They were the first...what we now know as the Heralds. Five divine prophets who would paved the way for the coming of the the great brethren...the coming of the Old Ones. They marked the path in sacrificial blood and lit the way for their great arrival. However these five were only the first part of the Cosmic Prophecy, the first half of a celestial whole. A second set of prophets, known as the Harbingers have just recently left the impending signs, again marked in blood for us to follow. The Cosmic Prophecy is nearly complete and soon R'lyeh will rise. Our duty as the the Disciples Of the Great Old Ones is clear. We must replicate the signs as they were given to us for the completion of the Prophecy. Hail be to the chosen Heralds and Harbingers, hail be to the Old Ones...
*So this will be a horror/mystery/crime drama RP rooted in H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. There is a massive and sadistic cult who call themselves The Disciples Of the Old Ones who have dedicated themselves in service to the patheon of the Necronomicon i.e. Cthulhu, Azerthoth, Yog-Sothoth etc...They believe that the five brutal serial killers mentioned above were the agents of the Old Ones, paving the way for their return. They were the first five Blood Prophets, known as the Heralds. In the Necronomicon, a second set of Blood Prophets is named...these are the Harbingers and their crimes are seen as the final signs to usher in the coming of the Old Ones. The Disciples are wreaking a reign of terror across the country carrying out mass murder on a scale unimagined, replicating the crimes of the Harbingers. That's where our characters come in. We are the Harbingers...a gang of five serial killers, psychos and mass murderers who are believed by a bloodthirsty cult to be divine prophets. Only trouble is, this is news to us. Law enforcement across the country is overwhelmed and it has finally been decided to bring us "The Harbingers" together in a kind of Psycho Squad to help bring this cult of madmen to justice. Will we be any help to the F.B.I. or will we prove to be just as unpredictable, dangerous and evil as the Disciples themselves?
