Fantasy! I love roleplaying as supernatural creatures, especially dragons :)
Dragons were almost hunted into extinction by humans in the Middle Ages, both out of fear of their destructive capabilities and their desire to plunder their hoards and use parts of their bodies such as their teeth and scales as magical talismans.

The only dragons to survive were a small breed known as pixie dragons. Evolutionary pressure made them smaller, with them only being around 15 cm tall. They also developed abilities to help them go unnoticed by humans, such as invisibility, or the ability to turn into inanimate objects or other lifeforms such as pets, toys, plants, or shadows. Some pixie dragons live as almost parasites of human communities, stealing from them to build their hoards and even living within human households. Others prefer to live in nature but will still come into human settlements to harm humans, casting hexes and starting fires, as dragons are known to do (But no damsel in distress kidnapping. How would a pixie dragon even manage to lift one?). In general, they act like fae, usually tricking and meddling with humans, but occasionally helping. A select few humans can see pixie dragons, usually children, elders, or the mentally ill. However for the most part, they remain hidden.

One such clan of pixie dragons lives in the woods nearby the human settlement of Azaria, a sprawling city with a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages but now heavily urbanized, with all the hallmarks of a modern city such as a downtown with skyscrapers, an industrial area, and extensive suburbs. Some of these dragons prefer to stick to the forest, but others venture into the city.

Misiabear's Characters:

Lily Oxalis. Lily is small and weak, even by pixie standards, only about 10 cm tall despite being fully grown. She is a light green colour, with pink wings and underbelly, and with flowering vines growing all over her body, producing pink and white flowers. Lily also does not possess any offensive capabilities, despite her mentors attempting to teach her how to fight with her claws or breathe fire, she never quite got the hang of it... However, she does have the power to heal other living beings, with a combination of her own innate magic and items that have magical properties such as herbs and crystals that she scavenges from the forest or nearby human settlements. Lily also displays a strong spiritual connection to the dragon spirit world, being able to commune with the dead if she has access to the right place (a puddle, during the full moon) and ingredients (a white lily flower). Lily prefers to lurk in the suburbs, giving her access to human sources of food, reducing her need to hunt. She enjoys sneaking into human houses and using pillows or pet beds to sleep in, and stealing small soft items to make her lair more comfortable. There is one particular human household that she likes to live in, however they also have a cat that can see her and often harasses her so she has to be careful living here.

Lily's small claws kicked up clumps of dirt and grass as she ran, dragging a small plush cat in her mouth. She flapped her pink wings furiously, trying to take off, but she couldn't. The plushie was too heavy, or she was too weak. On her tail was a brown tabby cat, quickly catching up. Lily squeezed her way under a gap in a wooden fence, hoping the cat would be too large to fit. This would buy her some time.

In the woods now, Lily paused to catch her breath, listening for the sounds of the cat trying to shuffle under the gap or clamber over the fence. She only heard the wind rustling through the trees, and her own heavy breathing. It was safe.

Still dragging her prize, Lily nosed her way through the undergrowth, feeling the softness of shrubby leaves brush against her scales. She slithered into her den, on the outskirts of the pixie dragon settlement, dropping the plushie in a pile of similar soft toys that Lily used to make her bedding. Although her hoard had less monetary or magical value than those of the other nearby dragons, her items were still valuable- after all, who wouldn't want to lay in a soft, warm bed, especially when winter rolled around? This one was not for trade though, she was keeping it.

After resting in her bed for a minute, Lily decided to visit the main meeting area of the dragon community, looking to tell her friends about her exciting adventure and brave stand against the cat. She may be small, but she definitely wasn't a coward!
