black kevlar with dark blue accents. Racing stripes run up her legs and a belt with four large pockets rests on her hips. Instead of a mask or a hood, she wears a black helmet with a blue-tinted electronic plasteel facemask. Her boots are black and have silver buckles and blue straps, and her black gloves are fingerless.

Aiden has a love for explosions, so she carries a few grenades on her person when on the job- just in case. Her main weapon, however, is a pair of daggers that she sinks into her opponent's backs. She doesn't care much for guns, and only carries a small pistol as a backup ranged weapon.

Basic Personality
Aiden is, in a word, a firecracker (which, not-so-coincidentally, ended up being her alias). She's very cocky and spontaneous, and tends to have problems with authority- which gets her into trouble more often than she'd care to admit. She's fun-loving and has a fondness for pulling pranks and cracking jokes, even when it's not exactly the best time or place for it.

She often claims she doesn't need anyone and that she's fine being a lone wolf, but in reality, that's just a wall she built to prevent herself feeling connections. She has abandonment issues and doesn't really understand when people try to connect with her. Aiden has rarely progressed past 'acquaintance' with anyone due to her nearly obsessive actions when anyone shows her true kindness.

Mannerisms and Quirks
Despite her explosive personality, Aiden is quiet about what she is in her 'civilian' personality. She hides her dog tags in her shirt and doesn't like to admit what she is.

She tends to hunch her shoulders a lot and cock one hip out when standing. Her typical sitting position when at a table is a slouch, with her chin resting on her fist.

BIO

Aiden was born a mutant to a poor family, who already had four children. At first, they did their best to raise her, and for two years, she was treated as a normal part of their struggling family. It was on her second birthday when it was revealed that she was much more than just a Rank 1. She started popping in and out of existence- one second she was watching television, and the next she was sitting on top of the fridge and reaching for the cleaning supplies.

She was turned into foster care at three when her frazzled parents, unable to keep up with a teleporting, uncontrolled child, let her go. She was placed into a new, specialized government boarding school, where she was ranked, given her dog tags, and taught to suppress and ignore her powers. She was practically raised in the school along with a plethora of other abandoned children, and soon grew aloof and rebellious. Secretly, she practiced her powers and started hiding her tags in her shirt.

At sixteen, she was put into juvenile detention for breaking and entering- she and a group of other teens from the school had pulled a heist on a large mansion on the outside of town. A year later, she broke out of prison and began her life of crime. Aiden and a small group of powered mutants began to rob banks and jewelry stores. It was during this time that she became proficient with weapons and explosives.

The day she turned nineteen, she was caught and sent to a high-security prison. She was there for three months, at which point ASA reached out to her with an offer- she could rot in prison, or become a hero.

She chose the second option.

While this substance may at first seem to be seperate from his body, it is actually part of him as his mutation has left his body in a state of flux between gas and solid. At a relaxed state, Benjamin’s body is naturally solid, albeit still being obscured by the smoke substance. With his power, however, Benjamin is able to condense all of his body back into a solid or push his body apart, achieving a completely gaseous state.

Typical Clothing
Benjamin generally tries to hide as much of his mutation as possible. As such, he is usually seen wearing long sleeved, hooded jackets or sweaters as well as jeans or long trousers that cover his entire lower body. He also owns a variety of gloves in order for him to hide his hands. Grey, brown, and other neutral colors are Benjamin’s preference.

POWER

Besides limited intangibility, Benjamin’s mutation grants him limited shapeshifting as he is capable of squeezing his body into small spaces when he is in his gas form. As he recondences himself, he is only able to return to his human form.


Benjamin possesses the ability to manipulate heat. A power that requires concentration, it allows him to not only heat but also cool down objects and medium in his range. The limits to this power can be extreme as Benjamin has been able to ionize the air around him via heat into plasma as well as cool helium into a liquid. Such feats do require a great amount of time and concentration, however, so reaching such levels in the middle of a fight or other event that requires his attention would be impossible.

It is through this power that Benjamin is able to transition states, heating his body up to become gas and cooling it to become solid. As such, the temperature of the air around his body noticeably changes whenever he changes states.

WEAKNESSES

The intangibility Benjamin possesses in his gas state only allows objects smaller than him to pass through. He cannot phase through solid objects larger than him such as a wall. If cracks or holes exist in the object, Benjamin could squeeze his body through though the smaller the opening, the greater effort it takes for him to do so. It is also possible to spread Benjamin’s gaseous body via some force such as wind. Doing so will force Benjamin to stop whatever he is doing in order to focus on pulling himself back together.


While it is almost impossible to do any harm to Benjamin by physical means when he is in his gaseous form, energy and psionic attacks are extremely effective regardless of which state he is in. Heat based attacks such as fire or laser is capable of burning Benjamin, even in his gas form, while other energy based attacks such as sound or explosions will scatter his body. Psionic attacks are can disrupt the concentration Benjamin needs in order to use his power. It could even knock him out if the attacker is strong enough.


Besides the basic needs of a normal human, Benjamin needs to absorb a certain amount of heat in order to function. The source of this heat does not matter though it may not be under 30 C nor over 100 C. Anything above 200 C will harm him. If Benjamin is unable to absorb heat for an extended amount of time, his body will fall into a hibernation like state where he will have only 24 hrs to regain heat before he passes away.

ARSENAL

Supersuit
Because Benjamin dislikes displaying his mutation, his suit covers the entirety of his body in thick dark and silver metal plating. Mechanical parts can be seen throughout the entire suit, most visible around the joints. The suit still has an organic feel to it, however, as it use of synthetic muscles and tendons offers the user reinforced physical performance without sacrificing mobility and flexibility. An integrated computer also exists in the suit, providing the user with an on board assistant.
The suit’s black helmet appears completely featureless at first but actually hides a number of sensors which the computer processes before displaying it for the user on a heads up display.

Weapons
It would not be wrong to say that Benjamin’s suit is more weapon than armor. While the suit is impressively tough and it lacks any fire power of its own, the enhanced physical strength and speed the suit gives its user allows them to lift fully equipped soldiers with a single limb as well as sprint up to 50 mph maximum. Furthermore, a sound dampener and active camouflage system make the suit almost impossible to detect though they can only be active while the user is completely still.

While Benjamin is most comfortable using his fists in a fight, he cannot deny that firearms are pretty much a necessity in order to survive in modern day combat. As such, he carries a high caliber battle rifle as well as a handgun as a side arm.

Basic Personality
Benjamin is a quiet man and a big believer in “speak softly and carry a large stick”. In conversation, he mostly listens, keeping his thoughts to himself. When he does speak however, he can come off as rude to those unfamiliar with him due to his straightforward attitude. Despite his preference to listen rather than talk, Benjamin can be a surprisingly quick talker.

He has no problem with following orders on the field though he has made it clear that he works best when given room to act autonomously. As such, he prefers assignments that require little to no oversight such as espionage and assassination. Observant, adaptable, and confident, Benjamin is a perfectionist who keeps a level head regardless of the situation. Benjamin has proven himself to be proficient in unarmed combat as well as improvised weaponry. He is also capable of using firearms though he tends to avoid them as he finds them unnecessarily loud and clumsy.

On missions, Benjamin prefers quiet, simple, and clean approaches, leaving minimum damages and casualties without a trace that he was ever present. To this end, Benjamin rarely ever brings explosives or firearms with him, preferring to use blades, wires, or poison to accomplish his assignments. Despite this, he is still capable of recognizing his limits and is willing to use more chaotic or destructive approaches when options become limited.

Mannerisms and Quirks
When idle, Benjamin entertains himself by blowing smoke rings using his own body, trying to see how far he can let it float before having to call it back.

BIO

Benjamin’s family had been in America for so long that his family was “American” in every way except for ethnicity. Financially, his family was more than simply well-off. He came from a long line of veterans though his father worked for the US military as a cybersecurity expert before leaving to start up his own successful security company. His father’s success and influence continued to grow as the company sold military grade security services, digital and physical, to governments and private businesses alike. When the spill happened, Benjamin was only several months old.

As Benjamin’s mutation began to develop, his father did everything he could to protect his son. Due to the social circles Benjamin’s father interacted with, he had heard of the chemical affecting his son though he had always assumed that it was nothing more than a theory or concept. He first used his extensive connections to look for a cure though over time, it became apparent that this option was out of the question. Refusing to give up, Benjamin’s father eventually reached out to some of his old peers in the US military.

At the beginning of the mutation “epidemic”, there were certain individuals in the US government interested in creating weapons from the mutants. Thanks once again to his father’s influence, Benjamin was able to avoid such fate. Instead, he was taken to a hidden facility where he would spend most of his life, learning to control his power and mutation while only seeing the outside world through TV screens and books.

Twenty years after Benjamin became a mutant, the ASA was created. As he was already under the care of the government, finding and recruiting Benjamin was not difficult and, with the promise to finally be able to experience the outside world, Benjamin happily accepted.

Even the tiny, normally unnoticeable hairs that cover the body are colored, so when one looks at Myla she looks like she has blue and purple streaks in her skin. The hair on her head she's dyed bright red, helping her match her costume a little more. Her eyes are the color of polished gold, shining and reflecting light in the dark.

Birthmarks
A grey star on her upper back. Less than an inch wide, it feels slightly softer than the rest of her skin.


Typical Clothing
When not at work as the Gilded Rose, Myla typically wears as little as possible. If she's alone, either a long t-shirt she wears like a dress or nothing at all. Usually, though, she wears a pair of skinny jeans and a top that shows off plenty of midriff. No point having awesome abs and not showing them off, right?

POWER

Myla's mutation centers around her skin, though her eyes are special too. Her eyes can see any level of radiation, from background microwaves to gamma bursts in the night sky. It's just a matter of focusing and she can pick up ambient radioactive decay or see radio signals in the air.

This power rarely comes up, though, as her main ability overshadows this: impenetrable skin. While her skin looks smooth and soft, it has absolutely no give to it. Myla's compared 50 caliber bullets to like being stung by a bee. Most other kinds of gunfire she barely even notices. She's 100% immune to radiation, meaning no one knows just how much of her body has been changed since X-rays can't penetrate her skin. She can withstand up to 5,000 degrees without discomfort and can withstand hundreds of G's of force before it starts hurting her.

A side effect of this is that she also hits much harder than a normal human. Not because of any special strength, but because of her skin. When a normal person punches their flesh naturally rebounds, absorbing some of their own energy. But Myla has no such give, so being punched by her is more like being hit with a rock or a sledgehammer.


WEAKNESSES

Cold. She can walk into a burning building without feeling a thing, but her body can't handle anything below 45 without succumbing to symptoms of hypothermia.

Her birthmark. It's not been tested, but it seems as if that patch of skin is weaker than the rest of her. That single spot on her back is a potential Achilles Heel.

Excessive force. Myla can take a ton of damage, but if someone can burn hotter, hit harder or cut sharper than her skin is able to handle, it will get through. Her durability is insanely high, but not infinite.


ARSENAL

Supersuit
Gilded Rose needs something that can take as much punishment as she can. Not just in terms of gunfire, but explosions and heat too, or else there will come a point where she's fighting bad guys naked.

The fabric of choice is a heat resistant graphene weave. Graphene not only effectively redistributes the force of bullets, but also makes for a great conductor so won't overheat and melt when exposed to extreme temperatures. Myla's costume doesn't need to protect her body, merely her modesty, so only the necessary parts are covered: a pair of tight pants, boots, and a top that covers her upper torso and nothing else. Her arms and midriff are left bare. A new fire retardant paint has been applied to the outfit in places to give splashes of bright red on the normally all black suit, with an emblem of a gold rose put on the center of her chest.

A high-strength plastic cable whip, with multiple accessories including a grappling hook, taser function, and sharp spike at the end to anchor anything caught by the whip to the ground.

Skills
Myla has learned mixed martial arts to take down bad guys in the field. However, her fighting style is a little bit different than typical MMA. For one, she focuses more on using her fists than grappling or even kicking. For another, she's thrown blocks completely out of her fighting style, translating moves that are normally blocks into new attacks.

Is also a big gamer, particularly RPGs where she gets to play - big surprise - a tank role.


PERSONA

Basic Personality
Casual, confident, and a little cocky. Since she's such a damage sponge, she usually sees everyone around her as really fragile, so will jump in to do stuff she thinks is too dangerous for other people. This can come off as being overprotective sometimes.

When it comes to her own safety, however, she doesn't give it a second thought. It's easy when one feels invulnerable to take risks and ignore the consequences.

So she's easygoing and overly confident when it comes to herself, but very apprehensive when it comes to the safety of others.

Mannerisms and Quirks
She often wears revealing clothing. Sometimes too revealing. Her invulnerability has made her completely open with her body, to a point that sometimes makes others uncomfortable.

Jokes at awkward times (ie: during combat or at important meetings). An attempt to ease the tension in a situation.


BIO

Myla Rose was born shortly after the big spill that changed everything. It was pretty clear from her bright colored hair and hard skin that she was born a mutant. As she grew, more and more was learned about her, but not everything. As a child, she failed the classic reflex test because she couldn't feel the hammer on her knee. In fact, she couldn't get shots either, as the needles always broke when they were pushed against her skin. This made vaccinations incredibly difficult, until pill versions of the medications could be found and used. Her rank quickly changed through childhood as a result, too: she started out as 1 when she was a baby, but after numerous exams she skipped 2, went straight to 3, and was bumped up to rank 4 by the time she was six.

When she was old enough for school, things were still tense between normal humans and mutants, so she had trouble fitting in. She found some acceptance in sports, namely in soccer, swimming, and track. Some acceptance, but even then things were uneasy. In soccer most of the kids wouldn't pass the ball to her, so she had to steal it from the others in play. The referees were always called by the kids claiming she cheated. Swimming wasn't too bad, but she gained no recognition for it. And track...she had to quit that in high school, despite her tag clearly saying enhanced speed and strength weren't among her abilities.

High school was tough for a number of reasons. She'd spent her childhood foreign to pain, but in high school she was exposed to a new kind of pain. Along with losing her sports opportunities, she found people grew even more distant from her. Dates were impossible; those that asked her out just wanted to boast that they got to second base with the freak. She could stop bullets with her skin, but just beneath the surface she'd experienced a new kind of pain in her chest.

Stigmatized for what she was and having every other avenue cut off from her, she turned to video games for entertainment. There she learned something she wasn't expecting to get from games. So many of them involved the playable character being the strongest person in that world, and that character then being asked to save the weaker ones around them from some horrible threat. These beings had the power to destroy everything in the games - and were often given the option - but the developers clearly wanted her as the player to save them. And she found, for herself, that while playing she preferred to be the hero too.

But she didn't really make the leap until one when she was at the bank, getting out some money to take her motorcycle driving test. While there, the bank was suddenly pulled into a robbery, and Myla was pulled into stopping it. To her, this seemed absurdly easy; she ruined her shirt and took some buckshot to the face, but she easily pounded them into the ground when they realized all they were doing was making her mad. It wasn't long after that when she heard about something called the ASA. Seeing this as the best route to her future, she hopped on her bike with a few of her belongings and went to the city where applications were being accepted.

Fianna is a shapely woman that stands at 170 cm roughly (5'7") and weighs 125 lbs (57 kg). She used to have mid-back length white blond hair but ever since her loved one's death, she changed her hairstyle into a neck length bob with a fringe reaching her always perfectly sculpted eyebrows. Her eyes are mismatched: gray on the left and yellow orange on the right and could intimidate the hell out of anyone.

Some parts of her arms, back, and legs are covered with white feathers and as time goes by, the feathers grow and shows in other parts of her body. Fianna isn't certain when the feathers will stop growing, or if it will give her the ability to fly.

Typical Clothing
Fianna goes to great lengths to hide her mutation. She is typically seen wearing long sleeved clothes and pants. She usually wears a white long sleeved button down blouse and black slacks paired with black pumps, sunglasses, and leather gloves. She also always wear a red pea coat.

POWER

Just like her alias suggests, Fianna sings incredibly well that she can hypnotise or persuade her listeners. She can also manipulate her voice into a shrill scream that can shatter glass, create physical vibrations, and destroy someone's eardrum.

Her right eye on the other hand is somewhat similar to an owl: only great at night. Under low light and up to 500 meters, she can see the smallest details such as a person's movements, including their breathing, heartbeat, sweat, muscle contractions, etc.

Her powers has limitations. Her hypnotic voice cannot affect those who can't hear her while her persuasion cannot affect those with high intellect or those who are super dumb. Her right eye is completely useless during the day and must wear contact lenses or sunglasses to see.

WEAKNESSES

Since she heavily rely on her voice, she's utterly useless when gagged. She can also easily have a sore throat if she screams too much.

As said before, half of her eye is completely useless during the day if she doesn't wear contacts or sunglasses. Bright lights can affect her right eye's vision.

Weirdly enough, Fianna's skin easily gets burned by iron. No one really knows why, but most people assumed its all part of the mutation.

ARSENAL

Supersuit
Her supersuit is a simple black halter top catsuit that's made out of tactical stretch cordura with gray mesh that acts as a speaker. The suit shows off her shoulders and the collar area of her top has a small mic and speaker attached to it that allows her voice to be louder than usual. There's also red piping on the sides on her suit that lights up whenever she talks.

She pairs her suit with black fingerless gloves that reaches up to her elbows, a red belt around her waist and black boots.

She also wears red headphones to protect herself from her shrill voice.

Weapons
Fianna is highly dependent on her voice but keeps two batons hidden on the side of her boots just in case. These batons absorb some of her screams and convert it into vibrations that could send someone flying away from her.

Basic Personality
The entirety of Fianna's character is hard to distinguish. She's considered as a femme fatale, capable of convincingly portraying friendly and flirtatious, yet deadly and fierce. She can also be timid, vulnerable and scared. For the most part, she is a level-headed and strong-willed woman. She normally maintains a controlled, almost emotionless persona to keep whatever she is thinking a secret unless she is around people she absolutely trusts.

When she's around people she absolutely trusts, Fianna is kind and motherly. She likes taking care of others and making sure that they are okay.

Mannerisms and Quirks
When bored or alone, Fianna likes to hum and tap her feet. She has a habit of calling everyone sweetie, love, or dear; checking her nails when she's not interested; and clicking her tongue when annoyed.

BIO

Fianna is a mutant who became an orphan at such a young age due to poverty. She lived the crime ridden streets half of her life, trying to survive by stealing food and selling her body. Life was hard for the poor girl but thanks to her "work", she met people from all walks of life that helped her along the way. One of these people was Joshua, a rank 4 mutant who has the ability to set himself on fire. Long story short, they fell in love and began living together in a small rundown apartment. Fianna stopped selling her body and began singing in bars to earn enough money while Joshua started working as a garbage collector.

Everything was fine up until Fianna got pregnant. They needed money so bad that Joshua resorted back to stealing but it wasn't enough. As if fate was toying with them, the goverment caught him stealing and instead of imprisonment, they decided to recruit him for something that can help reduce the effect of the mutations through pharmaceutical drugs.

A month was all it took before Fianna realized that something went wrong to Joshua. She was twelve weeks pregnant during that time and she was so confused. Usually, her boyfriend would have sent her a letter or anything to give her a sign that he's okay and alive. At first she thought Joshua had run away from her but she knew they love each other too much and that would never happen. As she asked some of her 'acquaintances' from the bar to find him, she learned that something did went wrong. The details weren't clear but her assumption was that the government hid her boyfriend and sent him far away from her.


She tried to find him, she really did but the stress, loneliness, and heartbreak was too much that she slowly became depressed to the point that she had a miscarriage. Now truly alone, Fianna blamed herself for being so dependent, weak, and fragile. She spiraled and went back to her old habits until she got caught. She was about to face imprisonment when someone struck a deal with her: join a superhuman organization, or face the consequences of her actions. Realizing that being part of the organization can help her repent for all her sins (miscarriage, prostitution, stealing, fraud) and maybe find information about her boyfriend who she believes is still alive, she decided to join.

Basic
Paisley has a very thin, tall, and fragile frame. She has very clear skin and smooth skin with the hint of a deep magenta glow. Her hair is a dark mahogany brown that wraps around her, long, and usually a beautiful mess. Her eyes are a light blue and larger than most people's eyes.

Scars
On Paisley’s back there is two large scars where her wings come from, they are both stretch the length of her shoulder blades and are red in color

Peircings
Paisley has one main piercing in her right ear, and then four piercings in her left ear. Including her lobe, daith, and two on her upper ear. The daith piercing is a small heart and the two on her upper ear are connected together with a a silver swirl earing.

Mutations
Besides the obvious larger eyes than most people, Paisley was born with wings which grant her the ability to fly. They are a deep rainbow like color that resemble a crossover of what a typical storybook fairy would have and butterfly wings. Paisley is able to retract her wings into the scars into her back, however, for them to come out again they rip her clothes where the scars and wings are. Paisley also emanates a slight glow about her wherever she goes in the color of a deep magenta.

Typical Clothing
Generally Paisley can be found wearing long skirts or short floral dresses along with lace shirts. Paisley generally does not dress in pants but always wears underclothing so she can potentially fly about without anyone seeing up her skirt. Paisley almost always has a jacket with her, as her wings rip through her shirts when she has them out she likes to be able to cover her back up with a jacket or other overshirt, which she ties around her waist when her wings are out.

POWER

Besides being able to fly, Paisley can control the energy around her to create barriers, blasts of power, and can even absorb certain forms of non physical attacks. Paisley specializes in being able to make barriers or strong shields out of her own life energy. To recharge, she absorbs life energy from plants and non-physical attacks.


WEAKNESSES

Paisley uses her own life energy, and plant energy, to create her powerful barriers or blasts. If there is not any nature around her, or just a small amount of nature, she cannot recharge nearly as quickly. Being in a city that is full of equipment and metal, less nature, can greatly impact her. Paisley is also very vulnerable to physical attacks, although she can create barriers to protect her, physical attacks do a greater damage. Her weak spot is her back or her wings. And lastly, Paisley is very sensitive to any kind of dark powers. Paisley uses energy that is pure good, nature being pure, so darkness or other energy that comes from something unpure makes Paisley very weak.


ARSENAL

Supersuit
Paisley’s supersuit is a sleek black leather jumpsuit that fits perfectly to her curves, giving her a nice glide in the air. It has green leaves going up the legs with magenta flowers. It also has cuts in the back for quick and easy access to her wings. The back of her jumpsuit looks like paint splatters made of colors of her dark rainbow wings. She also has a small utility belt, with two pockets to keep weapons or other small items. Paisley has an optional hood that she can wear, also pure black but made out of softer material on the inside. Her shoes are also small black ankle boots with magenta ribbons for the ties. They are reinforced in the bottom to absorb shock when landing.

Weapons
Paisley is not a weapon kind of person and relies mostly on her own energy blasts instead of guns. When she is weak or recovering from her energy powers, she uses throwing knives to keep her ranged attacks, as Paisley does not like to get up close and personal.

PERSONA

Basic Personality
Paisley is very apprehensive when you first meet her. She doesn’t really like to meet new people and doesn’t trust easily, She can come off very cold and heartless. Her face stone cold when people make jokes who she doesn’t know. Paisley is very defensive and will say sarcastic things or pick at you when she first meets you, as a way to test to the ground and see what kind of person you are. Despite knowing that she comes off mean and sarcastic, and a little quippy, she can’t stop herself. She can’t help the comments.

Once she has warmed up to you, her sarcasm calms down a bit. She may pick on people around you, but not as much you. She has a warm spot for people who are injured and will do anything she can to help people who are in trouble, although once they are safe and sound she continues being slightly cold. She’s an unsung hero, saves people but doesn’t like to be recognized for the work. She doesn’t like praise, or attention. Because of the way her father treated her and her mutations, she can’t stand when people point at her and will get either angry or incredibly shy if people point out her powers.

Mannerisms and Quirks
Paisley twitches her nose a lot, like she is smelling something funny. She does this when thinking, bored, standing still.

Paisley also has resting bitch face and rarely smiles.

Paisley loves to smell flowers, whenever she passes by flowers that are pretty she doesn’t mean to pick them but she always finds herself with a flower in her hand.


BIO

Paisley’s mother remembers the day of the accident, the day people were changed, mutations grew, weird things started happening. But oddly, not to a lot of people. She thought it was odd that an accident that big didn’t cause even more devastation. She didn’t know that two years later she would give birth to her own little girl who would be inflicted with her own mutations.

Paisley was born with small wings on her back, at the time they were green in color, freshly made. Her eyes were wide and pale, dripping tears of a newborn child. A glow encompassed her, a magenta a glow. Paisley’s mother didn’t cry, she was thankful that even though her daughter had these odd features she was still a healthy little girl. However, her father didn’t feel the same way. He hated her eyes, the way they blinked and almost made a sound from the weight of how big they were. He hated how she started to fly before she could even walk. His anger never turned to violence, it turned to research. He became involved in work with a group that was trying to find a cure, a stop potion, something that would make the mutants into normal people. He disappeared one day, never returning.

Paisley and her mother didn’t really think of it is as a loss. By now Paisley learned to retract her wings and did not know of her other powers, this was at the age of 13. Paisley was classified a Level 3 simply because she had wings that she can retracted. It wasn’t until the age of 16 that Paisley learned of her other powers.

Paisley and her mother were on a walk one day through the neighborhood when a very prejudice drunk man came up to the two, swearing and yelling. Telling them to both go to hell. The two tried to ignore it, but suddenly the man got violent. Paisley wanted to protect her mother so she stood in front of the man and held out her hands. There a magenta glow came from her hands and created a barrier. The drunk man stumbled back, but came back after them. Paisley felt herself fill with an ability, life was inside of her and she could control some kind of energy. She held out one hand, like a gun, pointed it at the man, and a burst of energy came from her finger. The man fell down, not dead, but certainly not awake or coherent.

Paisley’s mother was scared of her child’s new found powers, she made sure to register this right away. Paisley was bumped to Level 4 for her new powers of energy control.

When the call came to join the ASA, Paisley wanted to do something greater with her powers. She also wanted the chance to find her dad, so she decided to join up.Leaving behind her mother was hard, but it had to be done. She had a greater calling, she always felt it.

APPEARANCE


Basic

Liam is fairly standard when it comes to describing the typical north american man. His brown hair is kept at a semi-short wavy length that can often get disheveled and messy looking, often times giving the impression that he simply can’t be bothered to get a haircut or comb his hair. His eyes, while a very light blue, are dull and don’t appear to reflect as much light as one would expect of the color. The skin on his face is marked with imperfections, a mixture of a late puberty and lack of self control that resulted in small red marks seeming to permanently mar a near stark white complexion. His facial hair, while undoubtedly having the ability to blossom into a full grown beard that men twice his size would be envious of, is continually shaved, often times accompanied by at least one or two nicks from a razor. He has the beard growth of someone who can be completely clean shaven when he wakes up, and by 5pm have what could be comparatively called a ‘couple days growth’ along his jawline.

In terms of the rest of him, he’s not what one could call muscular, but neither could you call him ‘fat’ or ‘out of shape’. He’s one of those annoying individuals who’s metabolism never slowed down after he left his teenage years. He can eat like a pig day in and day out and never seem to gain a pound. His body hair, thankfully, doesn’t seem to follow the same regiment as his face and manages to stay at a comfortable ‘there, but not overbearing’ look. Once again, his skin tone stays at a pasty white level, as if he was afraid of the sun for years and dreaded facing the yellow abomination in the sky.

Scars

Liam has a scar nearly dead center on his chest, barely noticeable but a couple of inches in length. Along with this, he also has a scar on his lower left side from an appendectomy a number of years ago, more pronounced and ragged than the one on his chest surprisingly. His arms also seem to exhibit several scars all along the length of them, although none of them appear to be self harm scars, but instead would portray poking and prodding. His hands also carry the multiple pocket marks of someone who works with their hands.

As weird as it might sound, Liam’s veins are very oddly colored. Where as the most of humanity have slightly blue veins that will show up under their skin to indicate the un-oxygenated blood flowing through them, Liams tend to either be a bright white or a pitch black depending on his mood. The color intensity is pronounced enough to be noticeable and make Liam self conscious about it.

Typical Clothing

Liam is one of those people that seems to be perpetually cold. Preferring to wear long sleeve shirts, heavy blue jeans, thick hoodies and, from time to time, a tuque even indoors. While one can occasionally catch him wearing a t-shirt, usually of a ragged variety indicative of a person who rarely wears one, the temperature has to be absolutely scorching.

POWER


Mental Constructs

To put it simply, Liam has the ability to construct psychic objects based on his own creativity and mental acuity. This can range from something simple like a chair or a cup to a vehicle or some kind of fantasy creature. Theoretically, what he can create is only limited by his creative mind, as the constructs will function as he believes them to function. Meaning if he creates a car, the psychic construct will behave like a car. If he creates a dog, the dog will act as he expects a dog to act. If he creates a gun, it will behave like a gun and shoot psychically constructed bullets as a result.

All of these constructs are very noticeably not normal however. While they may be colored as expected, they oftentimes give off a rather off putting white glow and, depending on how focused Liam is on them, can be partially see through.

Now due to the nature of the power, Liam does appear to have some form of resistance against psychic attacks, such as mind control, telepathy or mental illusions. Not to the point of being able to harm the would be attacker, but akin to having a bomb shelter built around his mind. This is a subconscious defense, meaning he has no way to differentiate between people. A friendly telepathy user, for example, would also be locked out of his mind.

WEAKNESSES


Creating constructs from one’s own mind can be mentally exhausting as you would expect. The stress on him differs depending on the object he’s creating. This doesn’t necessarily rely entirely on size, though that is a factor, but rather more on the complexity of the creation. For example, creating a life sized psychic statue of himself is less tiring than rendering a dog with all of the attributes and behavior Liam would expect from a dog. That dog is less strenuous than creating a printing press or other equally complex machinery. Essentially, the more a psychic construct is expected to act, move or otherwise function, the harder it becomes to maintain its shape.

This also applies to the number of psychic constructs Liam can have going at any one point. Akin to multitasking, the less he focuses on an individual construct, the more it loses its shape and eventually fades into nothingness. This also works in the opposite, as prolonged focus on his constructs, depending on complexity, can cause hemorrhages resulting in bleeding from his eyes, ears and nose. There's been at least one known case where he managed to cause himself to black out from it, but typically speaking it's not too much of an issue as he has plenty of warning before he gets to that state.

It should be noted that, because of the amount of focus it takes for Liam to actually create his constructs, he has to be conscious in order to do so. A sleeping or knocked out Liam is nothing more than a human with a slightly strange color to his veins. The only exception to this rule seems to be induced lucid dreaming, but more often than not he doesn’t have control over what is being created outside of his mind as, at that moment, the creations are popping up and disappearing depending on the dreamscape. In order to combat this, Liam often takes sleeping pills to prevent this from ever being an issue or, failing to find any, will drink himself to sleep...Speaking of…

While Liam isn’t at the stage of needing to be drunk no matter when or where he is, it should be noted that it’s not hard to find Liam downing a bottle of whatever has even the tiniest bit of alcohol in it during his down time. He seems to be cognizant enough when they need him to be that the ASA health team hasn’t done a direct intervention yet, but it has been noted several times through his duration here that the liquor does seem to have a hold on him. It dulls his senses, and while not outright cancelling out his ability to create constructs, weakens them greatly.

On his subconscious mind shield, it should be noted that it’s not impervious. In fact, when he’s drunk, it’s in a weakened state (although still stronger than the average human’s). A concentrated effort on the attackers part however could still manage to break through his defenses, and while he would be aware that something was happening, he wouldn’t be able to necessarily tell what, who or why.

ARSENAL


Supersuit

Liam’s supersuit is more about the tech built into it than the actual design. A white and purple body suit laced with a thin layer of ablative plating to protect from blades and the glancing bullet, the real stars of the show are the thin tubes that run along the lengths of his arms and legs, with a central valve located over his heart and protected by a fiberglass frame. These tubes converge into a thin backpack strapped to what would appear to be his spine. This backpack is filled with anti-hallucinogenics and anti-toxins that can be administered by Liam to prevent mind breaking issues.

By request of the ASA, Liam carries a combat blade with him.

PERSONA


Basic Personality

Liam is a hard person to really classify, since his personality seems to differ depending on the level of drinks you’ve managed to catch him at.

Sober, Liam is a very quiet individual, prone to staying silent for long bouts of time and only answering when spoken to. Withdrawn, introverted, and almost afraid of social requirements, he tends to only stay with the group for as long as he absolutely needs to then makes up an excuse about needing to be somewhere and leaves. During this state though, he is extremely diligent, loyal and hides a courageous side that emerges once he’s able to figure out exactly what he needs to do.

One or two drinks in, you can manage to get a little more out of Liam. This is most likely the version of Liam people are familiar with. Bordering on normal, Liam talks easily, moves about more, portrays a bit more confidence and is somewhat funny. He comes out of his shell and enjoys being around people. He can be a good person to be around at this point as he’ll listen, offer advice or just hang around if that’s what you want. Not quite the center of attention, he does enough to keep the party going and attempts to make people smile.

Three to five drinks in, and you’ve now met the overconfident and more than a little arrogant version of Liam. While he stops just short of being an unbearable ass, expect to hear jokes and such of the slightly naughtier variety and laughter at his own humor that falls well into the overbearing territory. A bit of a narcissist in this state, Liam will actually go out of his way to become the center of attention to mixed results. This is truly the most unpredictable version of Liam you can get as he’ll do practically anything if it means proving how great he is or if it will put a smile on people’s faces.

Anything past five drinks, and Liam goes quiet again, although not the withdrawn kind. It’s almost as if the more he drinks, the more he sobers up as he becomes somewhat of a philosopher in this state. He no longer cares who he’s talking to, if they’re smiling or if he’s the center of attention. He turns his mind in on himself and talks as if he’s trying to unravel the mysteries of the universe. It can be rather relaxing to talk to Liam at this state, as he’s soft spoken and can sometimes speak words of truth others may not want to hear but need to understand. That is, until he gets sick and passes out wherever he happens to be sitting.

Mannerisms and Quirks

Liam, even during his drunken stages save for the last one, feels a constant need to keep himself busy. He’ll often go out of his way to find something to do, and should he get extremely desperate, will actually ask for work from anyone around him, even at his most withdrawn state. Worst case scenario, he’ll start inventing something from scratch...most often only resulting in a small amount of chaos.

BIO


Liam was only 3 when the chemical plant explosion that birthed superhumans happened, living in a small middle class household as an only child to a social worker mother and an accountant father. They were a loving couple, caring for their child as any parents should and naturally wanting to protect their child from anything the world could throw at them, until they were able to fend for themselves of course. When the plant exploded, no one knew what would happen, but when reports of people developing mutations and abilities started popping up, his parents became paranoid.

They started testing each other, testing Liam, and their paranoia even lead them to start testing their friends and coworkers. To this day, Liam doesn’t know exactly what they were scared of, only that their fear seemed to stem from a change in the day to day workings of the world. It took a number of weeks for his parents to calm down, but that wasn’t the worst of it. Unbeknownst to them, Liam had started to change, although it wouldn’t become evident until a few years down the line.

Liam was actually 6 before his parents found out, playing with what looked like some popular puppet from a kids show...in their living room and talking with its voice. It reacted to them and talked to them and did everything that one would expect if the puppet had been a real thing. Upon his parents pensively wondering what it was, and asking each other where it came from, Liam answered for them. He dismissed the creation, innocently stating that he had simply wanted a friend to play with and that the puppet was the only friend he could think of right now. Even though he was young, the look of fear on his parents face is still etched into his mind.

Over the years, they discovered more about his power and with each increase in ability, there came a new restriction. No friends over. No TV. No Books. No this, no that, no this, no that. It eventually boiled down to the point where his parents had become so overprotective or fearful of his nature that he was a prisoner in his own house. Having nowhere else to go, little to no developed social skills, and with a mother who worked in the very system that would have protected him had he reached out, Liam felt like he had nowhere else to go. Despite this, he managed to do some things on his own. He learned how to build things, and over time managed to accumulate his own assortment of junk and materials that would keep his mind preoccupied. He learned how to create in his little basement, using his abilities to compensate for any materials he was missing.

It was also during this time that his dependence on alcohol started to take its hold. One of the few things he would claim managed to get him through such a time, was knowing that his next door neighbor was a pretty heavy drinker and would come home with bottles all the time. During the times when he knew his neighbor would be drinking, he would conjure up some kind of small animal to sneak into his house and steal bottles that he wouldn’t miss, Liam hoping his neighbor would just chalk it up to ‘huh, must have drunk more than I thought’. Initially, he was hesitant to try alcohol, but ultimately he did take a swig and the rest is more or less known. The drink helped him get through a good portion of his days, managing to blame any episodes he had on his power, leaving his parents more concerned but unaware of what he was actually doing.

Many people asked why he didn’t just bust himself out before the point he actually did, to which he never manages to properly answer. They were his parents, they loved him, and that love had turned them into monsters. He didn’t even truly think of escaping until the ASA gave the call to arms so to speak, having overheard it from his parents arguing about it, during their many many debates they had had ever since his ‘awakening’. Only then did he force himself out of the house, unfortunately having to literally move his dad out of his way with the creation of a Gorilla in their kitchen.

Liam made his way to the ASA headquarters and signed up on the spot, having believed he made the right choice. Despite this, he quickly found that a life of severe restrictions lead him to not understand how to necessarily act, and quickly found himself afraid of any interactions that he felt had no other point aside from filling the air around them with sound. He retreated in on himself and started relying more and more on the liquor in order to open himself to the others around him and get used to interacting with other people on a daily basis.

Basic
Ashe rocks a dark haired and chopped up haircut with buzzed sides, due to it always being done by his own doing. Sharp facial features, a medium but very defined build, and sunlight deprived skin. Usually slouched posture with the way he walks, shoulders held low, as if he had been sleep deprived for days, and a rather mean but drained expression making anyone who might cross his path

Scars
Many scars that run up and down his forearms, as well as all over his hands, and one across the bride of his nose. Remarkably though, these scars are barely noticeable, and appear to be very smooth. Only thing giving them away is the pigmentation compared to the skin around said scars.

Mutations
His Iris is a metallic silver color, his skin is surprisingly soft despite his work and injuries. This is because he sweats nitroglycerin from random pores all over his body (since the sweat is diluted with the normal sweat pores all over his body, he doesn’t become a huge explosive), the glycerol in nitroglycerin offers a moisturizing property that keeps his skin it peak health. It also makes him taste sweet, incase you were to ever, for some godly reason, taste his skin, but then you’d have such a violent headache that you wouldn’t be able to do anything for a short time.

A small somewhat diamond shaped splotch right where his heart should be.

Typical Clothing
Usually is seen wearing raggedy old clothing ripped straight out of old school great Britain punk. Usually white worn tees, graphic tank tops, heavy and long leather jacket, combat boots that seem a little too big for him, and slightly fitted, but sometimes torn dark jeans. Along with the multiple studded leather bracelets, bone charm necklaces, and seatbelt belts.

POWER

Ashe’s arms have the ability to let off low voltage electricity, enough to power, say, a twelve volt light bulb. Which is capable enough to numb whatever limbs he grabs, as well as tensing up the muscles. Now this isn’t what makes him a rank 4, no, it’s the nitroglycerin sweat pores that are super concentrated in the palms of his hands that he can control, allowing nitroglycerin to be in its purest form, a super highly explosive liquid.

To put in plain and simple, Ashe can shoot out explosive blasts from the palms of his hands in any direction he so chooses. Due to him also being able to control how much he secretes from his hand, also allows him to dial up or down the intensity of each blast. Using it to project himself around, to delivering heavy blows up close, or simply blasting away anything in his path with enough force to level a house.

Lastly, his arms and hands are mutated to be able to handle such wear and tear, the bones in his arms and hands are denser, his skin is able to not singe or tear apart when using the said ability constantly.

He also can condense the said explosion to create streamline shots, perfect for piercing armor, as well as keeping the collateral damage to a minimum. Though this require focus, as well as more energy.


WEAKNESSES

Ashe might be able to put out extreme firepower, but that’s about it. He’s a glass cannon to put it simply. He has no real way to defend himself from attacks without moving out of the way. His arms might be durable to some of his own attacks, but they can easily be broken by an applying force, or even worse, sliced off. Without his arms he’s pretty much nothing.

Alongside with that, his body isn’t capable of going a hundred percent with the blasts, even with the help of his mutations, he had injured himself numerous times, it’s the reason his hands and arms are covered to scars.

Also the temperature of his surroundings play a part in his abilities, even if he has the ability to control how much nitroglycerin sweat he produces from his hands, the colder it is, the harder it will be to get enough of it to use. This also means that, the hotter the environment is, the more power he can use. Freezing his arms would most definitely put him out of commission.

And lastly, the constant use of his sweat glands can make him become dehydrated very easily, too much excursion of his ability can cause him to pass out. So if you can outlast him in a fight, or cause him to constantly use his abilities, he will get weaker, and eventually black out.

ARSENAL

Supersuit
For Ashe, he needs something that can make up for what his body can’t. His suit is a dark red skin tight nanosuit, covers everything except for his eyes which are protected with a visor. The suit itself helps ground himself as well as dampen the recoil of his attacks, allowing him to go close to full power if need be. It’s also heat resistant, and bullet proof to smaller firearms by distributing the blow from the bullets. The hands of the suit allow for him to secrete the nitroglycerin without any issue, as well as regulating the body temperature to keep his abilities at a full potential, even heating up to make him sweat more if need be, including the ability to increase his reflexes and speed to combo with his abilities. There is also a HUD to show him if there is any injuries, as well as how his bodily functions are going, like telling him if he’s getting too dehydrated.

On a random note, the suit can stick to any surface, and the leg portion of the suit is shock absorbent.

Ashe is extremely reliant on his own abilities, and will rarely ever use weapons. He does have an old fashioned .5 seven though.

PERSONA

Basic Personality
Ashe is an overly loud individual, and loves to speak his mind regardless if it offends or harms anyone. Extremely cocky, feeling as if you can vaporize anyone and anything can make you so. He has a bit of a stubborn personality, and doesn’t like to be told what to do, he only has one way of doing something which involves blasting his way out of things, alone, while others watch and marvel.

Short tempered, the man has a low tolerance for failure. Though his actions might seem violent, a bit wrong, and unlawful, his moral compass is in the right spot, and he does try to keep the innocent safe, and his friends safer.

Mannerisms and Quirks
Ashe is constantly tinkering, taking things apart, learning the inner workings of almost anything and then putting it back together. He constantly likes to threaten people by setting off small amounts of nitroglycerin at his palms before a fight, or if someone annoys him.

BIO

Ashe was born into a well off family, financially, and as well as family dynamics. His father worked as a marine biologist, doing research on migration in different types of animals due to the ever changing climate. His mother was a lawyer, who specializes in defending small companies against larger monopolies. The boy also had a younger sister, who wanted to work with animals just like their father had.

Ashe didn’t learn about his abilities till he was about twelve, the age where rebellion began, his temper was already bad enough. He was sent home one day for exchanging fists with a classmate, the argument was over how these mutated people should be treated, Ashe going for the high road, while the classmate said otherwise. Ashe ended up beating the kid to the ground before being stopped and suspension was put into place. His parents couldn’t tell him that he was in the right, causing harm in any form had to be dealt with. So he was sent to his room with no explanation, causing him to throw a fit. Punching random objects, throwing things around his room, and blowing apart the door to his room…

It turned out that Ashe had these abilities since he was two but no one had caught drift of it, and the young boy had no clue how to activate it. Soon his house came under fire from the neighborhood and school, constantly getting threats, and this even affected his parents work life, many arguments took place in the house between the mother and father. Ashe couldn’t watch as his family was crumbling because of him and his newfound abilities. So he ran away.

From then on he somehow found his way in the streets, from hiding from local investigators and the police, to making friends and acquaintances along the way. He took refuge in an abandoned warehouse in a city not to far from his own. Using this as his new home, a year in he stole and scrapped anything he could get away with, from car parts, to random tools he’d found in the said warehouse. It was also a place where he could practice using his ability freely.

Eventually he got involved with a Robinhood type organization, steal from the rich give to the poor type of deal, as well as showing the world what the government was doing to anyone with mutations and sabotaging any Mutant propaganda. The organization was known as the firecrackers, the name was given to them after the grew blew up several billboards having to do with incriminating mutants. For Ashe it gave him a purpose, gave him something to work for as he provided them with weapons, and explosives. Most of the weapons were pretty primal, but the explosives were top notch due to the fact he produced one highly explosive chemical. There were no casualties, except for a few military and police personal while the organization was active. It didn’t bother Ashe too much though, they were fighting for the wrong side…

Over the years the firecrackers gained a rather large following, especially online. They even were labeled as a ‘radical terrorist organization’. The organization wanted to take their group to a higher level per say, and figured the best way to do that was a on a live news network. Only issue is, they needed a access to such a place, and they were planning on meeting someone who could give them that access. They were told to meet up in town, so Ashe came along as escort to, to make sure they had an escape incase things when south. During the exchange, the group was ambushed by a swat team, basically turning into an all out fight. Ashe did his best to fight his way through it all, and made an opening for their leader to escape, but in the end he had to sacrifice himself, getting himself arrested.

He was put into prison and eventually got himself into maximum detention, for causing numerous fights, as well as crippling a few inmates. He was always getting into fights, that he swore up and down he didn’t start. After a few months he was offered to Join the ASA, allowing him to see the outside world instead of being imprisoned, which he reluctantly joined for now.

APPEARANCE

Basic
Matthew toned up a bit from his bean pole days, but his clothing choices don't call much attention to his lean muscles and he much prefers it that way. His skin has seen the sun, maybe not all that much recently but he swears he had a tan back when he played baseball. It still bears the scars from an overly active childhood filled with wipeouts and faceplants, though the oldest scars are beginning to fade away with age. He carries himself like a large breed dog that hasn't exactly grown into its paws yet, always a bit awkward but enthusiastic all the same, making himself seem younger and more innocent than he really is. His eyes are a bright, but completely natural blue. And his hair is dark brown and naturally a mess on the best of days. His left arm appears to have a circuit board pattern "tattooed" on it in black ink, and the pattern glows in the dark. A similar "tattoo" is appearing down on his right ankle. Both of them also glow when he uses his power.

Typical Clothing
Long sleeved shirts and comfy sweatshirts galore, his closet boats a wide variety of colors but little variation in terms of overall style. His dogtag is usually tucked under his shirt. Jeans or khaki pants are his go-to bottoms. Two other items that are always constant with him are a pair of black gloves and rubber-soled black combat boots. He also wears some sort of smart watch on his wrist, though it's always hidden by his long sleeved shirts.



POWER

Matthew generates electricity. Not just the standard drag your sock covered feet on carpet and zap your sister brand of electricity either. He's more along the lines of a defibrillator. He can zap someone with the equivalence of a taser. He could do more damage, but he tries to avoid getting close to fatal voltages. But his real talent lies in his minute control of electricity among circuit boards. While it isn't quite technopathy, since he needs to see what he's doing, it gets hand-waved enough that he doesn't argue about it anymore.


WEAKNESSES

Water is the enemy. He runs the risk of short circuiting on himself if he's dripping wet and trying to use his ability. Burns are common around his tattoos due to incidents like that, and anyone close to him when it happens might get zapped too.

Magnetic fields distort his control of electricity, making things way more difficult than they should be. In a combat situation, it could throw off the aim of his taser-zap, and potentially hit a civilian or one of his teammates. The guilt would haunt him forever if it did any lasting damage.

Without his gloves and boots on, he runs the risk of accidentally shocking people who happen to touch him. Depending on what voltage he's at, he might actually do damage. With his gloves and boots on, he is incapable of dispensing any electricity, and thus a completely normal, weak human being without any collateral damage plan should someone try to hurt him. Anyone wearing a non-conductive material is safe from his output as well.


ARSENAL

Supersuit
Electrically-conductive metal armor, with a Kevlar and copper fiber weave underneath in order to protect from any bullets sent his way. The metal has a black matte finish that doesn't reflect light, and there are small blue lights built into the inner forearms that glow in accordance with his voltage level. The helmet comes with a HUD display that identifies technological devices that he could tap into and use. Silver accents can be seen on the hands and feet of the armor, the higher conductive material allowing for greater control and concentration of his power.

Weapons
Sniper rifle, for long range combat in the case that his powers pose more of a risk than a benefit. Hand gun, for approaching trouble that really has no business getting any closer to him after the warning shot from the rifle. Boot knife, for when shit really hits the fan.

PERSONA

Basic Personality
Matthew comes across as a youthful, happy go lucky kinda guy. He likes to have fun and relax and just enjoy the little things. He's quick to make friends, with his clever tongue and carefree attitude. He also has a sarcastic streak to him as well when the mood strikes. He has a way with people that either makes them love him or hate him, and rarely does one walk the middle road. There is one little fact that people tend to miss completely when they first meet him. He isn't all sunshine and rainbows. He's closer to a snowy winter day. He knows he doesn't look weird, he knows that people don't automatically ping him as a guy with a power, and he plays it like a champ. With all of his posturing, it's easy to miss his sharp and observant gaze keeping track of every little detail. He's smart about how he handles himself. He generally dislikes and distrusts people on principle, preferring the company of computers and other devices. He doesn't care about most holidays, since he wasn't raised to look forward to them, and doesn't bother to fake enthusiasm for them either.

Mannerisms and Quirks
Matthew's always a bit twitchy, and usually has some kind of thing to play or mess around with in his hands. As socially engaging as he is, he always sets up clear and distinct boundaries, meaning absolutely no physical contact except for maybe a brief handshake.


BIO

Matt grew up bouncing around in the foster care system. He had the bright smile and cheery eyes routine down by the time he was six or so. As far as powers went, he didn't know he had any. His clothes were always static-y though. He remembered how he always shocked the other kids when he got shoved out of the way in the hustle to get food and get out of the kitchen before the foster parents had enough of the kids for the day. He was a perfectly healthy kid, but he never stayed in one house for too long. Maybe he was a bit too much trouble here and there, maybe he was the expendable kid, maybe they just didn't want him. Looking back at it, he figured that his records probably got mixed up and bullshitted along the way, leaving the potential for him to have powers written out as little to none.

He started to pick up on how to fight when he landed in a pretty bad house at age eight. The guy got drunk and toyed with the older kids, baiting them into fights. He watched and learned from a kid named Leo, who held himself really well. Rule One, be quick and don't get hit. Rule Two, make sure that your first hit is strong enough to make 'em regret their life choices. And rule three was to stay calm no matter what. Leo, like a couple other kids in the house, had powers. He wore a tag and everything. Staying calm was apparently the key to keeping any powers from acting up, as Leo explained. "Might come in handy if you're just a late bloomer. Or if you're in enough trouble to start freaking out. But, uh, leave the trouble for me. Keep your hands clean."

Leo aged out of the system after two years of staying in the bad house, and Matthew didn't hear from him again. The guy who ran the foster home, Jerome, got harsher over the years. The neighborhood was dangerous, and guns weren't exactly foreign to the fifteen year old anymore. Matthew stepped up to fill the role Leo had as the oldest kid: distraction and anger management. One night got bad, Matt took a nasty hit, but Jerome was the one who hit the ground. He was fine, just knocked out. But the other kids got scared, someone called the cops, and suddenly Matthew Michael Volt was a Rank 3. The faint marks on his arm that he'd attributed to a nasty fall in elementary school started to get darker and even glowed on occasion, and after he got moved to some government school for freaks, the nurse there noticed and he got bumped up to Rank 4.

After he aged out, he took on a job working at a computer repair shop. Everything was fine and dandy up until Jerome filed assault charges. Matthew wanted to fight the charges, but none of the other foster kids would back his statement. His state appointed attorney wanted him to take a plea deal. Then he got the offer from the ASA to make all this go away if he signed up, so he took it.
