This Roleplay follows the events of the fall of the Empire in AGK Season 1 but diverts into its own unique story from this point forward.
THE STORY
It's been three months since the Empire fell. The deaths of Prime Minister Honest, the great General Esdeath, and the young Emperor has caused the Empire to crumble, giving the Revolutionary Armies the courage they need to defeat the remaining enemy forces and seize the throne. With the war over, the few remaining members of Night Raid have gone their separate ways, disappearing without a trace. With new leadership and minor skirmishes here and there, the kingdom is in a state of constant flux. Amidst the struggle and confusion, a leader has risen to take charge. From the third battalion of the Revolutionary Army, commander and military strategist Ewan Yuwei has began the slow process of reforming the capital and it's surrounding territories into a home for all, affectionately renaming the Empire as the Kingdom of Vashur. By his side are a group of talented Teigu users, affectionately referred to as Night Raid in honor of the originals who gave their lives for the Revolution. .Working together, the new Night Raid scours the kingdom, purging it of the evil, sickness, and crime that has plagued the city for far too long. With their help, Yuwei pushes forward, attempting to forge a better future for his people and the citizens of Vashur.
But where there is structure, there will always be resistance.
Two years before the Revolution, Prime Minister Honest developed a contingency plan, should the Empire ever fall. Together with Grand General Budo and a few trusted messengers, the pair began an undercover search throughout the entire world over six months, attempting to find individuals who showed exceptional prowess in the killing arts. These individuals were given the titles of Kennzeichen,(The Marked) and were given one quintessential mission. Should the Empire ever fall for any reason, the Kennzeichen would leave their old lives and come together to enact a scorched earth policy on the capital and all its surroundings until there was nothing left, ensuring the secrets of the Empire remained forever hidden and that the land could never be used again.
With Honest and Budo gone, things have been set in motion. From different cities, towns, and villages, the Kennzeichen approach. They are the last remnants of the old Empire, the last of Honest's legacy, and all that stands between the Kingdom of Vashur and true peace. Their destination: a small village outside the border called Terrytown. This is where the new war begins, and where the first blow is struck...
The Marked are coming, and only death follows in their wake...
Rules:
1. Be respectful.
2. If you've got issues with another person on this site, take it elsewhere. This Roleplay is not the place for such drama. This is meant to be enjoyable, not stressful and frustrating.
3. All Iwaku rules apply.
4. Two characters per person is the limit for now. If a character dies, I will allow you to replace said character. I do have a couple story arcs I'd like to eventually incorporate, so obviously some characters will die. As such, it is only natural that new ones will join the story.
5. Don't God Mod. It's pretty simple. There is character death, but don't go around killing everyone without permission. You know how this works.
6. Grammar and spelling. It's not hard. I get we flub here and there, but just do the best you can to write proper, coherent sentences. It makes it easier for all of us. (:
7. Have fun. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I'll try to respond as soon as I can. (:

-
Night Raid: After the original members of Night Raid vanished, the legendary team was reevaluated and reformed by Commander Yuwei. After scouring his forces, his citizens, and other worthy individuals around the world, the leader of Vashur organized a new team of skilled Teigu wielders that he felt he could trust the Kingdom's safety with. The team is lead by a single Captain and two lieutenants who attempt to keep the team in line.
- The Marked: Kennzeichen
-
Discovered by the late Prime Minister Honest years before the Revolution, the Marked are a group of individuals scouted out from around the world for their unique talents and abilities. After being brought together for the first time, the Marked were individually tested by Grand General Budo in single combat. After each member proved their worth, they were given a small signet ring adorned with the Black Lotus; an omen of death and the Kennzeichen's signature symbol. The top three of the Marked were called the Irezumi, the best of Kennzeichen and leaders of the association, ranked as Irezumi: Ichi, Ni, and San.
After the Marked went about their separate ways, they lived their lives doing whatever they wished until the fall of the Empire reached their ears. While this took longer for some than it took for others, each knew what it meant, and understood that it was time for their mission to begin.

- Important Information
-
For the sake of this roleplay and the story the world is in, there a couple differences from the story we are telling and the original story. First, I am changing the rule on when two opposing Teigu wielders meet.
"If two Teigu users engage in a battle, both with killing intent, one of them is certain to die."
This is being changed so characters don't have to die every second and to extend the length of this roleplay. It would be a bit ridiculous if everyone was dying so often we couldn't keep up with who was dead and who wasn't. So, consider the above rule void. There will be character death in this series; it just might take a little bit longer.
Second change. It was stated in the series that there were only 48 Teigu. I am removing that limit so I don't have to keep track of all the Imperial Arms and worry about whether there are more than 48 or not. Not something for you to really worry about, but just a footnote of explanation.

Danger Beasts: (危険種, kikenshu, lit. "danger species"), sometimes also referred to as Risk Species are fearsome creatures in the world of Akame Ga Kill!. They are extremely hostile and will attack any human who dares to wander into their territory. Due to the increasing number of Danger Beasts, groups dedicated to hunting them were formed.
Some Danger Beasts' bodies have been used in the production of Teigu, utilizing the unique qualities the Danger Beast had in life to imbue a piece of equipment with powers.
The most powerful Danger Beasts are categorized as "Super Class".
These beasts are known to be extremely dangerous. It is unknown which criteria need to be fulfilled by a Danger Beast to be placed into to the "Super Class". It can be assumed that "Super Class" Dangerbeasts are very rare and many were killed because of the threat they pose. Danger Beasts can also be created artificially.
Teigu: (帝具, Imperial Arms) are mysterious and extremely powerful relics that exist in the world of Akame Ga Kill and were created by the First Emperor. They are rare, and only the strongest of warriors are able to wield them. Some have the appearance of equipment or weapons, while others seem to be living creatures. It is implied that a form of magic was used to create them.

Ewan Yuwei: Ewan Yuwei was the third battalion commander of the Revolutionary Army before the fall of the Empire. After seizing power of the kingdom, Commander Yuwei founded the new Night Raid and assigned them to clean up the city. While he was the founder of the new team, he leaves them to their own devices most of the time, trusting they will do the right thing.
Commander Yuwei wields a sword Teigu called Thousand Blades: Strike of the Demon, a powerful sword that casts mirages as Yuwei engages in combat. Not much is known about the Imperial Arm, but it a highly sought after weapon that many have tried to claim, but none have succeeded.
As more NPC's are introduced, they will be added to this slide.
So which side will you choose? Will you defend the Kingdom of Vashur as a member of the Night Raid? Or will you bring it to it's knees as a member of the Marked?
The choice is yours. ~
