Heya!

Recently I have been thinking about pirates, traders, and the vibrant life of the sea (thanks to Our Flag Means Death), so now I'm on search for a fellow roleplayer, who would share my passion for pirate adventures! :)

-THE PLOT-

It hasn't even been a week since [YC] set sail on the tranquil waters of the Caribbean Sea. Boredom had become a daily companion, the weight of a privileged yet unfulfilling lifestyle taking its toll. After constructing an impressive cherry-wood vessel and assembling a capable crew, [YC] made a bold decision to leave it all behind, venturing into the world of trade. Striking a deal with a prominent merchant at the Merchant's House, [YC] set course for one of the trading locations.

Little did [they] know, this would be a fateful mistake.

Not far from [their] trading ship, 'Grim' ([MC]), a pirate-enigma with aspirations to rival Blackbeard's infamy, had anchored his ship for the approaching evening. Lately, [MC] had grown weary of the monotony of piracy, finding it no longer challenging. His once ruthless crew had become complacent, demanding more violence and chaos from their captain. And his godforsaken vessel, which he had acquired -almost- fairly, felt too small for the mighty, fearsome pirate

And that's when he spots it — the perfect ship, standing gracefully on the horizon. Even from a distance, it was evident that the ship was not only massive but also expensive, robust, and manned by people who were too soft for a fight. 'Grim' wants this ship; it's his 'Destiny'.

The attack unfolds under the veil of nightfall. The traders knew what was coming, and were somewhat prepared for the battle. However, 'Grim' was much stronger, his presence haunting, as he disappeared into the shadows without anyone noticing again and again. He was cloaked entirely in black, his eyes highlighted with charcoal, thriving in the midst of chaos.

Many men on both sides had fallen during the fight. 'Grim' was victorious, and yet, he, for his own enigmatic reasons, he spared the former captain ([YC]), who now found [themselves] shackled to the sturdy cherry-wood column of [their] own ship.

-ADDITIONAL PLOT-

Some time back, [YC]'s journey took a purposeful turn when [they] came into possession of a cryptic map, hinting at the location of a cursed treasure. Seeing the excitement of [their] crew, [YC] decided to pursue the idea of finding the treasure. The map is laden with enigmatic riddles and mysteries. Realizing [YC] needed assistance, [they] set course for a [trading location] to gather rumors and information, hoping to exchange a few coins for vital knowledge.

SOME REQUIREMENTS:
  • No smut;
  • Be literate to advance literate (300–1000+ words per post (depending on the situation));
  • Our characters can either have a platonic relationship, or a romantic one;
  • Even though there's a plot, I insist on occasionally improvising to enhance the roleplaying experience;
  • This tiny plot doesn't have to be the end of our adventure -- we can always pause and discuss what we would want to happen next;
  • Don't be afraid to sprinkle drama now and then -- makes things spicier;
  • Most importantly, have fun, sailor!
