He gently laughs then says" most of my expert medicine kit is back at the market as well, as most of my tools and advanced weapons and other stuff as well but i do my best to prepared as possible".
He starts walking back to the lab and then says" i know you don't mind useing your power but it's too risky in the long run, I'll make a potion to help you then some goggles to reduce the strain some more".

Tenshi-27-LE Laborer, Rain-25-BE Forager

Stepping further into the wilderness beyond the facility, Tenshi and Rain soon found themselves surrounded by an eerie, untouched landscape. The air was crisp, carrying the scent of damp earth and something faintly metallic. The further they walked, the more the land seemed to shift—trees with twisted, dark bark stood unnaturally still, their leaves a deep, shimmering blue under the dim light. Some plants pulsed slightly, as if alive in ways they shouldn't be.

"This place is... bizarre," Rain murmured, crouching beside a flower that oozed silver-like sap. As she reached out, the plant recoiled, curling its petals inward as if aware of her presence. She scoffed, pulling her hand back. "Yeah, that's not creepy at all."

Tenshi, meanwhile, had paused near what was once a road but was now a wild path of overgrown grass and tangled roots. Deep claw marks marred the pavement, long and jagged, as if something massive had scraped against the ground in a frenzy. He ran his fingers along the grooves. "Whatever did this… wasn't human."

Rain turned at his words, arching a brow. "You sure? Could be from when everything first collapsed." Tenshi stood, gaze scanning their surroundings warily. "Maybe. Or maybe there's something out here with us."

The ruins of a once-thriving civilization loomed ahead, half-consumed by nature. Towering remnants of old buildings stood in eerie silence, their surfaces covered in strange organic growths. Vines wrapped around shattered structures, pulsating faintly like breathing organisms. Symbols—etched into stone yet still glowing—marked crumbling walls, depicting figures that barely resembled humans, with elongated limbs and hollowed-out eyes.

Tenshi ran his fingers over one of the symbols, feeling the deep grooves beneath his touch. "Whatever happened here… it wasn't natural." Rain followed his gaze, stepping forward. "Looks like there was a civilization here once," she mused. "Or at least something like it."

The deeper they moved into the ruins, the more unsettling the environment became. They caught sight of movement—something large lurking in the shadows. It didn't move like any animal they recognized; it slithered, yet had limbs, its silhouette constantly shifting, making it impossible to discern its true form.

Tenshi instinctively stepped in front of Rain. She raised an eyebrow but didn't argue, instead whispering, "I don't think it's seen us yet. Maybe we should keep it that way."

Carefully, they backed away, choosing a different path that led them deeper into the wilderness. The hours passed as they wandered through a graveyard of forgotten structures, where metallic skeletons of buildings lay twisted and broken. Roads had caved in to reveal underground tunnels, and pools of water sat eerily still, reflecting the sky like endless voids.

Bones littered some of the ruins—some too large to be human. Whatever once ruled this world had long since vanished, but something else had happened.

As the sky darkened, reality settled in. Roughly six hours had passed, or at least that's what they thought.
"We should head back," Tenshi finally said, his voice low. "Who knows what comes out at night here."

Rain nodded, though her eyes lingered on the ruins, the glowing symbols, the shifting shadows in the distance. Whatever had happened here, she had a feeling they hadn't even begun to uncover the truth.

With one last glance at the lost world, they turned and began the long walk back to the facility. The ruins stood silent behind them, shrouded in eerie stillness—yet, deep within the crumbling structures, something had been watching. Unseen eyes followed their every step, lingering as they disappeared into the dense wilderness.

It wasn't until much later, as the unfamiliar paths twisted and the fading light cast strange shadows around them, that they realized the truth.

They were lost.

I cough.
I...I'll try to vomit, Cynthia. But... I try to sit up, but fall back into Cynthia's lap, gripping my head. So many voices... No... SHUT UP! I scream to the sky, tears rolling down my face. Cynthia, Jaxon... please... make it stop... I choke out, my voice trembling as I continue to sob.

Kaleo|16|BE Forager|Location: Lab|Trinity, Runar
Kaleo didn't pay much mind to the blonde as he flew by them. He turned the pad towards himself for a moment before turning it back around 'Considering everything though, we should move with caution.' He pointed at the word caution more, just to make sure they understood. He didn't want anything happening to them.

Runar|24|BE Forager|Location: Lab|Kaleo, Trinity
Runar nodded, "We'll be cautious Kaleo... Besides I'd rather not stay within this place any longer than need be. It gives me the chills. Or perhaps it's just the connection it has or used to have with those people." His body shook slightly as if trying to cast off the haunting feeling of the bastards who had experimented on them. Almost like a dog shaking away stress, not that it did much to ease his thoughts. He frowned as someone darted past them going on about water.

Cassidy Coke|22|LE Forager |Location: Outside Lab|Charlotte
Cassidy nodded, "That's where we can work together. You make the plots for control purposes and I'll start growing them. Actually that's not a bad idea to start with. I wonder if there are some tools we can use to start it up. Shall we look for the perfect spot?" She asked, now starting to feel excited about it as well. With her power they could plant just about anything. Though if it was something that didn't do well in the current environment, she'd have to pour more power into it. That would be a bit more taxing. She was also pretty curious about some of the plants she saw. They seemed familiar yet different.

Alex|28|BE Leader|Location: Outside Lab|Open
He sighed as he picked up the creature, its fur was thin and slightly coarse to the touch, but not unpleasant. If he skinned it nicely, maybe they could use it. He really wasn't sure for what though. A rug? It'd add a touch to their base. He looked it over, before nodding, "Let's get it cleaned up."

Cynthia Hane|20|LE Forager|Location: Outside Lab|Henry, Jax, Ella
Cynthia frowned, "Jaxon, what does your healing intel?" "Well, I might be able to ease the voices if it his mind messing with him...I can possibly bring him a bit of comfort..." Cynthia frowned, knowing he asking him to do so meant. She closed her eyes before nodding, "Please give it a try....if we can't keep him at least somewhat calm then he could go into shock. I don't think any of us are really equipped to handle that."

Jaxon|24|BE Forager|Location: Outside Lab|Ella, Henry, Cyn
Jaxon nodded, "Alright! Hey buddy, I'm going to try and help. I need you to tell me if anything starts to change. Okay..." He pressed a hand to Henry's forehead, his hand glowing slightly as he slowly poured his power into Henry. He said they were voices so his target was his mind. Usually his ability only calmed people, but with something wrong and as chaotic as Henry was, maybe it'd do more. He could only hope...

Ellawese Gale|25|LE Leader|Location: Outside Lab|Jax, Henry, Cyn
"I still don't like this idea of you possibly hurting yourself, but if it can help. However, do not push yourself to a breaking point. Do you understand, Jaxon?" Jaxon glanced towards her giving a small nod, "I'll try not to." Ellawese nodded, "Good, Liam want to come help me look. Two pairs of eyes are better than one."

Vendy|17|BE Laborer|Location: Outside |Hidalgo
Vendy followed the sounds of his steps, but she almost tripped over herself when he said he'd make a potion to help and even goggles. "Wait...you can actually do something like that?" Excitement laced through her voice at the thought of being able to see like a normal person. But it quickly subsided, "Wait, if you can do that, then why didn't they make something for me besides this stupid blindfold?!?" Her arms crossed in annoyance as she thought about it before a sigh escaped her, "Never mind...don't answer that. I know well why they never did. Because it wasn't important enough to matter." She ran a hand through her silver hair.

Echo Chofen|16|LE Laborer|Location: Outside Lab|Aiden
They finished digging the holes and Aiden pushed the bodies into them. During their dig, he'd mentioned several things for food. "Why are you so into food? All it's meant for is to sustain life. Honestly I find it to be a pain. Having to make sure we eat or drink..." Aiden glanced towards Echo as he brushed off dirt before grabbing the shovel and pushing dirt over the bodies, and Echo just watched him. Not that he minded it, she was younger and he didn't mind doing a decent portion of the work.

Aiden Luxwell|28|LE Laborer|Location: Outside Lab|Echo
"To me food isn't just for survival, I mean perhaps in the current situation saying that may seem foolish to you." "You wouldn't be wrong." He chuckled, "Just wait, when everything gets settled I'll make you some kind of dessert. Ever had any certain flavors or scents stand out to you?" Echo shook her head, "No, everything I've ever estan has been rather tasteless." Aiden gasped, "WHAT?!? No, that will not do! Are you telling me you've never enjoyed a single meal?" Echo shook her head, "Most my meals for preheated things in bags. Oh, and weird shakes. They were the worst." Aiden felt a bit glad to see her showing a bit more of a human side as she spoke of the horrible taste. He chuckled, "Then you will be ever so surprised...just wait until you eat my cooking! Your mind will be blown!" Echo frowned, "But I like my mind staying intact. Brain explosions will kill you." Aiden stared at her for a moment before rolling his eyes, "It's a figure of speech..not a literal thing.""Ohh...okay, because for a moment I was wondering why you'd want to kill me."

Hidalgo gently sighs then says" had my mum and her team not being forced to run, things would different". He pauses for a few moments then says" At some point i plan to fix this mess, but yes i can make both for you given my skill sets and my some of the stuff i have on hand". " The medicine i make may end up being bitter but i will try and balance it out as much as possible".
He stops and offers his hand and says" till you recover hold my hand, i know it's akward but I'd rather you not face palm into the ground".

Vendy thought about his words for a moment, so his mother had been a part of all of this? She was sure it was weighing heavily on him. She lifted the blind for a moment to take his hand, shaking her head, "Doesn't bother me, believe it or not, this is how I'd get around often with the others. I just wasn't going to ask that of you since you aren't originally part of my group. I was going to peek through the blindfold here and there. Or go off of memory from when we walked this far, but within this twisted landscape, who knows what I'd trip over. Or worse, if I'd end up lost." She chuckled slightly at the thought of being lost without full-usage of her eyes. "As for bitter medicine, I'd take that any day if I could see like a normal person. Even if this place is a twisted shell of the world we once knew. I want to see its beauty fully. At least once before I die." She gave his hand a gentle squeeze, "I don't know if you are talking about fixing the mess because you feel guilty or what, but I will say don't try carrying someone else's burden to save or help others. Not only will that wear you down, but if the results aren't as you wished, it may very well eat at your soul."

He gently smiles then says" the thing is if i don't finish what mum was trying to fix then who will"? He pauses for a few moments then says" under normal circumstances i would've of only been looking out for my sister, but these are far from normal ay".
He lets out a dry laugh then says" you and the other girls are like sis, trying to brave this new world maybe that's why I'm weirdly maternal".

Vendy chuckled as they walked, "Well I've long since learned, whining and crying doesn't change, help, or fix things. It doesn't help you survive, so why view things in such a down trodden manner when sometimes positivity is what opens your eyes to a solution." She gave him a soft smile, "Now, even though I say that, I by no means am perfect and I do have my depressed moments. But honestly who doesn't. I also know there is a limit to ones positivity before they could be considered naive or just down right dumb." She shrugged, "Emotions are so complicated. Either way, what I meant was just don't break yourself trying to fix something you didn't cause. If that makes more sense." She doubted she needed to explain it further but still the urge to do so had remained. She got the feeling Hidalgo was the type of guy who would get so lost in taking care of those he cherished, he'd skip over he own well being. She could have been wrong, but it was the feeling she got.

Sure right behind you boss lady. he said in a slightly worried tone he still had concerns for Henry's health but he quickly switched his demeanor as he hoped that Henery would get better.

She stood heading towards the lab while explaining what they were looking for. "As long as the scientists didn't do anything dumb or foolish like changing the container it'd be in then we are looking for a squarish or circled brown bottle. But in case they did change it for...well, I guess possible storage purposes would be an okay reason. Still though....we just need to try and find that sort of bottle first. If not then we will be reading labels for a bit." She said with a small groan, as they made their way into the lab. She really hoped it'd be simple, but a part of her didn't want to get that hope up. Nothing was ever simple, not with anything involving those damn scientists.

He playfully smiles then says" can't argue with that logic, i just guess I'm used to fighting for everything so I'm not used to what they call true peace of mind" . As they walk towards the depo he starts to get visions of his past.

As I feel Jaxon's power flowing through me, the voices grow louder, and I start sobbing.
Stop... they're louder... MAKE IT STOP! When it all goes silent. I gasp, as the voices fade, and I shiver, curling into a ball. They're gone... they're gone...

Tenshi-27-LE Laborer, Rain-25-BE Forager

Hours passed, and the once-crisp air now held a heavier chill. The sky above had faded to an eerie twilight, painting the world in deep purples and blues. Tenshi and Rain trudged through the overgrown remnants of a forgotten civilization, their movements careful yet increasingly tense.

"We should've been back by now," Tenshi muttered, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the unfamiliar terrain. The ruins had seemed straightforward, but every turn brought them to more broken structures, winding pathways that led nowhere, and bizarre plant life that pulsed faintly in the fading light. If they remained lost, no one would be able to come for them because no one really knew they had left and traveled far.

Rain clicked her tongue in mild irritation, crouching beside a collapsed building, her fingers running along a smooth, dark metal buried beneath the rubble.
"Yeah… either we got turned around, or this place is messing with us." She looked up at the ruins looming around them—twisted metal, crumbling stone, and glowing symbols that pulsed faintly in an unseen rhythm. It felt like the ruins were alive, shifting when they weren't looking. Then came the sound.

A faint, wet scraping noise echoed through the ruins, barely audible but persistent. Tenshi stiffened, his muscles tensing. He turned slowly, his sharp gaze scanning the dark spaces between the ruined buildings.
"Tell me you hear that," he murmured. Rain's expression darkened. "Yeah. And I don't like it."

The shadows between the ruins seemed thicker now, moving almost unnaturally. Whatever had been watching them before was still there following, and stalking.

They moved forward with urgency, weaving through the ruins, their focus shifting between finding a way back and keeping an eye on whatever lurked behind them. As they passed another ruined structure, they found themselves at what seemed to be an old street, its cracked pavement barely visible beneath creeping vines and strange luminescent fungi.

Tenshi exhaled in relief.
"This looks familiar. If we follow this, it should lead back."

Rain glanced over her shoulder one last time. The scraping noise had stopped. But the feeling of being watched hadn't. "Then let's move. I don't want to see what happens if we stay too long."

With that, they pressed on, the ruins finally fading behind them as they walked back toward the facility. But the air still carried a lingering tension—even though they were headed home, something was still watching.

And it wasn't finished with them yet.

Charlotte Coke 15 LE Labor

Charlotte beamed with excitement as she glanced up at her older sister, her heart racing at the thought of building the garden together. The sun streamed through the leaves overhead, and she felt a swirl of joy in her stomach. "Once we finish building the garden, what do you think we should plant first?" she asked, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm. She loved the idea of creating something beautiful and bountiful alongside her sister. Stretching her arms above her head, she surveyed their surroundings, eager to find the perfect location for their project. "Let's go find the supplies we need! It would be amazing if we could dig into the earth and make it come alive with vegetables, fruits, or even colorful flowers!" Her eyes sparkled with the anticipation of what was to come.

Trinity, 16 – BE Forger

Trinity yawned and stretched her arms, still feeling slightly groggy after a long sleep. The curiosity about the outdoor world tugged at her. "Just be careful, I promise I will stick close to you," she murmured, her voice laced with both excitement and trepidation. The unknown possibilities of the outside world were intimidating, but her desire to experience it outweighed her fear. "Hey, Runner," she added, addressing her friend with a hint of hope. "Maybe it will be alright outside—maybe those people are gone now. We might not have to worry about who was there before." Despite her fears of losing her vision and the uncertainties that lay ahead, she felt a surge of determination to support her friends in their quest for adventure. The warmth of camaraderie gave her strength, and she was ready to face whatever awaited them beyond the walls they had known. @DarkMoon
